    Southern Fried Chicken

First of all, the service was great, so this review doesn't really reflect that part. The food however was sub par and had no wow factor for me. I'd probably still come back to give other menu items a try though. I always enjoy seeing all the knick knacks, candies and different products in their gift shop when I come into a CB, and this location is no different, having plenty of gifts and souvenirs to choose from. The staff is very welcoming, and we were greeted with smiles and small talk. The restaurant is clean and decorated with old Southern memorabilia. Our server Rebeka was friendly and attentive throughout our dinner, so that was a plus. But this particular night the food just didn't do it for me. Here's what we ordered: -Southern Fried Chicken: The chicken was breaded but it just wasn't crispy enough for me. I got this with green beans, mac & cheese and buttermilk biscuits as my sides. The green beans were okay, the mac & cheese was bland, and the biscuits were probably the best part of the whole dinner. They were perfectly warm and soft. I also got a side of fried okra which was breaded as well but not crispy enough. Disappointing. -Lemon Pepper Grilled Rainbow Trout: My mom ordered this with a side of okra and green beans as well. I had some of her fish and it didn't seem fresh. The taste was average and the serving was pretty small. I recently went to the CB location by River City in Jacksonville (City Station Dr.) and I had the same exact meal, but it was much tastier.

Whenever I visit a Cracker Barrel, I tend to order the same thing for breakfast, lunch or dinner, and Fried Catfish. It's just top tier, imo. My husband and son love the breakfast items. No matter the location, we always enjoy our menu.

My first time here and on a Sunday morning it was busy! The wait was not as bad though. I ordered the Grandma's Sampler with French Toast. It was pretty delicious, a tad blend though. The ambience is nice with a living room feel to it.

3 cheers for our server Ashley. * Entering this Cracker Barrel location always brings me so much joy, as I grew up going here in my younger years. * I've now moved away from town and have since developed several severe food allergies and autoimmune issues. * I normally just assume I can't eat at restaurants due to my allergies and I bring my own little travel mug of coffee and thermos of water: but Ms Ashley was able to offer me something that had no issues. She took my concerns so seriously and was so kind. * Ashley had the best spirit and was so fun. She shared her daughter has severe allergies as well and said that she'd make sure that there wouldn't be any cross contamination and I felt very well-taken care of. * Next time in you're in this little corner of Georgia, ask for Ashley at the Cracker Barrel and you won't be disappointed! She's a wonderful server with a beautiful spirit and gorgeous smile! * I hope Cracker Barrel knows what a gem they have on their hands and promote her! She deserves it!

Never had to wait at a Cracker Barrel for food, coffee, or napkins. Everything tasted okay, but service was horrible.

The kabobs were over and under cooked. It's like if they blindly chopped up pieces of beef and then cooked some OVER WELLDONE AND SOME MED RARE. The temperature preference also wasn't asked. The salad bar looked so sad. Everything there did not look fresh at all. Our server was fine her name was Kory I think. She took our order and came around a few times to check on us. I did t tell her I was unhappy with my meal because I doubt anything they brought would have been any better. Also The ambiance is that of 70's -80's decor. Everything came out hot, which I love. They have plenty of other options including chicken, seafood, and pasta to choose from. They have popular cocktails as well. The service was good. There were a good number of tables seated for dinner and it seems they only had one server, so we had a bit of a wait on service. But she was very nice and professional. The restaurant is cozy and has updated furniture and decor. The only thing I didn't like was our table was sticky, kinda weird. I'd still come back to have lunch or dinner here again!

But we were not so in love last night. The restaurant was quite empty maybe about 8-9 tables and yet I it took well over half an hour to get our food. Any other time we've been there it's been super busy and we've gotten our food in half the amount of time. We were sitting at the bar, ordered Long Island, iced tea, and two waters, I admit the waters were good smooth drinks, but the Long Island cheese were sooo much and. too strong. We said as much to the bartender and she laughed like it was kind of a joke. We literally split two drinks up to four. I do admit my salad was wonderful, but that sweet potato was pitiful! Almost 4 dollars for a .25 potato is ridiculous! Here's the lesson, you need no help on the salad. It was great. You need to really evaluate your sweet potatoes and a Long Island iced tea should be smooth.... so smooth that you order a second one not that you get a second one in the first story. And your service really needs to be service.
