Great service and adorable theming inside with a great little gift shop full of retro candy, toys, and fun homegoods. My meal was decent. The Big Easy Steak & Shrimp was a meal I had seen advertisements for and wanted to try. The shrimp was delicious and well seasoned but the steak was super chewy, overcooked, and flavorless despite swimming in a "Cajun Sauce." My baked potato and green beans were perfection, loved them! No matter where I am it seems like the people are all the same. We came here for breakfast while traveling to Albany, NY on our way to our Kiwanis special meeting. From the second you're on the porch of CB until you sit down, it's like a deja vous from one restaurant to another. Always a nice greeting when you walk in and usually seated right away. My wife and I were with friends so there were a lot of delicious meals on the table. It was a Friday and I had the delicious 'fish fry' of fried catfish and mashed potatoes and my wife had the pot roast. What's nice is their consistency from location to location and their food which always matches my level of expectation. This place never disappoints you no matter what you order. All delicious and huge portions of food. Our waiter was delightful-pleasant-helpful who was genuinely concerned that everything at our table was to our liking. First time coming to a Cracker Barrel. Love the concept! Solid comfort food stop with a fun store. Definitely worth the visit. We stopped in on a weekend afternoon and had a really nice experience overall. The place has that classic Cracker Barrel vibe. Rocking chairs out front, the country store full of nostalgic candy, quirky gifts, and way too many things I "almost" bought. Their steaks were very good. Tender and flavorful. We ordered a steak with shrimp and a steak with chicken. The food was exactly what I came here for: hearty, homestyle, and comforting. I think it really depends on which location you go to, sometimes it's a hit or miss and their menu items end up being different, recently a location we visited didn't have their cheesy potato casserole for breakfast, and the fruit topping for the pancakes wasn't warm. We came on a Friday afternoon and while we were seated in under 10 mins, the wait time for the food was closer to 30 mins. The table service was minimal and we had to intentionally flag down our waiter to request things like refills. I don't necessarily blame the wait staff since it seems this establishment's system of service/bussing is clearly not sustainable. Other reviews mention multiple nearby tables remaining vacant and unbussed for over 20 mins, and unfortunately that was our experience as well. There were only a few wait staff for the entire restaurant and they each did all the work. So that's what we all went with. Your choice of 2 sides also for $14.99? How do beat that? But seated at 2:45 and still waiting for meal at 3:30 is not good. For starters today 8/12, Ihappen to be heading across P.A via route 80 east to Long Island. Already there was a big accident on exit 19 on the 80 east that affected all but one lane. Finally my beverage arrived as well. 2:08, tne last order arrived. Completely unorganized serviced. While i get it the store does not have enough staff, a manager could have came over and apologized for the delay and the lack of service. At no point did anyone come over. I waa upset, my waitress was flustered, she was trying to engage but honestly she was the only person working on that side of the restaurant. Nobody helping her to deliver food or beverage. I went to counter to complain about the horrible service and lack of. I was told they had sick calls, so why continue to take tables when you literally have a minimum of 45 to 60 minute delay. This is my go-to spot for breakfast...IHOP and Denny's can't hold a candle to Cracker Barrel. This location is my favorite and they have great food & service! Now they have an awesome mobile app; sign up and create an account to gain reward points from each visit. Also, you can sign up to join the waitlist prior to getting to the restaurant...saves time and gives you the approximate wait time as well. This location is set up like most CB restaurants. They have rocking chairs out front, along with giant checkerboards so you can relax while you wait. Or you can go inside the country store and look around to pass the time as you wait. They have a lot of knick-knacks, some clothing items, and a lot of old-time candies. The sitting area has interesting décor and is always clean, including a nice warm fireplace on cold days. Every time I go it's for breakfast and they have an all-day breakfast menu. CB has southern food and all meal selections look good, but my choice is something from the breakfast menu that includes their delicious pancakes! The Momma's pancake breakfast with eggs and hash brown casserole on the side, it is amazing. The pancakes are amazing ... golden brown and fluffy ... just melts in your mouth! Their tiny little syrup bottles when warmed up takes it over the top. After your meal, you'll be surprised that they haven't been hit with inflation or shrink-flation...always a great value. Went there monday afternoon with two friends, one of which ended up getting held up and arrived twenty minutes late. Waitress tried to take our orders a few times and we apologized and asked if we could wait until our friend arrived to put our orders in. While being seated, I texted our friend where we were in the restaurant, and between the time stamp I sent that text and sat down to the time we were yelled at, it had barely been 20. The waitress Sophia was the most unfriendly and unhelpful waitress I have ever encountered. Rude, dismissive and whenever I asked for something her blanket comment was, "it's coming". Even for a simple napkin! I asked for my eggs to be very well done, they were runny, My friends chicken was cold. When Sophia came over to take our plates-she said you weren't hungry. Service was quick and intensive as well as very friendly, making the experience even better. Sunday, November 9, 2025, at approximately 3:30 PM. As a customer of over ten years, I have noticed a concerning decline in quality, but this visit was unacceptable. The food was virtually inedible. I received cold eggs, "cardboard" texture bacon, poor-looking grits, and fries that appeared to have been sitting in cold grease. The steak was poorly prepared--it looked pieced together and improperly cooked (grilled on the outside but not truly "well done," as requested). We waited over 30 minutes to be seated, and an additional 45-minute wait for the food to arrive. The manager I spoke with offered no explanation or apology for the significant issues, simply stating, "Thank you for letting me know." This dismissive response to a very poor dining experience was embarrassing and unacceptable. I was unable to eat the meal after a substantial wait, leaving me to reimburse my husband bc he wanted to eat elsewhere, and I said no. I owe my grandson another dinner date to make up for this. I owe a special thank you to our waitress, who was understanding and highly apologetic--she was the only positive thing. Based on this experience and the lack of corrective action by management, I will not be returning and sincerely urge Cracker Barrel to address the substantial issues in food quality and operational management at this location. Hi All! I have been visiting this location on and off for several years now. While I do not live in the area, I do enjoy visiting. I most recently visited on Saturday evening, December 7th around 6:30pm. I would like to say that everything was superb. The hostess, the staff. Everything was very clean (even the restrooms). I have been visiting many cracker barrel locations for many years and I have to say, the restrooms are not always the cleanest. Our waiter was Nick. Nick was SO attentive and probably the best service we have ever received in a Cracker Barrel. So calm, so wonderful. We even received some history about Cracker Barrel! It was the BEST experience. The food was deliciously prepared and hot. The tables were bussed on time, very quietly nearby. The employees all seemed very happy. The cashier when I went to pay was so personable, too. We just had one of the worst breakfasts that I can ever remember. It took an hour for our food to come out (eggs, sausage, and pancakes). The portions were small and the orders were incomplete, so we had to wait additional time for the waitress to bring the missing items. We asked for refills on the coffee, but didn't get them. Went for brunch today and service was horrific! It took about 10 minutes to be seated which wasn't bad at all. But it took about 10 minutes to get our waitress to order drinks. We finally got to order our meal 10 minutes after that. After we ordered our food it took 35 additional minutes to get our food. Our waitress never came back during that time to ask if we wanted coffee which was also disappointing. Once we got our food it was cooked incorrectly. It then took 15 more minutes to get 2 eggs recooked. But I did enjoy my biscuit when I was waiting for my 2 eggs to be recooked! And my husband loved the pancakes! This is the 4th time being at this location and every time our food has been incorrect or cold. I really love their food but the overall experience is very poor. In all that time I drove past probably a million Cracker Barrels but never stopped in. With the store in the entryway and the diner vibe I thought it would be fun to visit with my family. Bad choice.
