I have been here twice with my shaddy man. He is a very reactive puppy & a pitty at that so he scares people. The first time, he was not even a year yet and had a uti.. no other vet in the area knew what was wrong and I spent $300+ for them to tell me he only had worms. He indeed at worms but also a UTI, they assumed he was too young. The gentleman who owns the building helped us and he was amazing. Loved him. This second time was today.. his butt was swollen, and I called.. spoke with Jessica. She was great, second time I called and spoke with Sam.. she was so reassuring on the phone and in person. we came in and we're assisted by Jessica, Lily, & Abby & Sam who walked us back with our dog, well all of them did lol. Omg y'all, the service there is outstanding. Jessica was a little frightened at first but they allowed us to accompany our dog while they helped him. (We are not allowed to go back there) but they saw that he preferred us with him. Jessica even helped us out and referred us to a trainer. I don't think I will take my dog anywhere else. Shadow really appreciates it & so do we.

We switched to Crabapple Knoll several years ago and while they are a bit of a drive since we are in Marietta, they are worth the drive. I originally got to know this practice through a rescue where I was a foster and the care they provided my severely injured fosters was no nothing short of amazing. They provide that same loving care to my pets. One of my dogs, Soda a King Charles Cavalier, had congestive heart failure. Unfortunately, he passed away the other day but he managed to live an additional three + years after his initial diagnosis from them. Our hearts are shattered but I take comfort in knowing that they provided the best care he could have gotten anywhere. I think we've seen just about every vet there and they have all been so incredibly thorough and kind. The front desk staff is also always amazing and professional. We will continue to use them and highly recommend them to anyone looking for exemplary vet care. Like I said, we drive out of our way because I can't imagine trusting another team more than Crabapple Knoll.

Alright here goes my crazy…read more I strongly discourage anyone from sending their dog to Ruff House. Based on my recent experience, I do not believe they have their clients' pets' best interests at heart. Yesterday, I took my one-year-old dog to Ruff House for daycare. Unfortunately, I made a mistake and told my husband the wrong pickup time. I mistakenly thought they closed at 7:00 PM because another daycare we use has those hours. Ruff House closes at 6:00 PM. When my husband arrived at 6:15 PM, the facility was completely empty--there were no employees, no vehicles, and no one available to assist us. I spoke with the manager, Ann, the following day about the situation. The conversation began pleasantly but quickly became dismissive and confrontational. Rather than addressing my concerns, she attempted to tell me things about my dog that I know are not accurate. She also openly shifted blame onto individual employees, mentioning them by name and attributing the situation to their mistakes. During our discussion, Ann confirmed that Ruff House does not have an after-hours emergency contact number and has no plans to establish one. This was particularly concerning given that they are responsible for caring for other people's beloved pets. While I fully acknowledge that the initial pickup issue was my mistake, I was surprised that no one attempted to contact me by phone, text, or email to verify whether we were coming. I live only seven minutes from the facility and could have been there immediately. What concerned me even more was learning that boarded dogs are left unattended overnight for approximately 13 hours. According to our conversation, all employees leave at 6:00 PM, and no one returns before 7:00 AM. I understand that facilities may not be staffed 24/7, but 13 consecutive hours without on-site supervision seems excessive. When I worked at a dog daycare in college, staff remained with the animals until 9:00 PM, and morning staff arrived as early as 5:30 AM to care for them. To make matters worse, my dog was fed without my authorization or prior communication. Since returning home, he has experienced vomiting and diarrhea. After this experience, I contacted several other local dog daycare facilities, including Puppy Haven, to ask how they handle situations involving late pickups and overnight care. Their policies place a much stronger emphasis on communication with pet owners and ensuring the safety and well-being of the animals in their care. While everyone makes mistakes--including me--the way this situation was handled left me deeply disappointed and concerned. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Ruff House. **As of today, there is no business by this name with an active business license with the State of Georgia according to the Secretary of State's website. Thankfully, he was staying at Puppy Haven. The staff noticed right away that something wasn't right. They called me immediately, stayed calm, explained what they were seeing, and reassured me that they were taking action. They quickly transported him to a local urgent care vet they knew and trusted (who was also amazing). What really blew me away was what happened next. An employee stayed with him at the vet to hear the diagnosis, learned that he needed to be transferred to an emergency hospital for surgery, and then personally took him there as well. Since then, they've checked in multiple times to see how he's doing. It was honestly a pretty awful situation, but Puppy Haven made it so much better. Their attentiveness, compassion, and willingness to go above and beyond for one of their dogs is something I'll never forget. We are incredibly grateful and thankful to have a place where we can leave our pups and truly not have to worry. If you're looking for a daycare or boarding facility that genuinely cares about your dogs, Puppy Haven is it.

She can also have an extra half pill every 8-12 hrs if anxious during the day. Cover well with the turkey and give. If she is still anxious, call her vet to increase dose. When I picked her up on Sept 9, I was told that she wouldn't be allowed to come back to the kennel as she "wasn't a good fit". She was extremely anxious to the point that she was shaking and had to be hand fed. Unfortunately, when I arrived back home and counted the trazadone, I saw that no extra doses had been given, just the bedtime dose. The pill bottle itself even said give extra if needed. My instructions also said "If she is still anxious, call her vet". When I called Countryside, I was told "We never call vets". The problem is, I wasn't called either and my dog was allowed to be extremely anxious when she could have been medicated. I would like to know why my dog was allowed to be so scared when Countryside had extra medication to give her and failed to let the vet or me know that she needed an increased dose. Countryside suggested I get a home caretaker. My dog won't let anyone in her house. She's be very abused prior to our rescue. I've been working with a trainer to help. My truck broke down and had to be repaired in Maryland so we were a week late getting back. I knew the food would run out so I called and spoke to the manager. My dog was on a special diet. I told the manager to go to Hamby Road Animal Hospital to get more food and have them call me for my credit card. No one followed through and when we got back my dog had lost two pounds because she wasn't getting enough to eat. It was very noticeable when I picked her up. Then Covid started and the lobby shut down. There were less employees too so for years now I've never seen the dogs outside like I used to. Plus our dog seemed hoarse the second to last time she was boarded there which struck us as odd. Last March 2023, I had to have surgery. We boarded our dog for only two nights. When she was picked up, not only was she hoarse again but she had to poop 3 times in a row. So we surmised she was put in her room and ignored. She would only bark if she need to go out or wanted her play and walk times I was paying for. Our dog was so well house broken that she held her poop and barked to be taken out so much she got hoarse. We decided that she would never go there again. She is dead now from cancer but the two trips we made last year before she got sick, we took her with us. We decided not to use this place anymore.
