They take a week in a half to do it and really only felt like they started it the day they said I could pick it up because once they "finished" it and told me to come get it there was another problem that they would have to keep for the weekend. They ended up fixing that for free. The light turns on again 4 days later on the same tank of gas I got it back in so I bring it back and the very nice kid working told me they brought it to the other shop that does teslas and other modifications. He was confused about why German Motors themselves didn't do it. So he clears it and says it will be free if it turns back on. About 3 days later it turns on again and I bring it back the next day. This time they finally take my insurance for a loaner car. And then they send me another estimate of 2k worth of different stuff not related to the first problem. They brought it somewhere where it shouldn't have been worked on and are now making me pay for there mistakes.

The situation is this I live in my van with my dog and am an equipment mechanic and welder and I took it to them because I don't have time to continue to works on my van. With my job and lifestyle involving being in the dirt, sand and grease my van isn't the cleanest but they are claiming it is a health hazard based on that. They contacted my mom before contacting me because they thought it was an awkward conversation causing family problem. I got my van back with issues it use never had before. Do not use this shop! Stay far away!

Just pressure test and light cleaning on 2 heads. I was charged 175 for taking parts off they said it took an hour and a half when nothing even had any hardware... But then I found Thomas Machine Corp and thought I'd try them out. Explained my situation and discussed on a full pressure blast, valve job, and replacing valve seats. And Eric did a phenomenal job and got me right! Absolutely pleased with the service and also very kind guys here and very helpful. Cost aware too, they know what they're doing and they're here to help and get people right by providing top notch service! Got my car back up and running asap and it runs like a dream now.

Here are the main issues I had: -There is now a large dent on my rear bumper that was not there before. Now I have to pay to replace the entire panel. Erik, the owner, does not want to assume responsibility because "his employees said they didn't do it". Yeah, seems believable. I know for a fact the truck was moved on an almost daily basis and parked on the street because Erik has so many cars backlogged, he doesn't have room on his lot for many customer cars. I wonder how a dent could happen which this brilliant system in place? -This entire process took nearly double the time estimated with Erik putting many walk-in appointments ahead of my vehicle. At least two weeks went by after all of the parts had arrived before work began. There are cars on his lot that have been there over six months with no work being completed. He said that he prioritizes vehicles based on how badly the customer needs the vehicle back instead of the usual "first in, first out" approach. Sure makes me feel special! -Several parts and labor time was added on the final invoice that I did not approve. I paid it, regrettably, because I wanted my vehicle back after having spent over triple the time waiting on it as originally promised. -The power mirrors do not fold in. I paid for the mirrors to be installed properly and they were not. -The headlights do not turn on and off automatically. I paid for proper installation of the headlights. -The grille does not line up with the hood. The panel gap is off by at least 3/4 of an inch. It looks terrible. I paid for the grille to be installed properly. -The stitching on the dash is damaged. It was not damaged before. -The front sensors were not installed in the front bumper. I expected this to be part of the install for the front bumper. Now the parking system does not function. I took the truck back to Central Import for an estimated five days so that these issues could be resolved. After TWO WEEKS had passed with several texts and calls ignored, Erik called me to inform me he was done working on my truck and to come pick it up. He was extremely rude and said he did not want to work on it anymore and hung up twice. He called me a liar and used several profanities. To my dismay. I discovered absolutely no work had been done in the two weeks at their shop. What a spectacular waste of time. I would not take a Hyundai Daewoo into this shop with 500,000 miles. It's disorganized, overpriced, and absolute chaos. Not to mention, unprofessional. I don't think anything has ever been finished on time in the history of this entire operation.

I picked up a couple of great deals on work at Wiese Auto Center at the Better Business Bureau…read moreSilent Auction this year during the Central Kentucky Home And Garden Show. Took my car in for a 4-wheel alignment and oil change, and to get an estimate on the A/C, which hasn't worked for more than a year. Everyone was nice and they got my car on the rack at my scheduled time. I appreciated that the mechanic, Bentley, came out to talk to me about the car and what I needed done. I mentioned to him another mechanic told me there was a busted line and the entire A/C system had to be replaced ($450) So Bentley said he would check it out. Finished up in a reasonable time and I got on my way. Was told an A/C hose was busted and it would be a couple hundred $$ to fix, but no need to replace the entire system. I don't have the $$ then so I passed. About 2-3 miles down the road, car starts being weird. Every time I stop at a light, the oil light starts going on and off randomly and dinging. I start back up and it goes off. Stop again and it comes on again. I pick my son up and we go back and tell them what's happening. Bentley says he forgot to reset the oil light. Takes it back and fixes it. We leave again, and 3-4 miles down the road it starts dinging again. By this time it's 4:55 on Friday afternoon in Lex traffic so no way I'm going to make it back before closing. Keeps doing this all weekend, oil level is fine, but this issue is something new so on my way to work Monday I drop it at the dealership just to be on the safe side. Good news is they can't find anything wrong with the oil situation. Bad news is they can't find anything wrong with the oil situation. So now the oil light just goes randomly on and off whenever it feels like it. In other news, turns out the A/C line had jiggled loose and crimped an O-Ring. This let all the coolant out. No busted A/C line at a couple hundred $$ and no $450 to replace the system. Dealership replaced the O-ring and recharged the system and for $60 bucks I have a nice cold A/C. Overall, I might use Wiese Auto Center again. It may have just been a misfortunate coincidence that after they changed the oil the oil light now goes on and off randomly. The inaccurate assessment of the A/C issue gives me pause, though. They ARE members in good standing with the Better Business Bureau, so that's a plus.

As I was heading to another repair shop Siri found, I happened on Weise and pulled in. I rarely write reviews, but I can't say enough about the staff or the service. Indeed there was a must-fix problem before I could continue on to Cincinnati. Within an hour and a half, the problem had been diagnosed, the part ordered and delivered, and the repair done. The cost for parts and labor of $146 was a surprise as I'm sure it would have cost much more than that elsewhere. If I luved in the Lexingon area, it is where I would be having my car taken care of.
