The pastries look and tasted so satisfying I was happy to have stop by here for a birthday treat. The service was amazing I gotten enough help with what a girl may like for her birthday taste buds and the he place seem small it got enough pastries to fill once stomach. I would say the place is big and clean being part of a bigger store in the inside I would have missed it.

My office was gifted a box of pastries from Renaud's Patisserie yesterday, August 29th, in the morning, and they were absolutely delicious! The box had a mixture of croissants, pecan pastries, and one with golden raisins. I got to try half of a pecan and the other one with raisins, and they were so goOood! They were fresh, flaky, rich, and full of butter. They paired so well with my hot cup of coffee in the morning. Delish and would totally recommend! I'll definitely come to the location to try out some more!

Cute small shop inside Gaison's Market. They have beautifully displayed of pastries & cakes that just make your mouth automatically water. Taste wise, delish & yum. Not too sweet but right amount of sweetness for sure. Price wise, on the low of high end but worth it for sure. Service is fantastic, very friendly, helpful and attentive. The place is clean and good vibe plus plenty of parking.

My family and I was suprised and love this nutellla cake. It was velvettee delicious that melted in your mouth. Theres a surprised crunch in the crunch. My daugther who celebrating her 19th birthday were really loved it. The service was fast and the server was very helpful! The place is inside Gelson by the entrance.

This Bakery is a tad pricey, but TOTALLY worth it! The impeccable attention to detail, exceptional texture, and incredible delicate flavor of each component makes every bite a pleasurable experience! I bought a selection of (3) Petit Gateaux for my mom's 94th birthday plus (1) for myself. (2) Exotic Cake-Mango, coconut and passion fruit mousse, pistachio sponge, and passion fruit glaze; (1) Raspberry Charlotte-Raspberry mousse, chantilly cream, vanilla bean madeleine sponge, topped with pistachios and a white chocolate square; and (1) Decadent Cake-Dark chocolate mousse, flourless sponge, and dark chocolate glaze.

This patisserie for sure brings a taste of France without traveling there. Delicious and decadent. With excellent quality products. Great service and amazing selection. I had tried so many wonderful things from here!!!! Highly recommended

Almond croissant, pain chocolate and morning bun! So delicious !

Took my wife and little one to Renaud's when we were in the area (around breakfast time). They both loved the selection of pastries they offer and the ones I ultimately chose for us. She noted the morning bun tastes and has the texture of what she imagined a "cronought " to have. We've never had a real "cronought" from the bakery in NYC, but had a lot of facsimiles (in California) that we didn't like. My wife couldn't stop talking about how delicious the morning bun was for her. Our little one (26months old) loved it all as well. Lastly, I want to acknowledge the awesomeness of the lower level of Gelson's outdoor area with its many tables and chairs. My wife having never visited the bakery and this Gelson's was impressed. It was clean and well organized.

For a little treat and coffee drink, this is our go-to place for sure. Nestled inside Gelson's (ultra fancy, premium-priced market), Renaud's really satisfy my sweet tooth. Plus there is nothing better than a French bakery. Nothing. :) The only thing missing here is the Eiffel Tower. Love an iced or hot latte. Depending on the season. I gravitate towards iced in the summer, hot in the cooler months. I love pairing my latte with: Raspberry Tart - for when you want and to satisfy your sweet tooth and be healthy in the same bite. Almond croissant - Loaded with almonds. Love. Again, almonds is really heart-healthy so you feel less guilty eating it. The shortbread cookies - perfect for dipping in your hot lattes. The mini cookies - you can never go wrong with chocolate chip. But do try all the flavors. The chocolate eclair - This is a treat for when you have been really good. So creamy and delicious as an eclair should be. You may need to run a mile afterwards Good thing I don't live walking-distance from Renaud's. I would eat nothing but desserts all day. Bon appetit

Oh my god, where has this almond croissant been all my life! 5 stars for this. There is a good amount of almonds spread over the top. A good flakey exterior and crunch to the croissant. And a sweet spread in the middle. Didn't look at what it was. Driving. Couldn't even take a picture of it. Their French macarons taste fresh and good. Service was so nice, friendly, and attentive for a grocery bakery. This is the bakery located inside Gelson's market. It is an order and go place.

Unique layering of their ham and cheese love it

This place popped up, and it was happy hour. So we thought why not. We got lucky and found parking close (rare for that street). And walked over and immediately loved the vibe. We walked in and were greeted immediately, and then brought upstairs. The decor on the way up was awesome. The old school nature, with paintings and abstract vintage pieces.. love. It felt like we were in an old industrial building. We were surprised that it was pretty empty when we got up there. We sat at the bar, and love the decor upstairs too. There's a view of the street from up there as well that's beautiful. The bartender greeted us fairly quickly, and we each ordered a speciality cocktail on their happy hour. Both were delicious. I will say that the prices are a bit steep for me. Very glad we came during the happy hour. But really want to return to try the food and more drinks. Maybe on a special date night out!

She was gracious enough even with there being little to no wiggle room- so shout out to her. Our servers were great, appetizers came out hot and delicious. I think we ordered 4 rounds of Brussels sprouts Drinks were tasty- highly recommend the espresso martini with a side of vanilla ice cream. Overall had a great time and appreciate the customer service!

Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. The service is fantastic as well. Ordering several small plates and sharing an entree was perfect for us. The pate and bread is delicious with a nice sized portion. Ditto with the tampenade. Also can't go wrong with the escargot. The poutine was a pleasant surprise since it is loaded with beef bourguignon. Wednesday night is really nice since they have wine board specials at an amazing price point. To top it off, location, location, location!!! It's great to walk around after over-indulging.

Wow! What a gem we found in this Seal Beach French restaurant! I had seen this place many times,…read morebut hadn't paid much attention to it. We were walking by yesterday and stopped to look at the menu and decided we would give it a try. The decor is very much as you would expect in a French bistro. There are blue checked tablecloths and art on the walls, and a long bar along one wall. There is a gourmet market attached, which has wonderful gift items (reasonable priced!!), and, of course French food products and wine (with win be tasting!!). I think one sign was that French was being spoken by many in this restaurant. We were greeted right away, and we're told we could pick out table. Our server came quickly, and was so nice and accommodating. We came in a Monday night, when select tapas, draft beers, and bottles of wine are 50% off. Neither of us was very hungry, so hubby ordered a French beer (so sorry--i can't remember the name) and we ordered a few tapas. We got: *Escargot in garlic parsley butter with warm bread *Soupe A L'oignon Gratinee * Lamb pops in wine reduction served with ratatouille *Beef bourguignon First, let me say that the food was amazing!!!! So delicious! There was so much garlic butter to sop up with our warm bread and escargot---deeeelush! The lamb pops were perfectly cooked and the wine reduction was also perfection. The beef bourguinon was the best I've had, and the tapas size, which is supposed to be a half of the regular size, was so big. There was soooo much beef--no skimping here. I know we will be back many times. We left so full and happy!

Compagnon oozes…read moretraditional French decor, an umbrella covered patio outside, a cosy bistro with full bar inside, and the comprehensive wine list decorating the wall, by the glass and the bottle. Like most French bistro they have a shorter but traditional menu, with the usual suspects - onion soup, pate, escargot, charcuterie board, mussels, steak frites, Bouillabaisse - but what drew us in was the duck confit cassoulet. We have eaten cassoulet in Carcasonne, the home of cassoulet, and this was definitely worthy of the name. Gamey, savoury, duck falling off the bone, beans swimming in an umami broth, definitely lip lickingly good. However the vegetarian cassoulet was not as flavourful, it was nice, but needed more garlic, pepper, some herbs or seasoning, a little more oomph. The fennel was delish, but the beans bordering on bland and there was very little broth to dip my baguette into. With a belly full of beans we decided to order dessert because why not! Life is short, eat dessert, c'est la vie. Creme brulee was creamy with a tappingly good sugar crust, and the chocolate mousse had a nice consistency but was overwhelmed by cinnamon, which was a pity. It was definitely worth the visit for the Duck cassoulet, and we will visit again to try the onion soup and moules.

We'd be happy to come down again in traffic, because it's absolutely worth the drive here. Some find the pizza sizes small or the prices high in comparison to your average pizza joint - but your average, everyday pizza place in California is just...ew. Their crust is very thin, Neapolitan style in a brick oven, beautiful and a little chewy, slightly-charred from the brick oven. Amazing texture. Traditionalists, so we just got the Margherita and Bianco, adding some mushrooms and a drizzle of truffle. SOO good. We also tried the fried zucchini blossoms, which were very light and not oily at all. Caesar salad was very delicious and fresh, also had the octopus, which was perfectly grilled and like eating steak. To finish, we had some amazing coffee with tiramisu. Wow. Not usually a fan, but their tiramisu was super light, not overly sweet, and super good. Thanks to our wonderful server, Diana ! Super friendly and everything came out quickly. So glad I finally got to stop by many years later for dinner! Parking was easy (on a weeknight). Plenty of street parking and many open meters but I can see it being very difficult on weekends. Bake in some time to find parking! There's both indoor and outdoor seating at this location. This inside is cozy and there's a second room for additional seating. I went on a Thursday night and it was slammed. They do not take reservations but they do have a waitlist via toast that you can join while you walk around and wait for your table. Plenty to do and see on 2nd street. We ordered the party platter for 4 people! It was the perfect amount of food with leftovers to take home. Everything was cooked to PERFECTION. Our beef was a textbook medium rare and was so juicy and tender, as was the rest of the meat. The chicken was so moist and flavorful, as was all the shawarma. All meats were seasoned beautifully. The rice underneath was stunning as well and really caught all the juices from the meat on top. The roasted tomatoes, onions, and pickles were the perfect compliments to help freshen up the palette during the meal. The sauces were amazing and there was a clear favorite (the garlic sauce) which was annihilated by all four of us. Service was friendly! It was very packed so it was slow at times but understandably so. They come by and give you orange blossom water for your hands post meal - what a treat! We smelled amazing! NO NOTES FOR OPEN SESAME! I have to come back with more friends! We did have an issue but it was with another patron who had the audacity to yell at my table (while I was in the restroom) for "having too much fun"?!?! This is a public restaurant and it was loud as hell in there because it's tight and everyone talks over each other, not to mention the open kitchen. The energy in the restaurant is exciting and frenetic. Ambiance (5/5): Although we didn't sit inside, it was super cute, with classy boho vibes. The restroom was clean and well-decorated (although, not gonna lie, I don't know how I felt about the big mirror facing the toilet). The outside patio area was airy, and although right by the street, I didn't find it unpleasant. Service (3/5): It was just so-so. They sat us down quickly, gave us our menus and checked on us maybe twice. It wasn't super busy, but we had to wait to ask for things like extra plates and water for our dog. Food Overall (5/5): Food was delicious. We got the beef shawarma lunch special and got fries for the side (extra charge) and also the chicken shawarma lunch special with the hummus side. Beef Shawarma (4/5): It had a nice toasty flavor, perhaps from the spices, and the pickled veggies really complemented it. My only complaint was that I wish it had a bit more of the white sauce (maybe adding more hummus would have helped). It was also strangely a bit watery, maybe from the veggies. Overall, it was still a yummy wrap. Chicken Shawarma (5/5): The chicken shawarma tasted more balanced to me overall. I don't recall the meat being dry, although I did also slather it with a bit of hummus. I thoroughly enjoyed this wrap. Fries side (5/5): Their fries are made in house and it tastes so fresh. It was crispy on the outside yet still gooey and moist on the inside. I'm not sure if they make their own ketchup too, as it looked clumpier and tasted really fresh too. The kids gobbled this up. Hummus and pita (5/5): It came with a generous amount of both hummus and pita. The hummus was well flavored and blended, and it really complemented everything on the table. The pocket pita bread was not what I had in mind (I'm used to thicker ones), but the kids really loved it overall. Ice cream (4.5/5): We ordered two scoops from the dessert menu. They were both really thick, creamy and almost chewy like liquidized mochi. It was a very interesting texture but nonetheless a nice tasty treat on a hot day. I much preferred the vanilla bean, as the pistachio tasted and looked rather artificial (and I'm a pistachio ice cream lover). This place had so many to-go orders during the afternoon we were there. I can see why. Food is super fresh and tasty. I think we will be back the next time we are visiting.
