After calling them they said my prescription needs to be "reviewed " by the pharmacist before pick up, I waited over an hour to pick up. When I got there they said the same thing. I stated you said that over an hour ago. Waited about 20 minutes, came back in and they said the EXACT SAME THING. I said " Why don't you call me when you get around to filling it" and I walked out. Incompetence and lack of concern come to mind. Apparently they give no mind to people that are in their pharmacy waiting, waiting.. I sure wish there was another pharmacy in town. This is the most unprofessional pharmacy I have ever been. I don't personally use this pharmacy but family and friends have asked me to pick up their meds for them. Every time I have come to pick up a prescription, there is always some reason it's not ready. Today I go to pick up ear drops for a friends high school daughter. Young man asks may I help you? I tell him who the meds are for, give him her birth date. He keys the information in and then says " there was a problem with the meds so it will be a few minutes." Now the mother was told it was ready a half hour before I even got there. So 22 minutes go by and I yell back to the lady filling prescriptions " how much longer is it going to be? " She asked me can't you see I'm short handed? I said no. As I do not know that the 5 of you could not handle it. I was angry and load but she was a very mean nasty lady. She told me I was no longer welcome in this business and to have someone else pick up my meds. I told her I don't care, she is not hurting my feelings as I don't use them because of stuff like this. I was not harassing any one of the employees there. I was being rude to the rude lady in the back. I know I'm a dick but don't give me a reason by being rude because you can't ever get prescriptions done in a timely manner and someone calls you on it. No stars! The staff can't help what the pharmacist does not get done in time. None of them were rude. It was a girl's first day , she was observing the 2 guys on the register. Extremely disappointed in the pharmacy staff. Not the gals they send out to the counter it's the rude gals/pharmacist in the back. They have always been slow and poor at communications in the past but I chalked it up to small town with high demand and have always been patient. Now last night I was in the ER ALL night long with my 2 year old for a wicked bad ear infection that was causing vomiting and the whole 9 yards. I dropped off the prescription as early as I could and was told 45 minute wait time. Ok great, I could make that work and still get to my daughter her meds before my husband brought her to her next day appointment over the mountain in Santa Rosa. Note: this was for antibiotics and nausea medicine for a very sick 2 year old! I show up a little over an HOUR later figuring I'd give them some time. Only to be told they had a label printing issue and I'd have to wait. I told her I at least have to have the antibiotics made now so I could get my daughters next dose on board before she traveled down the mountain. Only to be given further grief about my need to wait. Ok great insert apology here-except none came. No apology from the counter staff just a reiteration of the label machine being down but now back up. No call prior to my arrival to explain the issue. And a snarky glare from the pharmacist as I explained again how bad I needed this medication before my daughter traveled. Absolute last time I will be using this pharmacy. Can't wait till the new shopping center comes in with new businesses and hopefully another pharmacy. Wanted to add that I come from a family of pharmacists who would NEVER dream of giving their valued customers such attitude. And I've worked in the Veterinary industry filling prescriptions in a busy pharmacy myself. I get it, the days are long and hard but a little compassion and a little heart go a long way at retaining business and not upsetting your customers. read more

Very disappointed in this pharmacy. I worked in a pharmacy for 4 years and have some idea how a proper pharmacy should operate. This pharmacy does not even come close. They are unwilling to call a prior pharmacy for a transfer. They will not set up a prescription for an auto refill, told me I had to call them. These are regular functions of a proper pharmacy. Also, when I filled my husband's prescription I had provided them with our insurance information. When I picked it up I was billed $7.00 for a 30 day supply, which was higher than I had ever paid. When I transferred the prescription to RiteAid in Clearlake and pick up two prescriptions the total bill was $2.50. Obviously, Coyote Valley never applied the insurance. Also, as a side note, I thought about applying for a job there and one of the questions on the application is illegal to ask per employee hiring guidelines. read more

I am never going back to this pharmacy because I had put in a request to have a prescription sent over from a previous pharmacy and apparently it went through and I was not notified about it and my husband was almost out of his medication by the time I had to go to a different pharmacy who got the job done right away and let me know it was filled. Something needs to be fixed. Possibly a automated message or something letting the person know the meds are ready and not just send them back. read more

Unbelievable! I arrived at the pharmacy at 6:00pm and 30 seconds- 30 seconds past closing. They let a customer out the opposite door and quickly locked the door and turned off the lights. The customer they let out acknowledged they knew I was outside. Seriously? Where is the customer service? Keep in mind they recently changed their hours from being open until 7. I did not know about the changes until today when I came to pick up my prescription. You've lost my business for life - and I'll tell everyone one else I know how rude you were. Within the last year this pharmacy has gone down hill. I went in May to try to get help with my dads prescription and the pharmacist was beyond rude. I went today because I heard they have a kiosk that you can print pictures. The picture paper ran out and when I notified the front staff they weren't sure how to change it. One of the friendly front staff Lucia asked the pharmacist(apparently the owner) and she said "I have no idea tell her to go online"....uhh ok?? I asked "why do I have to go online when I want an instant print?" Annette, who works front staff, responded and said "you can come back Monday" with an attitude. First, why do they have a photo kiosk if they don't know how to maintain it? Second, why is everyone so rude? The whole time I was in there the pharmacist was being nasty to the staff and getting frustrated with patients that called in about their medications. I'm disgusted with how unprofessional this business is. read more

Convenient location with helpful staff! Was able to find my prescriptions ready the following day after visiting the Clearlake clinic.

What a wonderful pharmacy! The staff is personable and the gift shop has a big variety! I only wish they had a Middletown location!

We are an elderly couple with a lot of prescriptions. Coyote Valley always make sure that we get the best value for her prescriptions. If the medication isn't covered by our insurance they check to give us the best discount that they can. We have been very happy with them and have been using them for several years now because our primary care physician is in the same Shopping Center. read more

Coyote Valley Pharmacy has been friendly and customer-oriented in the past, especially Ruth the pharmacist/owner. Today I had very poor customer service by Laurie who refused to take back a product that was not what I expected and actually damaged my skin. At first, it was because I didn't have the receipt. I purchased it from her only yesterday. Then she insisted it was what I had asked for. Other local businesses would have accepted the returned product and made sure I had what I needed. This pharmacy is probably the worse in the county! The pharmacist is extremely rude. I went in today to pick up a perception for a client( because I go else where) and asked for a Clorox wipe to clean the pen the gave me to sign paperwork(think about it, sick people use that pen) the lady was very nice and said no problem! The pharmacist said under her breathe" then bring your own pen!" Really? Maybe they should clean their pens after every use instead of spreading germs and sickness to everyone! read more

Not very cooperative gave me a hard time when every other pharmacy had no problem with my prescription. I miss Hidden Valley Pharmacy.

I just moved to hidden valley so I thought I would get a pharmacy close to my house, so I had my meds transferred to coyote pharmacy. Today I had hand surgery. Last week my dr tried to send a prescription to them, it would go through, the dr office the called to ask if there was a different pharmacy to e script it to. When I went after my hand surgery to pick up the pain med. I was told that they would not fill it and I was"pharmacy hopping " this was loudly said in a store full of people. I asked to talk to the pharmacist she the came out, and said very loud I won't fill your proscription because your are have medications filled at too many places. This is not true, I use one pharmacy by my work and one by my house. I was so embarrassed that she was accusing me of being a pain medicine seeker, when all I wanted was the medication that my doctor had called in. This pharmacy has violated my HIPPA information by telling everyone in the pharmacy my name and medication. I am filing a HIPPA complaint and also a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and consumers affairs that licenses pharmacist. I called back the pharmacist and informed her that I was filing a complaint about her and violating my HIPPA information. This pharmacist was rude unkind and all she had to do was call my doctor to clear anything up but instead she chose to inform everybody in the pharmacy that I was trying to do something illegal. read more

This pharmacy wouldn't have gotten a star at all except its a nice looking shop with neat stuff inside, overpriced of course in my opinion, but its nice to look at. The customer service leaves a lot to be expected. The technician I always have to deal with has a terrible attitude 100% of the time, both in person and on the phone. The one and only time I ever asked to speak to the pharmacist for a consult on a new prescription, I was treated like she thought I was a complete idiot for asking questions. She gave me no information and told me with a snooty tone that my doctor should have gone over this. I left no more comfortable with my knowledge on the medication I would be putting in my body than I came with. My next experience with this business I was made to wait (with no medication) over 3 days until the next business week for a prescription I need daily because the pharmacy told me multiple times they hadn't received the refill and blamed the doctors office. I had the doctor send it multiple times over a 4 day span, only to find out the pharmacy hadn't checked their fax machine. I am constantly told when I call about a refill that they will call me when my medicine is ready, I've received that call maybe once out of a handful of times. After I pick up my prescription today, I will immediately be changing pharmacies. There's no reason to feel like a burden to the business you are spending money at. read more
