Great stop on your way through Escanaba for whitefish/perch dinner on the water. Incredible views of the lake. The drinks are fabulous and highly recommended. Cannot say enough good things about the service. Our waitress Jordan was lovely and came to find me out in the parking lot when I left an item at the table. Highly recommended.

We loved celebrating our 6th anniversary here. We had a seat with a beautiful view of Lake Michigan. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Our food was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. So impressed that the chef is 20 years old. We will be back for sure!

Beautiful view!

Wonderful views, right on the water. Excellent service! My friend is vegetarian and they were able to accommodate her very easily with a trio of enormous sides. She also asked for a citrus mocktail, leaving it up to the bar staff, and was extremely happy with it. For me, my cocktail was finished. Half of the dinner came back to our airbnb because, again, enormous portions. We did manage to eat all the cheesecake, though! Easy in, didn't have to wait although it was quite busy. A bit pricy, but we'll worth it.

Great location, great view, great service. The food was nicely presented, and portion sizes were ample. So convenient for grabbing dinner after checking in to the hotel. We tried the tomato basil soup and the lobster bisque, fish tacos with street corn, Caesar salad with chicken, and a Nashville hot chicken sandwich with fries. Everything was tasty!

What a gem in Gladstone, Michigan, just outside Escanaba. We really lucked out tonight. Beautiful restaurant on Lake Michigan, with upscale rustic decor. Super clean and excellent service. Wonderful drinks menu, full of local selections and killer craft cocktails. The Wildflower and The Butterfly Effect were standouts. Hubby also enjoyed a flight of U.P. craft beers. For apps, we had the Boston Bibb starter salad, beautiful and yummy, along with the Ahi Tuna, which was outstanding! For our mains: my daughter had the Red Thai Curry Shrimp and Scallop, which was delicious, but the spice level is not for the faint of heart or anyone with acid reflux issues; hubby had the Whitefish Sandwich and couldn't have been happier; I had the Upper Hand Beer Battered Walleye, which was excellent, so fresh. We also ordered the Wild Mushroom Risotto when the curry proved to be too hot for my daughter, and it was to die for! Taking the curry home to our son who loves spicy. They offered to replace it with the risotto, which was considerate, but we know our son will love it. Our server was really attentive and helpful, Nick, which made our experience even better, of course. Although this restaurant is part of The Terrace hotel, don't let that deter you from checking it out, though the hotel is also amazing! We loved it and can't wait to come back again.

Had no idea when we arrived at 8:30 after a long day driving that we had found a treasure! . We were greeted by the nicest and competent staff. We sat by the windows overlooking the water and prepared to choose which fantastic dishes we wanted. The menu included many gluten free options- I can't state enough how fabulous the food is and how professional the servers are .

Although there were plenty of tables available, the hostess placed me at a table with no view of the bay. Unsatisfied!

Terrible food. Salmon was way under cooked. Still raw in the center and they had to remake my wife's dinner twice.

Our server was nice and they were busy, so I drove back to pick it up. When I got home for the second time, I discovered that the $26 takeout meal was incomplete. The container only had the garlic bread, and the side salad that came with the meal was missing. Since the restaurant is about 15 minutes away, I called and asked if they could simply credit me for the missing salad. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, the manager immediately questioned whether the meal even included a side salad. It does. I ordered it, and it's part of the meal. He then told me the salad was $1.99 and that he could credit that amount in 8-10 business days. Since he didn't offer a salad voucher for the future I accepted. That did not sound right so I checked the menu after hanging up, where I found the salad actually costs $3.50. At that point, it wasn't about $1.50. It was about the way I was being treated. Rather than simply apologizing and making things right, I felt like the manager was being cheap and patronizing. Then I got irritated. So I decided to drive back to the restaurant again to pick up the missing salad. When I got there, the manager confronted me and said he had been "just about to process the credit", I told him he said $1.99 and that was not the price of the item, So I just came and got it. He then insisted he had told me he wasn't sure of the price. That isn't what happened. He confidently told me it was $1.99. It felt like he was trying to rewrite the conversation instead of taking responsibility. Oh his parting words were not I am sorry, it was "good thing I didn't process that credit!" Customer service 101 lesson, a good manager should know the menu, own mistakes, and focus on taking care of customers. We spent around $100 on dinner, and I wasn't looking for anything free just the item I'd already paid for or a fair credit. I expect better for the price. ($18.99 for chicken and fries.) The missing salad wasn't what prompted this review. It was the repeated attempts to avoid responsibility over a $3.50 side salad. He should have put me on hold. Looked and the menu and offered a customer focused solution. In the end, the restaurant likely lost customers over $1.50, not because of the money, but because of him. Mistakes happen everywhere. How they're handled is what people remember, and unfortunately, this experience left me feeling dismissed and irritated rather than valued.

Sometimes you just need to bury…read moreyourself in some greasy, fried food made under the music of Led Zeppelin or Sammy Hagar by a cook two packs deep and three shots in. As a solo eater this evening, I naturally ordered an appetizer and a burger, to get that full bar food effect. The appetizer was five (5) breaded jalapeño poppers. Those bad boys came out in the traditional paper boat only a bar can serve food in. It comes with ranch and when I popped that top off the little plastic ramekin, my heart melted more than when I saw a double rainbow. You guessed it. Home. Made. Ranch. You could put homemade ranch on a stick and I'd eat it. The poppers had that perfect breaded crunch, perfect amount of cream cheese filling, and good jalapeño taste. Poppers w/ life changing ranch 8/10. My main course was an olive burger. Nothing particularly popped out at me on the menu, so I just took my time scanning it and let the Bar of Influence™ guide me. I started with just the typical Bay de Noc burger, which is just "burger and bun." Direct quote. But I called an audible and decided to roll with the Olive Burger. Now, personally, I believe a top notch Olive Burger is made with an olive spread AND mayo. Not just olives and mayo. But, sometimes just that olive flavor calls and I don't care how I answer the phone. (To be clear, I answered the phone and it was just olives and mayo). Since I was feeling extra gluttonous, I added another patty. Stop. I know. I call myself those names, too. I do think that bonus patty might have been the patty that broke the camels back. Don't get me wrong, I polished it all off, but I felt degraded afterwards. OBDP (Olive Burger, Double Patty) 7/10. OBSP (Olive Burger, Single Patty) 7.75/10 "But what about the fries?" - You, probably. Okokok, relax. The fries were actually amazing. I never know the name/style of these fries (they looked normal with kind of like crispies stuck to them. Also kind of batter-y? I don't know. I'm not a potato). They had a crispy potato-y outside with a soft potato-y inside. They were the perfect doneness. Unknown Potato Style Fries 10/10. The ambiance was your typical bar type ambiance. High tables, low tables, pool table, juke box, tvs with sports, keno. Good spot. Go do it.
