Today we went for dinner. Service was good . The server Omi was great. Food was mid. Nothing was bad but nothing worth writing home about. We ordered off the dine for 2 menu for $19.99 . It was a good deal. Our location was not the new updated version which I was glad to see. Its still old causal cou try kitchen style. I prefer thier breakfast over the dinner. But everything today was just ok.

Stayed here while traveling and ordered breakfast the next morning. The food was fresh and good and we appreciated being able to overnight there in our RV while traveling.

You can count on cracker Barrel for consistent, predictable food that's fast. There's also a lot of it with big portions and biscuits or cornbread served with every meal. I've never had bad service at this location, whether busy or not. The decor hasn't changed in years but I like the rustic vibe and the country store for browsing before or after.

Such a disappointing breakfast! Cracker Barrel used to be our go to place for breakfast, no matter where we were. We have been there for a while, but when we went today, we were extremely disappointed. The sausage patties were like hockey pucks and overcooked. Biscuits were not fluffy like they used to be ..very hard and small. There was very little sausage gravy to split between two people. The potato casserole was edible, but not what it used to be and cold. it appears they are trying to cut costs but all they're going to do is lose customers. i know we won't be going back.

"You don't understand it--my feelings for you You'd be honest with me if only you knew" (Bob Dylan) Let's be honest. We've all been to a Cracker Barrel. Right? We've all enjoyed their big menu of American comfort foods. We've all enjoyed their huge country stores with a ton of cool things. And of course, we've all enjoyed their clean and comfortable bathrooms. So, what makes one Cracker Barrel stand out from another? How about the service? We had the pleasure of meeting our server Hannah at today's lunch. What a fantastic personality! She was funny, charming, very engaging, and quite simply a joy to interact with. At the end of our lunch, we were chatting as though we were long lost childhood friends. Our lunch was $24.87 for a lunch sized meatloaf with carrots and turnip greens ($9.49), a grilled chicken salad ($11.89), and a Diet Coke ($3.49) which Hannah refilled twice. Lunch was excellent, and our experience was exponentially better for meeting and interacting with Hannah.

As Canadians, we normally take any opportunity to visit a Cracker Barrel when we are in the US. This location didn't disappoint. There were two of us and we got to the restaurant at about 6:30 on a Wednesday night. There was no line to get in and we were seated right away. We had a server who admitted she was brand new. She was wonderful to us so whoever trained her did a good job. One of us ordered the grilled catfish with macaroni and cheese and broccoli and the other ordered the cornmeal crusted catfish with hashbrowns and broccoli. The food was delicious and I wanted to give it 4 stars. However, as pescatarians, the options for meatless meals are slim. We both opted for fish, which was great but we wanted the hashbrown casserole and the green beans but were told both had meat in them. This wasn't listed on the menu so if our server wasn't so attentive we would have been more disappointed. We recognize that not eating meat puts us in the minority, and we are usually skilled at finding options to suit us, but when even the vegetables have meat in them, that's frustrating. Despite that, we had a wonderful meal.

Store at the Cracker Barrel in Rochester

We had breakfasts at Cracker Barrel while staying in Rochester. I love the country style decorations and hearty options for breakfast. Service was courteous. My only complaint is that country ham was a bit too salty, but overall - good experience. A store is an added bonus.

Pancake I slipped on and got all over my shoe. Gross !! Not mine either might I add

I've been going here for years and never had a problem. Very rare that I leave a review that isn't positive let alone leave one at all. The last two times have been terrible service and food. Not clean at all. Foot slipped on a pancake under the table along with a colored pencil. My friend's sausage wasn't cooked through so he couldn't eat it. My eggs had eggshells in them. She never came back to ask how everything was. Just said nothing at all and set the bill on the table. Also, when we first got there we were told we couldn't have lemon for our waters because they didn't have someone to cut the lemons. ‍ Not a big deal but considering the rest of the experience it was annoying. 40 min wait for a bad experience. Then the line to pay was long. I wanted to pay with cash ended up paying on my phone bc it was taking too long and I was out of patience by this point.

Cracker Barrel, whether dining in or taking out..has always been a pleasant experience. The food is by far better than any other national chain restaurant in the same category. Tonight for instance I had the meatloaf... outstanding. It really does taste homemade. My brother has the pot roast...he said the same thing in regards to his meal. He can't make it better...and he makes a mean pot roast! If there's one negative... sometimes the portions can be a bit small..but I do have an above average appetite. So take that with a grain of salt..

I love looking for something original and, after a…read moredisappointing dinner, canceled reservations for a local "speakeasy" because the vibe just wasn't there. This left a hole in the evening and a need for some music in my life. Quick Google search brought me to The Spirit Room. Walking in the door, you are blasted with pure chutzpah! If a well loved mom-and-pop pub mated with a tarot parlor, you'd get this bar. There is zero pretense in this joint and the decor is a fascinating collection of Halloween fare, human oddities, and hobbyist witchcraft. In my single evening here, I enjoyed some outstanding live jazz, had a cool tarot reading, was referred to as "the Pioneer" by a sassy tender, and enjoyed a burlesque show! Seriously. If they had a roller coaster upstairs or a full blown haunted house set up in the basement, I would not have been surprised. The drinks were outstanding (both alcohol and not). I wish I came in hungry because the cheeseburgers looked ridiculously delicious (and well priced). The staff and owner were unbelievably welcoming. Even with me coming in by myself (this is a solo trip) and being a pretty quiet dude by nature. There is a definite regulars crowd vibe here, but I don't think it would take long to become part of that crowd. These a cool folks. In the end, this place made my night (especially after a meh trip to Dinosaur BBQ). If you're an Applebee's kind of person, you'll want to keep walking by...quickly, but if you're into a jump to the left (and then step to the right), take a walk on the wild side, and enter...The Spirit Room!

Doubt many readers here will find themselves in this part of the "west side" but if you do, don't flash your jewelry, and second don't wander into this dump. I only went here cuz a groupon was advertised for it a few months ago and the (obviously) stock photo they use to entice you into buying a groupon for a restaurant made my mouth water. It didn't resemble in the slightest the crap in a styrofoam container I picked up from here. Quite possibly some of the worst soul food Ive ever had. I guess the fried chicken was passable but the rest of the food, a stray dog would turn his nose up at. Bland collard greens out of a can, a gelatinous cake of black eyed peas. WTF is up with using Tops brand american cheese to make mac and cheese? and I could sharpen my kitchen knives on that pork chop. Eww.. The grease they used to fry the chicken and pork chop was obviously older than dirt and left a charred residue, I'm still tasting it days later. How they have the nerve to peddle this slop off as soul food is beyond me. Shame on you groupon!

The welcome committee appears to consist of cleaning utensils casually staged on the stairs leading to upstairs seating--because nothing says "we're ready for guests" like a mop-and-bucket obstacle course greeting you at the door. Inside, the vibe is best described as "dimly lit and emotionally uninvested." Less atmosphere, more "we forgot this place was open today." Service takes the concept of "self-serve" to an artistic level. The bartender acknowledged us briefly--just long enough to confirm we existed--before immediately resuming whatever bar-related priorities were clearly more important than customers. Meanwhile, several people ahead of us were openly discussing their 10+ minute wait with no movement toward actually being served. After a while, it became clear we were not waiting for service so much as participating in a passive endurance experiment. Eventually, we chose the only winning move: leaving. Honestly, the most efficient part of the entire visit was the exit. I'm still not entirely sure how a place with this level of disorganization manages to stay open, but I do wish them luck--preferably while we're eating somewhere else.
