Now, my son is starting his adventure at CSN for his two year in Computer Science with a focus on cybersecurity network engineering, and then transferring over to UNLV. The Charleston Campus is our primary location that I used to go to, and now my son goes to. He recently had to take a multiple exams to get his Microsoft certification in Office applications. All exams were provided at the Charleston College of Southern Nevada. College of Southern Nevada operates multiple campuses including Charleston, Cheyenne, Henderson, and North Las Vegas. There are several learning centers as well. CSN offers a wide range of academics and career focused programs including associate degrees, certificates, and multi pathways for transfer to four year universities. Some of their studies include business, health sciences, information technology, engineering, education, and the arts. I really enjoyed my time at CSN! My son is as well. The teachers and the community are fantastic. There are flexible learning options including online and evening classes. If you're looking to start your educational journey, I'd highly recommend CSN as a place to go to if you're local in Las Vegas!

With no…read moresugar coating and all straight facts, this school and it's instructor had shown us, students, their passion for teaching us and helping us commit to excellence. I started my journey nine months ago, and now I am done with my class. I am about to enter my Externship and possibly my future employer. I am very fortunate to have met such amazing instructors who helped me and my classmate get to this point. Ms. Crawford, Ms. J, Ms. H, Mr. H, and our classroom instructor who have pushed us, encourage us and have been very patient with us, Ms. Gamache. There are a series of events that I myself have struggled with due to my life and work balance, but Ms. G have been so understanding and phenomenal in keeping us steady and on track. As a person who works and supports a family while schooling, I appreciate how considerate and understanding our instructor. Everyone in this school will not promise you anything that they can commit. I am glad that I chose this school to take my medical knowledge. I have met such amazing friends and teachers that would help me grow, especially on the field. I will miss this place, for sure to come back again to take my Nursing class soon! To everyone, who has been so skeptical, I understand; I was in your shoes. I am afraid to take a course, get a degree or certification, and be jobless. The good news is that they have a job placement opportunity, and Externship is also one of the resources to build rapport with that employer and get hired after extern. Opportunity does not come gift wrapped. You must take the risk to succeed. I would highly recommend this school.

The coordinators have no care to help us find sites but keep getting more students ! Hardly have machines to practice on .... They get so much money but don't care about the students ! I'll be in debt forever because this NON accredited school... sure you skip your basics but that's primarily all you learn IN the program and SOME actual ultrasound . You won't feel prepared at all before going in the field . Oh and won't get your degree untill every cent is paid from your student debt. So tip is DONT go here ... they love to make it sound like a great program .

If you're paying out of pocket, choose your nursing program carefully. If I could start over, I would take more time researching the faculty, their qualifications, their teaching styles, and how grading is handled. This program is extremely rigid, and many of the professors seem unengaged and underqualified. You'll wait weeks for grades because professors aren't the ones actually grading the assignments; the "higher-ups" are. It makes the entire process feel disconnected and, honestly, a bit fake. There is little to no opportunity for improvement because you never get meaningful feedback. You don't see what you did wrong, and you can't grow from it. Some instructors feel like they're just playing a role, and it leaves me questioning whether they're even fully credentialed. If you do decide to attend Galen, take as many general education and prerequisite courses as you can elsewhere before enrolling. Especially now, with their accreditation currently under review, it's important to protect your time, money, and future licensure.

Throughout my time here, I witnessed many positive changes that directly benefited students and enhanced our learning experience. The faculty has been incredibly supportive, advocating for students' concerns while maintaining transparency and accountability. They provided the necessary resources for those willing to take initiative in their education and seek help when needed. Dean Green, in particular, actively listened to our feedback as nursing students and implemented meaningful changes that improved the program. The instructors were dedicated to our success, guiding us through complex nursing concepts and ensuring we were well-prepared for clinical practice. Hands-on experience in both the skills lab and clinical rotations was invaluable, allowing us to apply what we learned in real-world healthcare settings. These experiences truly reinforced our critical thinking and patient care skills. Overall, my time here was a transformative journey, and I am grateful for the education, mentorship, and hands-on experiences that have prepared me to begin my career as a nurse. For students who are committed to their success, this program provides the tools and support needed to excel. I've made long-lasting relationships with faculty, and students from different terms and programs and look forward to staying in touch :)

The Respiratory Therapy program is especially disappointing and clearly in need of major restructuring Many instructors are disengaged, unapproachable, and outright rude to students including Concerns are routinely ignored, communication is poor, and leadership is essentially absent. A large portion of staff seem disconnected from both students Multiple clinical sites have openly expressed negative experiences with this school and its faculty staff and embarrassing reflection of how the program is run. For the cost of tuition, the facilities are unacceptable. The building is small, outdated, and not remotely worth what students are paying. Students feel unsupported, unheard, and misled about what this program actually offers. There is a widespread lack of professionalism, and serious rumors about inappropriate behavior circulate due to the absence of transparency and accountability

From the beginning, I was upfront about my background, including my felony conviction. I contacted the Nevada Board of Nursing beforehand and was informed of the steps I would need to complete for licensure. I shared that information with admissions and was told I should be okay to continue through the process. I spent months studying for the TEAS exam. I failed my first attempt, second attempt, then kept pushing forward, and eventually earned a passing score. I completed the admissions requirements, wrote the required essay, and attended my interview with the program chair. The interview itself seemed to go well until I disclosed my felony conviction. While waiting for a decision, I could hear a conversation taking place about my application. What I heard made me feel judged and dismissed rather than evaluated as a whole person. It felt like my years of hard work, growth, and honesty no longer mattered. What hurts most is that I was transparent from the start. Had I been told earlier that my background could prevent acceptance due to clinical placement concerns, I could have made informed decisions before investing so much time, effort, and emotion into the process. My past does not define who I am today. I have worked in healthcare for 16 years, currently work in addiction recovery, completed probation, and have dedicated myself to rebuilding my life. People can change, and many of us spend years proving it. This experience only strengthened my determination to become a nurse. One day, when I am caring for patients, I will remember exactly how this felt. I will treat every person with dignity, respect, and compassion regardless of their mistakes, background, addiction history, or circumstances. No one should ever be made to feel less than because of where they came from. A felony may be part of my story, but it will not be the end of it!! Reading these reviews looks like you all did me the favor

I can honestly say Alex is a FANTASTIC teacher who really just wants you to succeed. He works really hard to help you get all the tools and training you need. It's on you to practice and get better. during the time of my schooling, I had just learned Blackjack proficiently and decided to go for an audition at El Cortez. Unfortunately, they told me they were full on blackjack dealers, but they can REALLY use dice dealers. Alex worked with me and helped me get better at the math and practicing with units. He gave me chips to practice my cutting and told me to come back whenever I want as often as I want but practicing at home too would be crucial for faster success. He was very honest saying it takes about 6 weeks to be proficient in craps and I appreciated his honesty and directness. I kept practicing, but my 5th week in my teaching job opened up and I took that job. Alex has ALWAYS invited me back to finish up the package I paid for even though I declined. He really wanted me to continue to have something to fall back on and invited me back on numerous occasions to finish training. I firmly believe he is THE BEST ISNTRUCTOR in Vegas and really just wants to see people succeed and get better. Even at this location 7 years ago, the other students also learning were sharing horror stories of other school not helping, not coaching, and pairing you up with other trainees that didn't know what they were doing. I never EVER felt this at CEG, I always had personal coaching every minute I was there from him or another professional, and everyone there would go out of their way to help you succeed. Alex is the best man for the job. I firmly believe he wouldn't do business with anyone that didn't share his passion to help others and am glad to see him pair with Casino Quest staff. I'm DAMN SURE his vision is shared by everyone he works with. I'd bet the farm on it. He's an outstanding coach and person, and this was 8 years ago before they even got "big"!
