I wonder if they were from a can? I should have sent the fish back and offered to pay for the soup. My mistake. My wife had the tacos. Not a good choice in the Michigan Upper Peninsula. She ate one of them and brought the other home, which likely will go uneaten. I dont like bashing a restaurant on Yelp, but this whole meal was a disaster. However, the place was busy and loud. It's not nearly 10pm, it's empty and food is god knows where. I get it that this place is quintessential up north and has been here forever, but after waiting 30 minutes for a beer that was warm and wrong and now two hours for food, I'd recommend bringing snacks to quell the hunger while you enjoy the ambience. I hope it's good. If I'm still awake when it arrives. Two stars for the location.
