Was offered 1 mid-day spot for estimate at 11am on a Monday. I replied promptly and requested a visit after 3 PM M-F anytime Sat or Sun. No reply back. Followed up the next day no reply again. Followed up 2 days later and was given a lame excuse from Tom that he has been busy and is not available to bid this job. Steer clear of these jokers. Cant even bid a job or communicate with a potential customer. I use his messages to train my sales team on what not to do or what to do if you want to be fired. read more

Aaron the installer was right on time and has been very meticulous in his installation of our garage cabinets. He has a great sense of humor and seems to love his job very much, I recommend asking for him when you Neil's to do some work for any of the readers that happen to read my comments. Carly was our contact person and she did a great job explaining what we need and how the install would take place, she was knowledgeable and very thorough in her assessment of our project. Be sure and ask for her when getting an estimate. I personally don't care how long it takes as long as it is done correctly. At this point of the install they look beautiful. Just had PJ round to instal our cabinets. Great guy, fantastic job. Carly came to give us a quote a couple of weeks ago, and we then went to the office to finalize our choices. Met PJ there and he offered to do a Sunday install, which was great. This is a Family business and I couldn't recommend them more highly. The cabinets are gorgeous. I love all the fishing touches. I'm actually amazed at how good they look. I have used Neil's several times in the past. Always good. This time, I got a call the day before the scheduled install to confirm. The installer (Jerry) showed up in the time window, truck full of organized material and tools. He methodically went to work and in several hours I had new cabinets installed on both sides of my garage. He cleaned up everything when he was done and caulked all the way around the new cabinets. What a game changer. Now everything is organized behind a door instead of falling off a dirty messy shelf. Great price, service and quality. And they say you can't have all three. WARNING!!! I had my garage cabinets installed around 6 years ago. 2 years ago I noticed that I was unable to fully close 2 sets of cabinets. Due to the pandemic, I did not reach out to the company for repair until this past spring. I understood that they were no longer under warranty and was willing to pay for a service call. The 1st appointment I made, no one showed up. When I called, I was told the the gal who set the appointment was no longer there. Reset it for another month later because they only do warranty work when they are in that particular area doing an install.The morning of my appointment, I received a call that the job was cancelled due to the lack of a permit. Thus, I was cancelled too. I was promised a callback to reschedule. I have called several times and left several messages (all nice ones). I have not received 1 response. Now I'm angry! Neil's installed the garage cabinets a few days ago. The cabinets are fine so far except one cabinet won't close. They are supposed to come fix that next week. But my major issue is the guy who installed the cabinets did all the sawing inside the garage. So now all my things that were on the other side of the garage are full of sawdust. Sawdust inside my golf bag, on my vacuum, on my bicycles, on and inside boxes, inside of everything! When I watched Neil's install the cabinets in my neighbor's garage a few weeks ago, they did all the sawing on the bottom of the driveway so they had no mess. When installed the tech left our garage open, didn't clean up his mess. When calling the company about this, they gave me an excuse that the didn't have a tech in the area that day on 3 occasions. I was a little sceptical because of the low price quoted by Carl who came to my house. He did a great job of measuring and helping me select a finish, shelving and cabinet size. I was impressed by Carl and also the company's good reviews and A+ BBB rating so I went ahead and signed the contract. I decided to go with Neils due to the large number of positive references I received from neighbors. And I was Not disappointed! The salesman gave me all the information, I selected what I wanted, and the cabinets were installed in a timely matter. Installer was Great! Overall terrible experience! Save yourself some time and frustration by going with one of the many competitors. My experience started off great with my in home consultation, Rocky came out to my home and together we quickly developed a plan for installing cabinets in both my garage and laundry room. Things went down hill from there, my installer Saul was a horrible communicator and appeared to be super irritated about being at my home to complete the project. In the process of installing the laundry room cabinets Saul damaged the trim around my laundry room door and the walls of the laundry room while carrying the pre-fab components in to the work area. He left the job site with exposed staples in the laundry cabinets creating a significant safety hazard for my family. One of the doors on the garage cabinets was not properly installed which prevented it from opening and closing properly. Caulking and trim work was amateur at best and required a great deal of interaction from me. He also left the job site (AKA- my garage and drive way) with a nice layer of saw dust, a token reminder of our time together? Obviously I was disappointed with the product and service so I called the office to get resolution to the install issues as well as communicate my dis-satisfaction. They sent another installer out to look at the issues and take some photos. He was very friendly and fixed the door on the garage cabinet and the exposed staple in the laundry room. He said he was disappointed in the quality of the work he saw and said "I wouldn't want this quality of work in my own home", he asked who my installer was and I told him it was Saul. He replied "Oh, ok- No hablo" and then chuckled. He apologized and said that he would take his photos back to the office and speak to his boss and that I should hear back from them later in the day or Monday. Monday morning and afternoon came and went, no call. I called late in the day on Monday and began my experience with Jim, the Operations Manager. Jim did not seem to understand or care that I was frustrated by the lack of followthrough from his company. He simply stated that it had only been a day, What?! Your second installer was at my house at 9AM on Friday and it was now approaching 5PM on the following Monday. Either way Jim didn't care, he hadn't gotten around to me and I still wasn't a priority. It got worse from there, Jim's customer service and resolution skills include accusing customers of being "evil", stating that I was "only looking for money" and that I was lying about the damage done to my home. Additionally Jim could not seem to grasp the idea that I wouldn't permit the original installer, Saul, back out to the house to fix the issues. He actually told me that I don't get to tell him how to run his business! WOW!!! Jim did offer to come out to my home personally but I didn't feel like it was worth continuing down this dead end road. The WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Spend your money elsewhere! I have cut my losses at this point and am focused an using all forms of social media, the BBB, Registrar of Contractors and potentially news channel 10 to warn all other potential customers to BEWARE! read more

Save yourself aggravation and go with another company. We paid extra to have handles we had purchased installed on the cabinets. Half of the handles are crooked, and because the cabinets are cheap paper over particle board, you cannot patch and re-drill the holes, it would look like crap. We had one of the small single cabinets installed as a "floating" cabinet next to where we park our golf cart, so that we could put the small battery charger on top of it. About 5 months after the cabinets were installed, I went out one day and opened the door of this floating cabinet, and the whole thing fell off the wall, striking my shin as it fell forward toward me. It peeled a sizable hunk of skin from my leg. It goes without saying I was unhappy. I couldn't imagine how it could have fallen, until I looked behind it and saw that it had been merely stapled to the wall! The cabinet itself was also damaged when it fell. We called Neil's and several days later they were out with a replacement cabinet and assured me as they attached it to the wall it would not happen again. Well guess what? Today, my husband was getting something out of the cabinet and as he opened the door it fell off the wall again, striking him in the arm and ripping his skin off. You would think they would have learned the first time to install it into the studs, but when I looked behind the cabinet, it once again was stapled to the wall! The only thing different this time was a wood screw on either end, which was not screwed into a stud, just the drywall. My husband called the owner and when he said he was not happy about this, it being the second time, the owner said "call me back when you're in a better mood" and hung up on my husband. So not only are they providing shoddy workmanship, but when you call them out on it, they get extremely pissy and try to make you feel like the jerk! We are both lucky our injuries were not more severe. When they come back out I will insist they fasten the cabinet into the studs. The problem is, we have several over head cabinets, and I'm scared to death now that someday one of them will fall on someone and cause serious injury or even death. Please stay away from these people. They might be cheaper than other cabinet makers, but you get what you pay for. And considering these are not even wood, you are better off paying a bit more for something more durable. The finish is already peeling and chipping on mine. read more

New garage cabinets do look good, but the cheap board they used as shelves looks like it could hold about 30lbs without snapping. Cheap low quality material. Was expecting something that could actually hold some weight. Was told they could hold 130-250lbs. I would have no faith in these at all at that weight. Especially with no center support in long cabinets. Also had them look at my storage bins to build cabinets that would fit our 17 gallon bin. They do not fit! 4 Star for the look and price. 2 Star for the material. These are the cheapest particle board cabinets I've seen. Terrible first impression this company made. They've lost out on a few grand because of the way they treated me as a potential customer. First off, the receptionist wasn't friendly. She needs training on phone etiquette and tone. Secondly, the local sales rep for Goodyear that called me to talk details on what I needed done to my garage was even worse. She, too, needs training on phone etiquette. I inquired about pricing and she filled me in. "$3.50 a sqft...etc" I said "Ok perfect, would you be able to send me those numbers in a quote via email so I can have them to reference?" Her response: "Well, ummm I just gave them to you so we don't really do that" (Really? A sales rep that can't reiterate what we spoke on in an email that I can have saved in case I forget?) She said: "The next step would be for me to come out and take a look at your garage. But honestly, I only do this for customers that are ACTUALLY interested. I don't come out to look at your garage if you're not planning to purchase. How about you go ahead and talk with your HUSBAND or BOYFRIEND and see if it's in the budget then you can get back with me." What?! I never mentioned a partner (I live alone). It was the most bizarre, rude, laziest call I've ever heard from a "sales rep". Not accommodating, wouldn't send a quote and to top if off told me to go "check the budget with my husband" Neil's Garage.... I was very much interested in paying you for your services. RUDE! Perfect word to use for the receptionist with this company. We were told the cabinets are Neil Cabinets and she informed me the "lifetime warranty" does not apply. She also said "we have changed our warranty and the website needs to be changed". After I read the website word for word and questioned her about the what the website implied she started to back down about the lifetime warranty only to say if you are not the original owner the "lifetime warranty" does not apply. She changed again saying the cabinets and trim are covered if you can proof they are their cabinets by a receipts. After speaking with other cabinets company each company has told me they know their cabinets. Hmmmm. The rude receptionist never ask the address to verify if they were installed or indeed their cabinets which would have saved a lot of aggravation on both parts. read more

I had garage cabinets installed on April 5, 2014. What should have been a 4 hour job, for their most common set up, took 7 hours and the job was not finished. There were issues with a couple of the doors being warped. My installer told me I would get a call on Monday to schedule another appointment to finish the job. After the installer left, I wiped down every cabinet door and workbench drawers plus I opened and shut them. Well, I found 2 more warped doors which the installer went ahead and installed, a staple which was shot through the finish of a door, and a workbench drawer which was installed crooked. The original installer did not putty over any staples leaving that for the next installer to do. I did finally get a call back the following Monday but it was not until the afternoon. I spoke with Jim and he advised me what needed done. I told him, oh no there is a lot more which needs to be fixed and proceeded to give him the laundry list of things which needed to be corrected. He told me I would have to wait another 7 days before they could get someone to my home to fix all the problems. When the new installer arrived I showed him all the issues with the cabinets and drawer. He was not pleased with the quality of work performed on my initial installation. He also was not equipped with everything he needed to complete my job. So he had to go back to the shop and did not show up again until 3 hours later. It turned out the shop needed to cut new doors in my finish. I finally got the job done. Basically I guess the quality of work depends on the quality of installer Neils send to do your job. Everything did get fixed and looks good and operates as it should. My entire experience was frustrating and time consuming. I would not be very enthusiastic with recommending Neils Garage Cabinets to neighbors or friends based on my experience. read more

I hope I can save someone my mistake of using Neil's Garage Cabinets. They use particle board with a cheap laminate that looks chipped after installation. They put so many staples in my garage wall installing the cabinets removing them now isn't an option. First time placing a bin on the shelf the shelf fell and broke into pieces. I have given the company a chance to stand by their product but they haven't done anything yet to make it right. read more

Neil's was recommended to us by a friend and we're very happy that we used them. The quality of the cabinets so far (had them installed August 2019) seem really good. I arrived about 15 minutes late (picked up some donuts) and the installer was visually and verbally upset. I stood my ground (l'm the customer) and inquired if all was going to be good. I would not have a hard time turning him around and request a different installer. His attitude changed immediately and the quality of his work (casually observing) seemed to be outstanding. He was supposed to only need 1/2 of the driveway but he took up the complete driveway and garage. However, I should have specified that I was having other vendors coming in that day too. Once he was set up he pretty well refused to move, to which I requested the other vendors to work around him. He did do a few extra things (remove some peg board and installed handles on some drawers) of course for additional charges which I fully understand. Their sales rep Carlee is very knowledgeable and patient! She designed exactly what I requested and was built and installed the same. Would I recommend them? I might have 2nd thoughts and recommend to shop and compare. Even though we had a rough start our cabinets look great and seem well built. When I drug my tall ladder over later to start putting things in the upper unit I discovered it was missing a shelf. I have called and emailed the company to no avail. Called them for there was a gentleman named Rocky who worked for them at the time I had my cabinets installed and was excellent to work with. Called them and spoke to the receptionist who was rude, the owner was also rude I only needed a drawer face replaced and brought the old one with me including the drawer. The worker came from the back to look at the drawer and was more rude than the other two. Reluctantly he fixed the drawer. II got the drawer home and the face was not centered correctly and was wider than my other drawers I drove 45 minutes to get to their location . I called them and they refuse to remedy the situation. Absolutely the best decision since installing solar in our home in Goodyear! From the start, with Kirk, nearly six months ago describing their current 'special', to the finish, when Saul left yesterday, every interaction has been outstanding. Kirk made multiple visits, after I finally decided to get them done, in order to ensure I had exactly what I wanted.... even cut the effort in half so I can better plan the last half of the garage. Had a third set of cabinets installed by this company. Third set was in an inside room and wanted them to look really nice. We painted the room after taping off the top edge of the cabinets so not to get paint on them and when we peeled the tape off, it also took off the layer of 'paper like' finish covering the pressed board. Buyer Beware Do Not purchase from this company. I purchased two sets of cabinets one for my home and one set for my mother's home. I called because my cabinets started to peel. They came out took a look and told me it was a bad batch and replaced my door fronts and drawer fronts no problem. A year later my mother's cabinets did the same thing. So I called and receptionist was horrible. I left a message asking for someone to give me a call back. Later that day a manager calls me back and says she personally will go to my mother's (78years old) and check the cabinets to see if it is a warranty issue or water damage. Side note no water damage. But okay I went with it. She called me a few days later and said we charge a 50$ trip charge and we will take a look. So okay we paid 50$. Carlie (the manager) she agrees it is a bad batch and we will get it replace free of charge. Kinda we have to pay the 50$ trip charge. So install day is here and they start taking off doors and replacing the drawers. In the middle I get call saying that she made a mistake and In order to complete the job they need 170$. Or they will not complete it and leave. Unprofessional and do not stand by their warranty. Not to mention installer has terrible customer service. Carlie the manager calls and I am not happy with her telling me I need to cough up 170$ in order for them to complete the job. Then when I tell her no way she was the one the went to the home checked her self and ok'd the warranty work she hung up on me. I called and spoke to the receptionist (rude) and I asked that owner call me. Still waiting.... 10min later Carlie calls and leave me a message that they will finish the job and she doesn't appreciate my business. It's funny they didn't say that when I was referring them to friends and family that purchase sets of cabinets through them. Buyer beware! Bad customer service bad business ethics! First off, a nice older man came an took measurements and drew up a plan to install cabinets. (September 30, 2014) I didn't want my only electrical outlet covered, so I could access it easily. Sure enough when the actual crew of young guys came, the outlet was covered. (October 3, 2014). Their solution was to make a HOLE in my new cabinet for my electrical cords to go through. It's not only ugly, but I'm always afraid of what may have crawled in that cabinet through the hole. But, I let it go. Fast forward, (October 16, 2015), as I was coming home, I opened my garage door to pull my car in, and the wind blew a set of doors COMPLETELY OFF. I thought they must not have been secured properly in the first place, but I wasn't worried, because I knew I had a warranty for as long as I own the house. Turns out, that's not covered. They will charge me $65 for someone to even come LOOK at it. They call it an act of God, I call it shoddy work. The MATERIALS they used are covered under warranty. The makeshift ways they install the materials are not covered. They compared it to the wind coming through my front door and blowing over a vase! WHAT???? Freestanding vase vs. well-built and secured garage cabinets? No comparison. Vase vs. improperly secured plywood? Yeah. I get it now. If I had it to do over, I would have gone with another company. This is an updated review! I received a very courteous call from Carly that there could be an adjustment to a schedule and they will be able to have an installer out tomorrow. This was the best customer service and I have to give Carly gold stars for her patience and understanding. ********************************************************************************************************************** I wish I could provide a review of the cabinets, but I can only provide a review of the customer service at this time. When the gentleman arrived to measure and provide an estimate all was great. Then the problems started. I called to ask to have the configuration changed and schedule my appointment. The appointment was scheduled, but no one ever called me back about the change request. When I was called with the reminder I asked about the change request and was told there was no notes. The question was "who did you speak to?" My response was I was not sure and I did not realize I needed to get names and that there would be issues. So. once I was sure the change was added and now asked who I was speaking to "Jim". Well come morning just before my appointment time at 9am I get a call from Jim that my installer had a family emergency and could not complete the install. I said "okay" next Monday. I called back asking if there was any way I could get a late appointment since my old garage cabinets were emptied and all over my garage I wasted last weekend emptying the old cabinets and would not be able to use the next weekend to put things away. Could someone work extra since the company does not have a good way to deal with employees being sick or having emergencies. Well that was the wrong question. They cannot ask anyone to work extra and have no way to cover these situations. Since I already have garage ceiling racks, I only needed a 12 foot cabinet. Maybe that's why I had issues. I got a lot of attitude and was told "I hope you mother never gets ill and you have to go to the hospital", then hung up. Well folks my mother died when she was 49, over 25 years ago. That was an truly ugly statement. Not once was there an apology for the inconvenience or did they even recognize there was an inconvenience.
