My husband and I love Longhorn steakhouse. We love their fillets, we love their chicken. We love their salads. We love their soup. We love Longhorn. But we were not so in love last night. The restaurant was quite empty maybe about 8-9 tables and yet I it took well over half an hour to get our food. Any other time we've been there it's been super busy and we've gotten our food in half the amount of time. We were sitting at the bar, ordered Long Island, iced tea, and two waters, I admit the waters were good smooth drinks, but the Long Island cheese were sooo much and. too strong. We said as much to the bartender and she laughed like it was kind of a joke. We literally split two drinks up to four. I do admit my salad was wonderful, but that sweet potato was pitiful! Almost 4 dollars for a .25 potato is ridiculous! Here's the lesson, you need no help on the salad. It was great. You need to really evaluate your sweet potatoes and a Long Island iced tea should be smooth.... so smooth that you order a second one not that you get a second one in the first story. This is by far the best location I've been to in a long time. The food was done to perfection and everything tasted amazing! The food was brought out swiftly and came out HOT too. The ambiance was chill and got in just time in time before it got too crowded. Also, shotout to some of the staff that took care of us: Carlos (Manager), Tommy, Mike, and Elijah. We were one of the first few tables in the place today. Service started out great but quickly fell off. Server was super nice. It took a while for the food to come out. Soup and salad combo and a fire cracker chicken wraps. The soup was luke warm and the chicken wraps were partially frozen still. Didn't send them back bc it took so long and our server disappeared. She checked on us in passing and we had to ask for things as she moved past us. Drink stayed empty throughout the meal. Refill came right before we left. Took about 10 minutes to get boxes and the check paid out. Restaurant was clean but we probably won't be back especially if we want hot food or good service. read more

After an hour of waiting we finally got seated. By the time we sat down to order our drinks the restaurant was clearing out (people were leaving) sat at the table for 15 minutes before they even took our order. I recently visited LongHorn Steakhouse, and while I'm a fan of the chain overall, this particular location didn't quite hit the mark. The steak was just mediocre--not bad, but nothing special. Some of the food felt overly salty, and there was a bit of an off taste that I couldn't quite put my finger on. We also had an unusually slow experience with the service; things took a little longer to come out than expected, which made the visit feel a bit off. I'm willing to chalk it up to just having a rough night, though, and I'll definitely give this location another shot in the future, since we normally have great experiences at LongHorn. Probably the best LongHorn we have ever been to. Filet and salmon cooked to perfection, the salad was fresh and the baked potatoes were freshly cooked to perfection. Looka here! I don't know what was happening yesterday, Match 12, 2024, but it was all taking place at LongHorn in Kingsland. That place was so crowded. Plus we went during Golden Hour or aka Early Bird time, and the seniors were in there deep!! But you know what? It didn't compromise the food!! Now the service was a little slow, but the chef was a beast under pressure because the food was amazing! My son ordered the lamb chops and I ordered the parmesan crusted tenders. I didn't really want that because I always order my salmon, but just in case those lamb chops didn't measure up to the chops we were accustomed to having in Abu Dhabi, we needed a dish we could split. When I tell you at first bite my son's eyes rolled back in his head. He put the chop down, stared at it, and then gave a chuckle. He was impressed and relieved. I had a ask him not to eat the bone as I looked around nervously. Nah, just kidding. They were flavorful, very well seasoned and cooked to perfection. I took my mother to the LongHorn Steakhouse in Kingsland, Georgia today to celebrate her 91st birthday, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience from the moment we walked in. A young hostess saw us coming but walked away to clear glasses from a table across the room without greeting us or acknowledging us at all. We waited at the podium, and when a young waiter named Eaton came by, I told him we were waiting and mentioned that my mother is elderly and needed to sit. He snapped at me and said they were busy, then told us to "sit down," without any professionalism or courtesy. As we sat in the waiting area, the same hostess returned and seated a couple who had just arrived--again, without acknowledging us. The only reason we stayed and put up with the rudeness was because it was my mother's birthday, she really wanted a steak, and we were hungry. The food was fine, and the service was okay--nothing to talk about. The waitress never introduced herself, so I couldn't even tell you her name. At the end of the meal, I asked if they did anything for birthdays. She said, "Oh yes," and brought out a small ice cream sundae. It felt like an afterthought. Overall, I was not impressed. The experience showed poor management, a lack of basic hospitality, and very little care for customers. The atmosphere is just people dining, having a good time with family or friends. The service was excellent, attentive and fast. I had the outlaw ribeye, as did my new friend Dave. My sides were sweet potato with cinnamon sugar and butter, and a tossed salad with ranch dressing. Everything was excellent and I ate every last bite. We love this Longhorn and eat here at least once a month. My son gets the kids cheeseburger and it's huge! I usually order the Parmesan crusted chicken and it's consistently amazing. However my husband orders the ribeye and it looks completely different every time. It's never bad, just not always great. Bar war super busy and only 1 bartender so service was slow -but honestly, as fast as she can. I ordered chicken tenders and hubby got filet minion. Food was delivered quickly enough. My food was actually bigger than I ordered. (6 pieces but got more than I can count) it was great. Hubby got his filet mignon but it was too thin and over cooked (he ordered medium and got medium well) but he hated to send it back. If you charge that much for a steak it should be right. Servers shouldn't be so overloaded that they are not able to check to make sure it's right, either. Too bad his steak was off. Otherwise we would've been happy. My friends and I went to Longhorn for dinner while I was in town visiting. They mentioned that it was a chain but that they really loved the place. I had never heard of this chain before so it was all new to me! I was a little surprised to see such a low Yelp rating, so I wanted to check it out for myself. They had a large menu will all kinds of things to choose from, I think anyone would be able to find something they like. I had a Prime Rib Sandwich and Fries. OMG it was SO good! It was so delicious, one of the best meals I had the entire time I was in GA & FL on vacation. One friend ordered the Salmon and the other friend order the Baby Back Ribs...they loved their food as well. Overall, I was really happy with my entire experience and when I return to GA - I would look forward to dining here again. My husband & I ate here for lunch today (5/18/2024). The food was great ( as always) but the lack of awareness by the servers was not what I'd expect. When our server Kayla brought our drinks she dropped a straw on the floor. When I pointed it out to her she just sort of shrugged and said "that's OK". I would've thought she'd pick it up afterwards but she just walked away. When a different person brought food she too looked at the straw and walked away. For the entirety of our meal we watched several servers walk by, look down at the straw and keep going as if to say "Not my job". So they acknowledged that it was on the floor yet no one wanted to pick it up. Finally I did when our server brought our check. I slid over to the edge of the seat and picked it up while saying "here..let me get this for you". It went right over her head. We couldn't eat it as a steak, it was too tough but we didn't want to waste food. The assistant manager apologized and gave us $10 off our $70 bill. We paid the bill and tipped our waitress well as she was very nice, but told her that since our steak was ruined we didn't think the small discount was fair as we could've just send it back and have them make us another one. The GM came and since we had already paid he gave us 3-$10 coupons. Not sure if we'll return. Times are tough but unfortunately next time if there's a next time.
