This now being like the 6th time I have taken a CPR class here at CPR society over many years, I have definitely seen the business model evolve over time. It use to be in person with an instructor who was off script a bit, but brought humor and stole a few hours of my time. Now the facilitation of the CPR class in current day is in my opinion improved in that it is taught from a digital instructor/video and took less than an hour of my time. For people like me who are just needing to brush-up on skills I already know, this is perfect. If you have never taken a CPR class before, it might seem a little strange and you might seek out a class taught with an actual human in front of you. Just understand what you may or may not be getting as to instructors/instruction and book what you might be most comfortable with. Although at the end of the class, there is an opportunity to ask a question to a human, you go the entire class working with others n the class and being watched over cameras but not by an actual human. Again, for a refresh, this works well for me. Efficient, checks the box of my refresh and relatively fast. CPR Society is easy to book classes on-line, electronically driven with manuals on-line and easy to complete with lots of time slots to make to make an appointment work around your schedule. read more

I was in yesterday to renew my ACLS and the whole process was so efficient. I've been here before for my BLS renewal and did hands on with a class. For ACLS, I did all the pre-course work on the AHA site and was able to just go in for the hands on portion. I was greeted when I first came in and guided to the ACLS hands on room. It was just me and the manikins. No pressure and felt very relaxed. I will deff be back for both renewals here. read more

Attempted to renew BLS, ACLS and PALS certs. I had an error when trying to purchase online and when I refreshed page, prices were significantly higher. I messaged their customer service number as they do not give option to speak to a person over the phone and was met with very immature responses from their support (owner?) when asking if the initial price could be honored. Update: Just received harassing phone call and texts from owner Alejandro immediately after posting my review. His phone call from the moment we spoke was extremely unprofessional and threatening. He had gathered my personal information, including my home address and employer, from the form I had submitted online to register for the courses and threatened to speak with my employer and mentioned that he "knows people" who live near my home. This is a blatant violation of my privacy to use personal information that should have been secure. Avoid this company at all costs. Will be speaking with PD if harassment does not stop. Update: Please remove my name and phone number from yelp immediately as this is private information and I did not consent to you sharing. Our conversations have been recorded and I am contacting the police department. read more

I got recertified in CPR and ACLS and it was such low stress! After doing the online portion and passing the test, the CPR Society offers a hands on testing at their office! I felt supported, had help if needed, but basically demonstrated my skills in a low stress environment with immediate feedback on whether my compressions were the appropriate depth and if I chose the proper med. This is my go-to place to renew my CPR and BLS as a healthcare worker. One time, I was the only one in the class, and the instructor covered the manikins and worked with me to actually learn and pass the test easily. The 2nd time, I was in a big class, and we watched a video, practiced on the manikins together, and went over the test questions thoroughly for everyone to not only pass the class but learn. read more

I took a class with them and never received a certificate! When I inquired I was told to check my spam at 12:14am. I still have not received my certificate and no one is responding to my messages and there is no working phone number. I feel like I have been SCAMMED! Update: After I received my certificate from Red Cross, the owner called, texted and emailed me more than 20 times asking me to remove this review. It's funny because there was no working number for me to reach them and they never answered my FOUR emails but after this review was posted they could reach me. They have indicated that it was not them who did not send my certificate but it was Red Cross in error. Yet they were the ones who failed to answer/respond to me, not Red Cross. This was my first time taking an ACLS refresher from CPR society and I will not be returning for future recertifications. I signed up for the "instructor-led classroom course" and was surprised to find out that the instructor was virtual. There was a man on the TV wearing a white coat that greeted the class. A video with someone else's voice teaching the class then started to play, however, these annoying commercials would repeatedly pop up on the TV screen. It seemed very unprofessional. At no point was there ever someone there in person to give me feedback on technique. I felt like I would have been better off just practicing with the manikin that could actually give me feedback. There were no breaks to use the bathroom so I had to leave in the middle of a video playing. Some positives- the room was clean. I got my card the same day by email. Parking was free. Overall, if all you care about is a quick recertification and don't want to interact with anyone, don't bother with the instructor-led course and use the manikin-or go with a different company altogether. If I had known I wasn't actually going to meet with someone in person let alone have a virtual instructor that doesn't give feedback I wouldn't have signed up for this course. read more

The perk for me is that you can do a full class day or a hybrid where you do the modules and check off on the skills portion. I did the latter and mannequin process was easy to use! If you are a healthcare provider in the Las Vegas/North Las Vegas/Henderson metro area, I suggest you look to them as your first stop for updating your credentials. Their website is user-friendly and easy to schedule online. In fact, I was able to get in same day in the last class I took a few months ago. Their staff was always quick to respond to questions or concerns I had. I remember one time I was signed up for the wrong class and the instructor noted my previous credentials and got me enrolled into the correct course later in the afternoon to make sure I didn't need to reschedule or make a second trip out to their office. Three stars because the class felt rushed. I came with my 13 year olds hoping to leave confident. We left feeling incomplete and in need of the provided video material sent in the email. If I wanted an online course I would've purchased an online course. If you're looking for the instructor to walk around and guide you and ensure you're locking elbows, using the correct finger pressure and ensuring the correct tempo, this isn't for you. There was a song suggested for the tempo, the class would've benefitted from hearing the song. We went over use of the AED but it was very fast with no instruction on how to find one. There is no cover for between infants and below adults- children. I was disappointed about that. There were also resuscitators on the table that didn't get used. I would've liked to have known how to use that. The class itself lasted about 35 minutes. read more

I have to say that the CPR classes have been upgraded the last few years ;) CPR society offering to do a blended class of online and in person is a great thing !!! I did a 2.5 hours online course (had great videos and explanation) and now an hour classes of actually hands on (puppets) to make sure I understand everything is faster and more convenient than before that you had to sit in class for 4 hours. Great location, easy to get here, lots of parking, the instructor has great attitude and experience. The instructor is really helpful, he brought up a suggestion for my certificate that will help me in the future. read more

Fyi, had to do the online precourse videos and exam(took about 4 hrs in total with videos x2 speed), but only went through the motions and a workbook together when I was there-not a complaint. No testing in person except making sure you can do cpr. Also, got the cards within a couple hours of completeing the courses which altogether was less than two hours. read more

Course had no oversight, no instructor/no human, and no testing to confirm anything was learned. People were practicing on mannequins incorrectly, and there was no one to tell them they were performing the technique incorrectly. This is dangerous and I would not recommend. read more
