I called to place an order in advance and Kaitlyn told me I could just go into the store and pick the ones I want. I wasn't sure if she would have that many selections upon entering the store but she did! They offered awesome deals. If you buy a dozen for $62, you'd get two extra complimentary cupcakes and I got an extra pupcake for purchasing 2 at $1.99 each! I appreciated that Laurel noted this place is dog friendly. I had Ocean with me and Kaitlyn was so welcoming and sweet to her. She gave me a small tray to serve Ocean a pupcake with and Ocean inhaled it in one bite! I also didn't realize the paper was still on it. Whoops! Ocean did not seem to mind and loved the carrot cake and peanut butter frosting. They are baked daily so it's recommended that they be refrigerated if you'd like to keep them for a few days. As for the human cupcakes, we got: Birthday Cake Wedding Cake Chocolate Dream Choco Biscoff Sunny Carrot Peanut Butter Cup Hot Fudge Sundae Salted Caramel Crunch Chocolate Cream Cookies n Cream Strawberry Lemon Red Velvet Pink Vanilla I got to try the Birthday Cake, Wedding Cake, Pink Vanilla and Hot Fudge Sundae. I thought they were going to be on the lighter, less sweet side because it's Asian owned, but the frosting is on the sweeter, heavier side. The cakes are moist and sweet as well. I especially liked the birthday cake with confetti in it and sprinkles. They are big and well worth the $! Super cute inside too!

Sweet Traders were not only able to fit me in for a tasting but also make a 6" heart shaped cake, lambeth style with black lettering, all in less than a week for me!! They absolutely kicked butt! I chose the lemon blueberry cake with vanilla Bavarian filling and my goodness, IT WAS DELICIOUS!!! It was so wonderful that my guests absolutely raved about it and I hope to get a small version of it every year for our anniversary. They really had the perfect cake to icing to cream ratio annnd the cake was so moist. You can see the ratio in the picture. The top and side is their wonderful buttercream icing, then the lemon blueberry cake and vanilla Bavarian cream between each layer of cake. And just when I thought my experience with Sweet Traders couldn't get any better, their pricing was extremely reasonable and fair! However, we were really disappointed in how they handled our order. We placed our order a couple of weeks ago and received our confirmation about a week later that they were ready to be picked up. However, the email only indicated that they were ready to be picked up anytime Mon-Sun at their popup location. When we arrived, the told us that they had taken back our order because it had been over 5 days and no one had picked them up yet. Then they told us they would try and see if they could recreate our order. TBH, that is the absolute most ridiculous way to do business. No where on their site did it say it had to be picked up within a certain timeframe, AND no where on their confirmation pick up email did it say it had to be picked up by a certain timeframe either. On top of that, they said that we should have called them. Um no, it's your small business, you have left over orders that need to be picked up, then you need to reach out to the customers and let them know they only have so many more days to pick them up before they are forfeited. That's how all small business, food-related or not, handle thing, especially when there are timeframe constraints. To be clear, the time constraint was not an issue IF they had even expressed there is one, but they never did. Please clean up on your business practices, it's very important to communicate with your customer base.

Took a walk during lunch today and remembered seeing a bakery a block away so I decided to walk to…read moreit and see what they had. Loved the selection! There were a few customers before me, so I had time to look around. It was nice and cool inside which was great cause I was sweaty from that walk. I ended up getting a mini coconut cake. My only con was, I wanted to make small talk with my cashier about my little lunchtime adventure, but when I did, there was no feedback, which was a little disappointing. I felt that they just wanted to service me so I could go. When I go back, I hope that changes. I would love to be a regular, maybe they will call me "the lady from across the street". It would definitely make me want to come on a regular basis!

For when I had the macaroons from Spilled Milk Cakery!!! They are the perfect texture and taste soooooooo delicious !!!! The salted caramel macaroon has the perfect amount of sweet yet salty taste, with a crisp outside and a soft chewy inside, these cookies are addicting!!!
