This is my favorite bar! Can't believe I've never reviewed it before. It's better during the week than on the weekend. I'm not sure why. But super chill spot, great food, people are friendly. It's a great neighborhood spot with a full parking lot. It can get crowded and or noisy on Friday and Saturday nights but usually it's not hard to find a spot at the bar or a table in the back. Worth popping in!

FRANKLIN'S Healthy size of a cheesesteak, solid roll, great onions, and tons and tons of cheese! So much cheese I'm not sure how the meat truly tasted, but it was delicious. Will definitely be going back for another Cooper sharp adventure!

Great bar with a juke box and darts! Plenty of TVs and a nice selection of beers and ciders. The food was delicious too, we had chicken cheesesteak egg rolls, mussels in the white sauce, steak quesadillas, crab fries, and wings. Nothing was greasy, didn't feel super heavy either. I'll skip on the wings in the future though.

Everything was awesome I love this place the barback is so handsome but some girl started yelling at the cool manager because she walked out on her tab I was so scared but the awesome manager handled the situation best food ever!!! Love the bar !!!

Met a co-worker for some drinks and food later in the evening and was able to watch the Phillies lose and also catch a football game as well. I believe there was a mini basketball game inside. 2 bars, several TV's and a full bar and menu. Staff was friendly and helpful with menu selections. Prices were reasonable and the drinks were pretty strong. Nice lil bar that wasn't packed or rowdy and had a nice mixed crowd. Ordered bourbon wings and traditional wings (they were 50 cents that day minimum of 6) and they were pretty good. My co-worker ordered chicken tenders and fries and wow the tenders looked huge and she said they were good. Definitely a place I'll come back to.

Different Cheesesteak #898. Guest Eater Jon O'Connell. This is a good bar cheesesteak. It comes with cooper sharp cheese. Very Cheesey Cheesesteak. Meat was easy to eat and covered in cheese. Guest Eater Jon pointed out that cooper sharper is a bit salty. This was better than, 'I'm at the bar and need something to soak up the alcohol' cheesesteak. Bonus cheesesteak spring roll video.

Trio Fries - garlic aioli, cheese, siracha ketchup

This was my second visit to Franklin's, but my first time ordering food and first time staying more than 30 minutes. I just went this past Friday evening after work. This isn't my normal go to vibe, but I was with friends celebrating. There was a mixed crowd and I even saw some families with small children (I wouldn't bring my kids on a Friday night but hey). It is loud in here with the music playing nonstop & you can get the app to cue up some songs yourself. I cued 1 song. On to service- this part did not sit well with any of us. We were hungry and obviously tired from work. We were sitting for a good 10-15 minutes and no one came to take orders. So, we stopped one woman and she said she'd get a server. Time passes, no server. We see a man waiting on a table next to us so we stop him. He says oh sorry we only have 1 server and she's doing a big party so you have to come order from the bar. First, that would've been nice to know from the start as he came by our empty table several times to serve those NEXT to us. You see our table is empty with not even a drink. Why would we come to sit at a table? ‍ and the "large party" was not a large party & actually some of our other co workers. Anyway, I got up and went to the other side of the bar to at least get menus because he wouldn't even bring that. That was the worst part because when you're hungry, you're hungry. We ordered at the bar and food came out slowly. FOOD: we had loaded tots, seafood Mac, trio fries, and cheesesteak eggrolls. I tried it all because of course I have to review it! Loaded tots were good for the most part. There was little sour cream which left a lot of the tots just dry and burnt on the edge. So, we got more sauce. The seafood Mac was quite good. The shrimp were fresh and jumbo! I'd def order that next time just for myself. The cheesesteak eggs rolls are something you can't go wrong on (I think) & they didn't disappoint. I was full but forced all of them down haha! The trio fries... the fries were good, it blew me with the sauces. I love garlic aioli & that was NOT it or they used a really cheap recipe/toss up, I don't know. The other, I dare not even comment as it was horrible. Just order extra cheese sauce okay. That's the only one we ate. The other sauces are so bad haha. Drinks: I ordered two drinks, Malibu Bay Breeze & Bacardi Punch. They were good for me. I'm not a major drinker at all so those two drinks punched me because I was hungry and a light weight ‍. Friday nights are karaoke nights so we got to listen to some interesting folks and it made us forget about the earlier shenanigans as we were now fed and had drinks. Haha. Overall, while i can't understand why they'd have one server on a Friday night, after that part it was well with my soul (besides those nasty sauces). Tip: have more servers on a Friday! & just serve the cheese sauce unless you're going to upgrade the others for the trio fries. I'll be back I'm sure.

Short rib grilled cheese, tomato soup and tater tots

I came here to celebrate my friend's birthday and in the midst of all of our bar hopping we ended up stumbling upon Franklins and what a great stumble it was! We really enjoyed ourselves. Franklins is a nice size bar that offers good food, chilled atmosphere and great music for those who are in their late 20's and 30's When we arrived it was somewhat a good amount of people there. Its basically a large space with TV's that all had sports on. They also had a dj that played some good music it was definitely on and poppin lol! Our waitress was very friendly, my friend ordered a vodka and pineapple juice and since I love drinks with coconut I asked if she could make something with coconut in it and she told me she'll whip something special up and that she did. My drink was delicious it reminded me of the islands! The food was also good and it came out hot! I ordered the short rib grilled cheese, tomato soup and tater tots. I have to say that grilled cheese was one of the best sandwiches I had. The bread was crispy and buttery, the meat was flavorful and it was ooey gooey cheesy, it literally got better with each bite. The tator tots was crispy with the right amount of seasoning and my soup was just good. My friend also thought her food was good as well. Overall in the words of Guy Fieri I was definitely on the road to flavortown at Franklins. I will definitely come back to enjoy their good food, music and atmosphere and you should too!

And despite fearing for my life driving through the "alleys" this city considers roads I made it. So I came here for a happy hour with some of the girls last Friday around 6 or so. The place was reasonably empty so it was easy for us to grab a table. The bartender was nice and pretty quick. Only downside was there was no real drink specials, there was 50 cent off all drinks I believe and some kind of mango wheat beer that a few of the girls tried and weren't fans of. Considering it was National Tequila Day, I would have hoped they would of have something on special. I ended up ordering a strong bow cider and the pretzel crusted chicken fingers and tater tots. It was delicious ! The chicken fingers were actually REAL chicken. Not frozen sticks that someone just threw on a tray. Thank you Thank you Thank you for that! Thanks for the tots as well, it was a nice change for the drab fries that always come when you have the typical, sandwich, chicken finger order. I'd make the trek again and you should too!

I'll say this place has some killer happy hour specials. Discounted cheesesteaks and wings on certain nights. Food came out hot and was tasty. Great accompaniment to the draft beer selection they had.

I visited for lunch during Restaurant Week, which I enjoyed because of its close proximity to the corporate hub in Center City where I work and for its solid menu. I was seated quickly at a high-top for my noon reservation. The restaurant is much larger inside than it looks, split in half with the left providing an upscale bar aesthetic while the right presents a quieter, modern lounge feel. (It seemed like service staff was directing those with previously-booked OpenTable RSVPs to the lounge side.) Service was great, as my waitress continuously checked in during my meal even as more customers arrived throughout the lunch period. I appreciated being offered to add fries on my burger order, as Village Whiskey didn't have it automatically added on the RW menu. The only drawback was she forgot to ask how I wanted my burger cooked, but it came out medium rare which is the way I eat it regardless. I trust that's how they default, which is a good sign. The Food Breakdown: Deviled Eggs (4/5) - Classic, solid, and a good starter. I honestly selected it since the other appetizer options didn't really appeal to me, but nothing spectacular or negative about it. Four comes with each order. All-American Burger (5/5) - Fantastic. I'm not a pickle enjoyer, but the acidity just blended into each juicy bite. The jam had a slight kick, and you can taste the fattiness within the double Wagyu smash patties. High-quality all around and a solid portion size. Duck Fat Fries (4/5) - They were well-seasoned, and each order comes with a small side of ketchup. Granted I didn't ask, but I almost wish they offered a spicy mayo instead because it would complement the crunchiness better. Overall, the food quality and taste were superb. My only caveat was the price, knowing that $35 after tax and gratuity for lunch (without an additional drink) is costly. I wouldn't be able to come everyday, but it certainly has my vote for sharing with others the destination that has an immaculate burger.

Since it was happy hour, we ordered all of the $6 Snacks and some $8 snack items. OOOK, here we go: Hot chicken slider( you only get 1 folks) very good and had the right amount of toppings 5/5 Pulled pork slider: Very flavorful, juicy, and tender: 5/5 Caesar salad: 5/5 Deviled eggs. Good, but too salty Fried pickles: Good, but too salty Chicken & Andouille Gumbo: This was excellent. The braised chicken thighs were seasoned well and very tender. The pickled red onions really elevated this dish. 5/5 The grilled salmon had a great char and crunch. It was not dry nor over cooked. 5/5 The burger was delicious just as a burger should be and the famous duck fat fries were very crunchy. 5/5 for both Happy hour is really the time to go, but make sure they honor your reservation.
