    Ciroc punch ($12)

One of the best ole' head spots I've been too! Everyone here is real cool. From the bartenders, the kitchen staff and even the patrons. Everybody is there with the same intentions... to have a good, drama-free time. Went with a friend and she loved it! People were so friendly and the men, were actual old school gentlemen as soon as we entered a few offered up their seats at the bar (mainly cause the guy wanted my friends number...lol). We ordered food from the kitchen. My whiting was good, the fries were meh. My friend got the chicken fingers, which she liked, but the mac&cheese was terrible... But for bar food, it was inexpensive and helped soak up the alcohol! The bartender made Ciroc punches ($12) and they were sooooo strong we had to cut them with seltzer water! I definitely want to come back and check out the line dancing one day...

Food was horrible and $22 crab legs look like they had been sitting for day extra small and taste bad.

I'm going to check them out one day. I'm grateful I finally made "one day" happen. I received the weekly email reminder that The Larry Price Quintet was scheduled to perform. I read the bio and really liked that Larry Price had his students accompanying him. The Venue: Intimate and cozy with a fantastic sound system. The Cuisine: Asian fusion with healthy portions that are huge on flavor! What We Njoyed: Deep Fried Wonton Strips - w/sweet and spicy Asian dipping sauce. 5/5 Suyun's Famous Shrimp Fried Rice (mild and medium) the medium has jalapeño heat and it definitely has a little kick. 5/5 Jamey's Special Wild Caught Rock Shrimp Tempura w/garlic chili aioli, broccoli florets and jasmine rice. 5/5 Lemon Drop Martini and Mitchell & Mitchell Cabernet Sauvignon Everything was delicious and I'm not sure what they season their broccoli with but ummmm yummy! The Performance: Superb.... Standing ovation!! As Jamey mentioned when he introduced Larry Price, "He's been around the world more times than Santa Claus"! Mr. Price certainly has Santa Claus energy and magic on the saxophone. He has to be an extraordinary educator as well since the 4 young men that made up the whole of the quintet sounded as if they have been playing for decades. I wish all of them much success in their future endeavors! The Staff: We were greeted by Jamey when we walked in. The gentleman working the bar, the lovely waitress that single handedly worked the entire venue and the Chef's were all delightful and a major part of why I'll return. If you enjoy live music, great food, great people and a cozy lounge atmosphere, treat yourself to a show at Jamey's House of Music. It's tucked away in a residential neighborhood. When I walked in it felt comfortable. The vibe was your family friendly neighborhood locals. I sat at the bar to place my order. I like the friendly relaxed vibe, pool tables a live Dj on a Tuesday evening was a nice touch. I ORDERD THE FRIES WHITING PLATTER My sides were Mac n cheese and string beans. I also order 2 single whole Fried wings and a side of sweet potatoes. The fish was crispy not salty nice portion. The flavor was good not salty or greasy or over cooked very pleasant to the taste buds! I like it very much The yams had a lot of nutmeg, it overpowered the actual sweet potatoe taste if you like that.. The string beans, Mac and wings were good I paid $42.00 for the platter 2 wings a side of sweets and 2 drinks. My money went a long way here. I really enjoyed the food. This is a must try !!! You won't be disappointed. You might actually find your self back a second time because it's just that kind of vibe!!!

I told her early in the night that I was driving so I wanted one drink only. And as the night went on, people kept asking to buy me drinks and she said nope, she's driving, no drinks for her! I love a girls girl!! Now on to this good ol southern cooking. LAWD HAVE MERCY! I felt like I was in my nana Alabama kitchen all over again. That whiting was finger-licking good. It was fried just right and the flavor was perfect. Them collards?! I couldn't even wait to get home to eat them with my bra off. They were DELICIOUS. That baked Mac n cheese was old skool with no extra bs in it. The pull was perfect and the consistency was on point. I will DEFINITELY be back... more times than I'd like to admit lmfao. My husband liked a beer and would've gotten a second one, but the waitress never made it back to us at that point. I, of course, came to a brewery and ordered their apple cider margarita. There was a lot of ice. Too much ice. Not much drink. Didn't hurt that much because the drink was just ok. My kids crushed the pretzel. It was huge and my one kid discovered a love of cheese along with it. My spouse got the Cuban, which is a little dry, but pretty in line with Cuban expectations. I thoroughly enjoyed the pickle burger with double patties, enough meat that I also shared bit of it with the kids. My kid dipped the patty in the pretzel cheese. My spouse had read that it took a while for food to come out, but it came out pretty speedy for us. We also ordered the crab dip, but it came out at the same time as our main course so we didn't eat much. Taking that sucker home. Besides the pretzel, the variety of spaces here are the main highlight. Again, disclaimer being this is coming from someone who didn't come to a brewery to drink beer.

Curses-- I forgot to take pictures yet again! I'll grab them next time, i swear…read more I've been passing B Que's on my to the Lansdowne Deli from Dan's Corner Tavern for about a year now, but I recently started going and, just, WOW! First things first: B Que's is MUCH larger inside than it appears from outside. There are 2 rooms: to the left is a room with 3 pool tables (APL league teams shoot out of here on Thursdays, at least), the entrance leads right to a long bar staffed by at least 2 fast and good bartenders. There are tables all around the main room, which is divided from the pool room by low walls and beaded light strings. The atmosphere is comfortable and warm (as in friendly and low-lighting, not temperature) The music was great. It's a jukebox, but the bar serves an older crowd so it's a little more laid back and let's relax than some of the other bars in the circuit. Thursday nights are Karaoke, which was pretty painfully funny. There is an old white guy who comes in every week and messily, ridiculously, slaughters the Temptations (i think it was My Girl) and Sam Cooke's Cupid every week. The Karaoke lady was pretty darn funny and they offered 2 separate $25 prizes for singers (the guy who won really killed Michael Jackson and left him bleeding in the gutter-- he won for the sheer and dominating awfulness of his performance). Before 7 pm you can get 2 for 1 on apparently all drinks, though i only grabbed lagers (2 lagers for $3.50 is a beautiful thing, lemme tell ya'). After that, my lagers were $4, but they did have specials on other selections. They sell bottles of water for $1. Almost everyone there was doing their own thing with their own groups, but bad Karaoke makes for cross-friend-group communication and just about everyone there was pretty friendly. Almost everyone-- there was this miserable old man sitting at a table in the exact center of the bar (by the "doorway" between the two rooms). He was all by himself all night, I didn't see him say a word to anyone, never even saw a crack of a smile. Turns out, he's the owner. By the way, they ring up your drinks by actually SCANNING the barcodes on the bottles. This man is not playing around with his bar. If you shoot pool, you'll probably really like it here. If you like karaoke, you'll love it here on Thursdays. If you just want a relaxing place to have some cheap drinks and listen to some chill music-- BQs is the spot for you.
