JCPenny portraits at Vally Mall, Hagerstowm,MD. Infant/baby session…read more It was a very bad experience! Melody was running late our 11:15 am session started 11:54 am. She difinalty took longer with the couple before us. She then rushed through our session we were done in 6min! There was obvious discrimination and made me feel less. While packing up at the end of our session, she manged to hit my kid in the head when she throw a toy at him! After all that, she disnt mange to capture any of my kids smiles and laughter, all the pictures looked awful! I only came to JCPenny portriats to recreate my own 6 montg picture taken at JCPenny 32 ywars ago. It was a beautiful memory for my family and her unprofessionalism ruined it for us. I ended up paying $143 for about 10 pictures i could have taken better opens with my phone.

My family and I just had our family portraits taken at this JCP Portraits Studios, and I have to…read morefirst of say, "thank you to the staff, Ashley and Tim." It was a busy day, and there was a family that came in that weren't happy with the service and created a bit of a scene, and Ashley was super professional and willing to accommodate them. Although, it was just the two of them and Tim was in training they did the best that they could with such a limited staff. I really felt bad for Ashley because, I could tell that she's a great photographer, but she just needed extra help (from an experienced team member) to either assist with incoming clients so that she could train the new staff member, or someone train him so that she can assist the clients. Either way, one experienced team member cannot do it all by themselves, train a new employee and help clients. I know that she wanted to make sure everyone had a good experience, and she took it to heart when the family before us expressed their displeasure with her. I will say, the young man that help us, I believe his nam was Tim. He did an "ok" job. I can tell he was very new, and lacked confidence in himself. I think with more training and just time, he'll be fine. He actually took really nice photos of my family. Overall, I'm happy with the service, the value of the package prices, and my photo selections. I will say, JC Penny has to do better in providing their teams with adequate staffing so that the staff is not overwhelmed, overworked, and can feel proud of the photos that their producing. Also, this will ensure that clients feel that they have an experienced photographer assisting them. Anyway, I know that working in a retail role, even the portrait department can be challenging, and I want to acknowledge this team for doing their jobs, being considerate, respectful, and professional, and helping my family have a nice experience!
