Again it was on Christmas Eve. But We found someone who could come and assist us. Again ,it was Christmas Eve .! We knew the price would be a little higher due to the Holiday Season, but never really thought it would be this much just to watch me in action. So after I changed my tire , and carried his jack back to his truck for him, we were asked if we would be paying with cash, or card. Figureing cash would be a cheaper, and that he merely Watched me change my own tire ,,,well we got charged $100.still.!!! The Good Lord only knows what the card option would have been. The tow truck driver was kind to us but still $100 for some kindness that we should be extending that to each other anyway. The store was clean, everything was well stocked, and even with plenty of people coming through, the service was fast and organized. That's one thing I like about Buc-ee's. They can be extremely busy but somehow keep everything moving. I got the North Carolina BBQ sandwich, and I loved it. My wife enjoyed hers too. The food is one of the main reasons we stop at Buc-ee's instead of a regular gas station. There are so many options, and I really like seeing the new food and snack choices they continue to put out. Every time we stop, it seems like there is something different to try. The selection of Buc-ee's snacks, popcorn, crackers, jerky, sweets, and other items makes it hard to walk out with only what you came in for. Another thing I love is the cheap fountain drinks. When you're traveling and making several stops along the way, it's nice being able to grab a big drink without paying ridiculous prices. Of course, the bathrooms are another huge plus. They were clean and well maintained, which is something Buc-ee's has built its reputation on and one of the reasons it makes such a good road trip stop. Plenty of gas pumps, clean facilities, good food, tons of snacks, quick service, and just about anything you could need while traveling. Buc-ee's is more than a gas stop for us. It's usually part of the road trip. We'll definitely continue stopping whenever there's one along our route.

After looking around, we saw a few models at Sutherlin that we wanted to test drive and called to make an appointment. We both absolutely hate car shopping and put it off for as long as possible. The day finally came, and we made it to Sutherlin and were greeted at the door by Rob Huppman. He asked all the important questions and took us around to the models we wanted to see. He gave us all the great information and details about each model. We test drove two different models and decided that we liked the Impreza Sport over the Crosstrek. What I loved about Rob is that there was almost zero pressure, even after we all came back inside and started "negotiating." We were able to get the price we wanted for the car and for our trade-in. We dealt with Andy to finalize all the paperwork and finances. All in all, it took around 3 hours from start to finish. We came back the next day with our payment and to pick up our new Subie. We were in and out under 30 minutes. We cannot recommend Sutherlin enough. Everyone we dealt with here was awesome and most importantly, they were 100 percent transparent with us, which is rare these days in the car industry.

I walked in the next morning to check up on the service and they said, oh we were just about to call you. The problem with the vehicle was a computer reset had to be done to the transmission which should have only taken a few minutes. The cost for service was only about 100 bucks and the labor was another 100 bucks. I find it hard to believe their service staff makes 100 an hour so it obvious they are marking up labor charges as well. Total time of repair was 1 hour. So why did they have my vehicle the entire day? So now they want to open up the transmission to check things out. I called a transmission shop and they said to have the error codes reset AND flush the transmission . The other shop said this is common practice to reset and flush which was not done. I did consider taking the vehicle back to Duncan but I dont fell the proper diagnostic was done in the first place.
