Unfortunately, a lot of the older homes in Phoenix do not have a garages. Jake came over the next day, after I called, and walked me through the process. At this time I wasn't really interested in this as my main concern was price. In todays day and age, this is the biggest driving factor. We walked through layout and dimensions, same as I did with the other four General contractors (one wasn't licensed) to make sure the bids were apples to apples. A few days later he provided a proposal which to my surprise was the most reasonable. We worked through a schedule and I was more than excited to get started (more so my wife than I). Wow, what can I say, he not only beat his own schedule but did an excellent job. I am a carpenter by trade and the quality of work in both carpentry and workmanship provided, exceeded what I have seen here in the valley. Long story short I ended up having him provide a bid for my bathroom remodel, which I did the demo myself to try to save some money. All I can say is thank you Jake, your customer service and quality of work was exceptional. They were flexible with us on timing that worked for both parties and were super thorough on communicating what was happening daily. They ended each day with photos of progress made and an update on what would be happening the next day, timing for those coming to the house, etc. They worked with us on our more unique asks (installing super old antique doors) as well as guided and advised us on bigger decisions (removing walls, where to put build-ins in our mudroom, how to best configure our new closet). Crazy enough, we finished on time - actually a couple of weeks early. They've been back a couple of times since just to help with small things we ended up wanting revised or that we messed up (like my husband backing into our new stucco....). I had to get them to come back to fix areas where forms didn't align and depth of curbing was greater than agreed upon. I also needed them to come repair 2 post footings that cracked and lacked correct infill. I decided to deal with the poor broom finish and 4x4 posts brackets instead of the 6x6 I had requested. To their credit, if I complained about something they always came back to take care things. But if I didn't know what to look for these would have all been long term longevity and stability issues in our finished slabs.

I'll start with the estimate- they replied to our inquiry so quickly as well as came to our house on time and gave us a quote within 24 hours. The quote was right on par with what the ending balance ended up being give or take a few add ons we requested at the last minute. We also loved that he has Yelp Guarantee, which put us at ease of mind when it came to hiring. Communication- he was incredibly professional with his communication with us and always prompt with a quick response when we had questions during the renovation. He kept us up to date whenever a renovation milestone was completed and gave us his opinions and answered a million of our questions whenever we had them.
