It's outdoor seating only, but a Plus is that it's very family friendly. The food is always good! I always get the Chaparrito #2, ceviche with shrimp, the portions are very generous for this one. My husband always gets Tacos el Gobernador (3 shrimps tacos) Only downside for me is that the Chaparritos are now $30 but still sooo tasty! This is definitely a treat for me Don't miss it, if you passed

I called the restaurant and the peraon told me it doesnt come with rice and beans...but its literally listed on Uber like that...for almost $20. I also ordered 1 asada and 1 chorizo, both were chorizo. Ordered tres leches, also missing. The only correct thing that I ordered and received was the tostada, which wasn't exactly palatable because it was SO soupy! The bottom tortilla was just soggy mush. Positive note: the chorizo tastes good.

I ordered shredded beef flautas and the beef had zero flavor, the tomatoes were so super soggy, and the shredded lettuce was the butt end of the head. The Chile verde was good. The restaurant was clean but the air vents could use a good scrubbing. The server was so nice, the food runner was also so nice. Then we were checked on one time after our food was delivered and the server said she was going to bring another tea and that was the last time we saw anyone for 20-25 minutes. Then the lady that brought our food out came and asked if we needed boxes. We never got refills on our drinks.

The restaurant is family owned, and our server was the owner's daughter. Our food came out quickly and was amazing--the portions and drinks were generous, the chicken in my enchiladas was grilled well, etc. Unbeknownst to us, she sketched the 3 of us while we ate on our check and it was the sweetest thing ever. I had to include it here. It was a little warm in the restaurant on a hot day so if you're heat sensitive that's a factor to consider, but otherwise 12/10 recommend.

I had the shrimp cocktail and clam chowder, and both were delicious. The reason behind the bad review was the manager. Our waitress was absolutely amazing, she was friendly, attentive, and deserving of recognition. Unfortunately, a manager (Carmen) came to our table and apologized for our waitress supposedly being rude, even though she had been wonderful to us the entire time. The manager's comments felt unnecessary and she was unprofessional, and we felt terrible that our waitress was being spoken about that way in front of customers. We ended up tipping her extra because of how well she treated us and how poorly management is treating the employees there! My husband and I own our own business and would never treat employees in such a way! Do better!

We were really looking forward to dinner at what we believed would be a true steakhouse experience,…read morebut unfortunately, it was nothing close. Honestly, it felt more like a diner pretending to be a steakhouse. My husband ordered the $80 ribeye, and it was an absolute disappointment served cold and overcooked. For that price point, we expected quality and attention to detail, neither of which we received. We also ordered the calamari appetizer, and it was by far the worst calamari I've ever had soggy, cold, and completely unappetizing. To make matters worse, we ordered drinks before our meal, yet didn't receive them until after our appetizer and salad had already been served, which only added to the frustration. I truly don't know if this was a server issue, a kitchen issue, or both, but the overall experience was incredibly disappointing. Between the poor food quality, lack of timing, and disappointing service, this restaurant completely missed the mark. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good food, quality service, or an actual steakhouse experience.

My girlfriend and I decided to try Tacos Y Tortas Chalio's after she mentioned they had great…read moredrinks at reasonable prices, and overall we had a good experience. The restaurant offers both dine-in and takeout service. There isn't a host stand, so you simply walk in and let them know whether you're ordering to go or dining in. The dining room was comfortable. It wasn't the coolest restaurant temperature-wise, but it wasn't uncomfortably warm either. The highlight of the visit was easily the michelada. It came with chamoy and Tajín on the rim, a tamarind straw, shrimp, cucumber, and a lemon wedge, all seasoned with Tajín. The presentation was excellent, and more importantly, it tasted fantastic. It's easily one of the better micheladas I've had in the area. For food, I ordered a vampiro with asada along with tacos featuring chile verde, carnitas, al pastor, and asada. The vampiro was different from the ones I've had in Mexico, but it was still very flavorful and came loaded with beans, meat, cilantro, and onions, plus grilled onions and a pepper on the side. The tacos were also very good and came with grilled onions, peppers, and lemon wedges. My girlfriend ordered the mixed molcajete with avocado on the side. The portion was huge, and there was enough left over for another meal the next day. Everything we tried was flavorful and well prepared. The biggest issue during our visit was service, though I don't think it was the fault of the employee working the floor. It appeared there was only one person handling the front of the house while also making drinks, taking orders, delivering food, and managing takeout customers. Once a few tables filled up, it became obvious she was overwhelmed. For example, when we ordered our first round of drinks, I also requested waters for the table that never arrived. By the time our food came out, I had finished my michelada and had nothing to drink while eating fairly spicy food. I had to walk up and request another drink and water multiple times before receiving anything. The employee was always polite, but it felt more like a staffing issue than a customer service issue. Another thing that stood out was the number of flies around the dining area. It wasn't enough to ruin the meal, but it was noticeable enough that better fly control would improve the experience. Overall, the food and drinks were excellent, and that's what ultimately carries this review. With a little more staffing, better fly control, and slightly cooler indoor temperatures, this place could easily be a five-star experience. As it stands, I would still gladly return and would recommend it to anyone looking for good Mexican food and excellent micheladas in Visalia.
