I really enjoy the gift stores and seeing what they have on sale when I visit Cracker Barrels. For those who've never been to one, it's essentially an American chain that focuses on southern foods. I usually go there for breakfast, but recently checked out their promotional dinner. Their dinner for two special started at $19.99. Ordered the meat loaf which was soft, not dry, thought it was pretty good. Comes with two sides so I got a mashed potato with green beans. I really enjoyed their biscuits too. They weren't flakey or dry and went well with the mashed potato gravy. I also got to try their carrot cake for dessert. It was a little too sweet for my taste buds. Service was a little slow, but the restaurant typically gets packed and busy for breakfast and dinner. Also, it's very noisy which seems to be the typical trend at all the Cracker Barrel's I've been to. Definitely recommend people going and checking out this location though! read more

OK! We waited 6+ months, as stated in our previous review. As previous stated we have eaten at Cracker Barrels literally a lot over the last 20 years, and many ## times at this location. So we know what they were able to deliver in the past. Since 2020 it has been a steady decline in food prep quality, coupled with menus changes. Our last visit May 16th at around 2:30pm was as follows: * Sizable crowd of customers. * Quickly seated pretty much as, and where we wanted. * MARY-ANN our waitress was fantastic a 10/10 all around, with a smile and sweet personality to match. * Our Ice tea's came out quickly, and like requested. * Our 2x Country Fried Steak, mashed potatoes with Brown Gravy, Broccoli and a chicken dumpling sides, order was taken and on the table in about 10 mins. * NOTE: Cracker Barrel NO LONGER provides Worcestershire sauce, nor sells it. * Country Fried Steaks were very good, with real steak texture like meat). * The double cooked Broccoli was very good. * The mashed potatoes with brown gravy was a 1/10 toss out rating. The mashed potatoes & gravy were both thick as bread dough and not warm. * My Chicken and Dumpling side was basically lukewarm soup with 2 small pieces of dough in it, and NO chicken. "Crispy" chicken meal was cooked well over an hour before serving and sat in a bin and was overcooked, tough and not at all crispy. I couldn't eat it -- was so tough and not pleasing to my need for crispy texture. Why didn't I just go across the street to ChickFilA ? The servers are GREAT. So even though I left a lot of food in my plate, I dropped a $20 to the server and gave her some encouragement. Traveling from the west coast, needed a comfort meal so I ordered the veggie plate (first time there AND trying a couple things in my 47 yrs so that was cool) plus the $5 add on meal...all was pretty yummy! I love the old time candy selection and the cutesy knick knacks in the country store when you first walk in. The host was on top of it today. They were very busy but we didn't wait long. My favorite thing is when the have the fireplace on and I get to sit next to it. I love the atmosphere it provides. The seasonal items are usually very good. Third time coming in an I ordered the pancake tacos w/ side of grits & apples. Let me just say the SERVICE was night and day from our previous visit, our server was friendly, attentive and even apologized on behalf of the server for our last experience.. get this, it was only her second week serving here! She was fantastic and we greatly appreciated her. Now back to those pancake tacos.. I was a little hesitant bought thought why not try something new. Man were these yummy!! This place is not what it used to be at all. Very disappointing. The food is terrible, the service is lousy, the menu shrank. People I've spoken with about this place say none of their favorite items are on the menu anymore. The prices for what they decide to bring to you and the service that you don't get anymore has made us choose to visit many of the other restaurants in the area and there are a plethora to choose from. We can always count on our local Cracker Barrel for some good food. Service is not always up to par but they were busy when we went on Sunday. The atmosphere is always good. We did get charged twice the last visit and asked to speak with the manager before leaving, who said one charge should fall off. It didn't, so had to go back the next day to get it corrected. Spent 315 dollars on the ham family feast. Never again. First blaring problem.. the two pies that I paid for were not in with my order. Called to be told "we're out of pies". But I paid for my food on the 16th... I was told all I could do would be to come there in person To talk to the manager since it kept hanging up on me when she transferred me over to the managers line. Obviously if I spent 40 dollars on delivery, simply popping over to Cracker Barrel wasn't an option. Misses the whole point of "sleep in, let us take care for you". The glaze for the ham was busted open and all of it had leaked into the box. The green beans were not like Cracker Barrel green beans.. which I usually love. Getting refills was a challenge and our orders weren't quite accurate (asked for strawberry jelly with biscuits, but never received). Instead of taking our food order when she finally brings the drinks she leaves. We waited on a waitress, she finally comes back out to take our order. We waited a long time and it was not busy at all. All of our food did not come out. We had to wait on the rest of our food. When my wife's soup came out it was chicken and dumplings and not soup. We asked if this was the soup of the day? The waitress said it was just chicken and dumplings and that she actually did not know what the soup of the day was. The Cod was amazingly delicious! The waitress was very efficient, pleasant and helpful, Miracle, did a great job. My Lemon Pepper Trout wasn't perfect as usual, I had to send it back and try the Cod. My mate had ordered it and let me taste his. So, I knew what to order. The waitress brought the change quickly. I missed our favorite waitress, Michelle, that is no longer with us, unfortunately. She will be sadly missed. I love Crackers Barrel Old Country Restaurant, it's my very favorite! I love the food, love the service, the old fashioned decor and really love being able to shop, as well as dine at a good home style dining experience. Best described as a hot mess. Just trying to get to the hostess stand was difficult. Looked like the store exploded, so much stuff EVERYWHERE you could hardly move without bumping into something. Surprised the fire Marshall hasn't had a word about this. No way could somebody in a wheelchair navigate this place. Once seated even our server seemed out of sorts. Sugar for my coffee came in a bowl ? And we had to repeatedly ask for biscuits we finally got a few but not what we should have received for a table of four adults. Since I always order the same thing, I can easily tell when something is not going right in the kitchen and apparently on this day the "chef " stayed home. Portions were very small and the chicken and dumplings were totally over salted, plus instead of the usually generous 3 small chicken tenders you now get to hunt for the meat. The hashbrown casserole was undercooked. I hate making a fuss while dining but I doubt I will return anytime soon read more

I went to Cracker Barrel and ordered some of their meatloaf. It came with corn and mashed potatoes. I have to say I was a little bit disappointed. One thing that was missing was gravy on both the meatloaf and the mashed potatoes. The meatloaf was pretty bland. The mashed potatoes tasted like they are two days old. And of course ,no gravy. And the floor was filthy. It looked like it hadn't been swept in 3 days. The bathrooms are pretty nasty too. read more

We have always enjoyed Cracker Barrel whether it was for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The country food reminds me of what my grandma would make and it's so hearty and delicious. The downside is everyone loves Cracker Barrel and the wait time can be very long, but you can roam around the store while you wait. I love their catering options they have and we have used them on more than one occasion. I have served Easter brunch and catered pancakes, French toast and biscuits. I've also catered water lunch with the ham and all the sides, it even came with cute little bunny salt and pepper shakers. Catering made it very easy for me by reheating the sides and popping the ham in the oven in the morning. I have catered a family Sunday dinner and we enjoyed the meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans and macaroni and cheese. The catering option with Cracker Barrel is great because it allows me time to enjoy my extended family and not be completely tired from cooking an entire meal for 20+ on my own. read more

This review is mainly about the employees. Let me just start this review off with a compliment to all of the younger staff here, y'all are absolutely killing it, some of the older staff aren't so bad either but some of the front older staff, including the 2 named "Cathy" & "Faye".... Let me just say I've watched Food Delivery drivers be delayed to their negligence, "Your order is coming right up" is often their response meanwhile the younger staff takes initiative & checks in the back. I've watched Faye & Cathy take 3 minutes (I timed it) wrapping up ONE of several pieces of a customer's purchase while a delivery driver is waiting for them to turn around & hand them the order that they were supposed to deliver. I've been coming here a few times a week. The service would be much better if the older staff didn't talk so much mess to the younger staff & complained about what happened to their day the night before. Patrons show up to Cracker Barrel to have some great breakfast, service & be in an welcoming environment. I'm going to stop coming here for a few months & come back to see if there's been any improvements. I can reassure you that this Cracker Barrel location has potential to fill up every morning if the reviews were 4-5 stars & service was on par. It's right by the major freeway & there's plenty of travelers from other states that travel through 20 Fwy. I highly recommend everyone recommending a good friend who works in service with great work ethic, great manners, knows how to control their emotions & day to day to apply here. So, we have visited this location many times the food is good, the service is good but unfortunately everything is so slow. Now don't think I don't like Cracker Barrel I actually do I just think it is slower than it needs to be. Now for this most recent visit we ordered online for curbside service and called as instructed online and according to the sign. We called three times before I finally walked in and picked up my order. Don't get discouraged I'm not telling you don't order from here, I'm saying that they are extremely busy adjusting to the new ways things are operating currently. Just make sure that after you call once just head inside and pick up the order. So, I ordered the chicken fried steak, green beans, steak fries, mashed potatoes and gravy. So it was great it hit the spot and was exactly what I was looking for. So, when you are thinking about going to this location be prepared for a bit of waiting but the food and service are good I've never had a bad meal or bad service at this Cracker Barrel. I'm extremely picky about service, I worked in a restaurant for several years and a bad server will ruine everything regardless of how good the food is. I always love this little Cracker Barrel. Everyone is always friendly and you get your food super fast! They started something new called campfire, where their specials were meals were campfire centric. I got the beef meal that comes with potatoes and carrots in foil. I also got a s'mores coffee. It looked more fancy than it tasted but it was still cool! I liked what there intent of the campfire specials was. Service: fast/good Price: cheap Parking: there's a parking lot. I've never been to Cracker Barrel so I didn't know what to expect. This place has tons of parking and seating inside. I didn't walk around the store part because my family and I were hungry and wanted to eat. We were greeted promptly and seated within 5 minutes (party of 9). I took my 22 month old grandson and we walked around. He was amazed at the things on the wall (deer head, stuffed bass, and other things from the Wild West) The food was great! I had the fried chicken platter that had 4 pieces which was more than enough. The Mac & Cheese was my favorite! We had the fried okra, fried liver and steak. Everything we got was really good and the price was reasonable. Our highlight however, was our sever Chad! He had a great personality and was very diligent in ensuring our orders were done right and brought it to us ASAP. He chatted with us and talked a bit about Agusta and the other surrounding cities. I don't think I've ever had a bad meal at Cracker Barrel. They are always consistent with their meals. Especially breakfast! We went for lunch and nothing caught my eye. So I ordered the sunrise which you get bacon and ham (I got all bacon), 2 eggs (scrambled for me), grits, biscuit and gravy, hashbrown, and fried apples. My mom got the same thing and my friend got the blueberry pancakes. Food came out in less than 15 minutes, which came out hot and had great taste. I was really loving the biscuits and hashbrowns. We came here after church on Sunday a week before Christmas and boy was it busy. Everyone and grandma was ready for Sunday lunch and it took about 15-30 minutes for us to be seated. Once we were seated, we were immediately served and our orders were swiftly taken. The food was great and the service, just excellent.
