The food was amazing! Chips with cheese dip and salsa started off the amazing experience. My coworker got the quesadilla chicken and it was super WET with cheese dip and she said it was sooo good. I got the Hambalaya and it was so good. Just the right amount of kick. Rice piled with shrimp, chicken, and smoked sausage. We've been here a few times and it's always been OK, adequate. We were there Dec 1 for a late lunch and I had. Lupitas Platter which consisted of over fried dry out chicken wings, some beef nachos which were over salted, chicken quesadillas which were slimy and gross... not edible and chicken taquitos which were dry and like rubber. Haven't been for several years ,wife and I went for lunch, did not disappoint plenty of food and leftovers too. We walked in another time to get lunch to go and I asked for shrimp cocktail and was told they don't have it anymore, not popular and expensive. Told him I know they are. I had the carne asada and it was the most authentic and flavorful I ever had. The service, food and authenticity can compare to any across the United States. Delicious food and great service. We were seated immediately and our drink orders were taken right away. First time we've eaten there since their move and the new location is great. They got every detail right... hand painted seat backs and booth dividers, bar with big screen TVs (Tour de France was playing while we were there) away from main seating, large outdoor patio, decorative wooden bins with Mexican candy and accessories. Do not eat here if you have food allergies. I have a dairy allergy, and asked that they not put any cheese or sour cream on my food. But they did anyway. When I emailed the store about it they didn't even bother to respond. They simply don't give a damn. Also, their prices are outrageous. They now charge $20 for carne asada, which we can also get in Parkersburg for $12 (and the food was better in Parkersburg anyway). We won't ever eat here again. read more

Was my favorite place to eat. Was a frequent customer for the delivery service, for food at work. However they have on three separate occasions changed thier delivery policy's or had no driver. Ordered last week it was great food was little dry but okay. Went to order on the same day and same time and now they don't deliver, at all today. Like wtf why would they change that when they do get a delivery fee for every order and has a minimum you have to buy. read more

I am so bummed. This was one of my favorite spots for a really long time. The food was fresh-tasting and the staff was always very helpful. Lately, though, the quality of the food has gone down. For instance, the salsa, which tasted freshly-made, now tastes like it came from a jar. My husband used to get the same substitution all the time, and recently, they started saying they couldn't do it. He got something similar and just asked for a salad instead of the rice and beans, and they tried to charge him $4 to do that! This is such a bummer because it's not far from my home and there is really no other place for me to go and get my favorite chilles rellenos and margarita, but if the food quality is going downhill and they're overcharging for simple substitutions, it's really not worth it. I hope they go back to the way things were just a few months ago. I was hoping this was just a rough spot in the business, but it appears to be the way things are going to be. I feel bad for the servers, now. They used to seem so happy, but they don't seem to enjoy working there anymore. I miss their happy smiles. :( read more

GO TO Las Trancas it is so much better and right down the road! We used to eat here all the time and it's really went downhill! They must have spent all their money on remodeling the place rather than on the food quality. It looks nice and all but the food isn't edible. The last time we ate there they gave my son a raw hamburger, it was bleeding and I'm pretty sure I heard it "moo". We sent it back once and just gave up after that. Service was terrible!! Had drinks chips and cheese and waited over an hour. Waitress came back after an hour to ask if we wanted chicken or steak burrito after telling us it was only going to be a couple more min. She took my cup for a refill and didn't come back. We left after waiting another 40 min. As we are leaving the line to check out was very long. Told front desk worker we were not staying to eat but would pay for drinks chip. Had to wait in line and pay before we could go to another place to eat dinner. Las Trancas next time for sure!!! read more

We've been customers of Cozumel since it first opened in Ripley. Hadn't been in for a while but tonight wanted some good food.We noticed last time we were there that things were going downhill but decided to give it another try. The staff is efficient and the servers were friendly. Drinks and food came fast enough. But my goodness has the quality of the food gone downhill! My husband's taco salad was so small it looked like an appetizer. My chicken quesadilla came without the cheese sauce. I has requested no sour cream, but what's a quesadilla without the queso?? I complained to the waiter who explained that with the new management and menu that the cheese sauce was no longer included and had to be ordered separately. Really? I pointed out my husband's skimp taco salad and got an odd explanation about ground beef (which he had ordered) being cheaper than the other meats. One pale slice of tomato on top of the lettuce, a sprinkle of cheese and the meat in a half-filled shell. That was it, for $8.49. The waiter offered rice, but my husband declined--he was just too bummed to bother. I also complained to the checkout staff, and asked why I was charged a dollar more than the menu price for my quesadilla, and was told that it was for the cheese! Needless to say, we will not be going back. Really sad to have to cross this place off my list. read more

Wonderful place to eat. Clean, food is THE best and people are very friendly. This is by far the best restaurant in Ripley or Ravenswood.
