Our waitress was amazing. Our drinks were served, and within minutes our appetizers were brought to the table. Within minutes, my salad came out. Before I could finish my salad, our dinners were brought to the table. She kept our cups filled with ice cold in house brewed tea with lemon. The food was absolutely piping, hot and full of flavor. Every bite became better than the last. Definitely adding to our list of favorite places for dinner. all of their desserts are made in house. They have an extensive dessert menu of which content, various ice cream options, fresh milkshakes, fruit, pies, and they even make in-house homemade rice pudding - Yum. My boyfriend got the peanut butter pie that was very decadent rich and truly delicious. I got the tiramisu to take home and it looks like heaven. Blue Ridge Grill was amazing!!! The service (Debbie) was great. Ambiance was home-y. FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE. Some of the best breakfast food we had in a while. Corned beef hash was fire, same with crab cake omelettes I mean what the heck! So much flavor and seasoning. Pairs great with orange juice. Omelettes came with home fries or hashbrowns and pancakes or French toast. I couldn't even try my boyfriends home fries or French toast because he literally ate everything in 10 minutes. Don't be afraid to get the corned beed hash as a side because honestly, it's a true game stopper. This restaurant makes me want to go back to Rochester. Loved it! read more

I've not been here in years and will not hurry back. Stopped in on a Sunday night around 6pm, they're open until 8pm. All the booths were taken but they had plenty of tables available. We were seated right away. Tammi came over, introduced herself and took our beverage order. She brought our drinks and then she disappeared. We saw her check on other tables and not look at us. She'd come out of the kitchen, grab something and go back again - at least 3 times! I finally asked the hostess if there was an issue or if we could have another server - it had been at least 15 minutes - and it was not a good sign. A minute later Tammi comes out apologizes, takes our order and said she'd get it right in. By then the place had emptied out so our food did come out quickly. Hubby's pork loin special was good, but the mashed potatoes were dry (even with gravy). My mom's roast turkey dinner was also good but they forgot the cranberry sauce and my mom didn't realize it until she was almost done. My salmon Mediterranean was delicious but the salmon was a bit overcooked, artichokes were very dry/burnt, and the sauce had way too much asiago . And they were out of rice pudding for dessert, sigh... Lackluster meal and mediocre service. I will give it another try one day, but not anytime soon. read more

We went to the blue ridge grill on Sunday morning for breakfast and again we got lucky and got a booth. However I will say the booths don't seem to be as sturdy as they should be. And the place was starting to get really crowded and loud. But anyway the waitress who was pleasant and talkative came to the table rather quickly and took our drink & food order. We both got ice water with lemon and coffee along with our breakfast mine was eggs, toast and home fries. No complaints the food was good. read more

The restaurant has been renovated since I last visited. It has a large dining area with mostly booths with tall dividers which is nice for reducing Covid/sickness this time of year and quieter/more private eating spaces. They did have a handful of tables available. Bathrooms consist of 2 large single stall bathrooms (a men's and a women's). The service was friendly and quick, we came in right when they opened around 7am on Black Friday. The food was good and cheap amongst our group of 4. Would definitely stop in again. read more

Stopped in on a Saturday night with 4 people. We had to sit at a table that was so small It was hard to fit our dishes in. The food that we ordered was sub-par. The shrimp pasta vodka dish had no flavor and the shrimp was not cooked properly, the fish fry tasted old. The prices were not reasonable. I would not have a problem with that if the quality was good, but it was not. The bread on the table was stale. The waitress was nice. I don't plan on coming back anytime soon. read more

My wife and I had hoped to get a late breakfast after Sunday church. We arrived between 1:40 and 1:45, were escorted promptly to our choice of table, sat down and we were handed a menu by the hostess. We discovered the menus were for lunch/dinner. We asked a passing staff member if breakfast was still being served as we only had lunch/dinner menus. She told us breakfast was "pretty much finished up now". Our waitress soon arrived, introduced herself, took our drink order and returned to take our order off of the lunch menu we were given. Our food was brought in a timely manner. Our food was hot and good. Meanwhile another nearby table , which had been seated after we had ordered, were served breakfast. We finished our meal and began to leave our table at 2:20 and we observed another breakfast plate being delivered to another table. I purposefully paid our bill before expressing my dissatisfaction. The hostesses reaction was a simple "we're sorry, breakfast is served until 2" and the classical deer in the headlight stare. Here's my suggestion: ask guests if they would like a breakfast or lunch menu while still serving both. We just dropped $52 for a meal and aggravation. We won't be going back anytime soon. read more

I had breakfast alone at Blue Ridge Grill. They have improved a bit since my last visit. The environment was quiet, with about four other customers dining. However, the waitress was mostly in the kitchen and not attentive to us. I had to wait quite a while just to be able to pay. The menu offered plenty of options, including mimosas in different flavors, all at great prices. I ordered a dish that was a mix of eggs, cheese, veggies, olives, and potatoes--just one big plate of an unappealing combination. The flavor was okay and edible, but not particularly enjoyable. I would recommend this restaurant for breakfast to families or groups, mainly because of the affordable prices. Just be prepared to wait for service. read more

I've eaten at Blue Ridge Grill dozens of times and enjoy coming here for breakfast and dinner alike. I have never had a bad experience here and am always pleased with what I order. The nachos are my favorite appetizer and they offer a very large portion, perfect for leftovers. I think their breakfast menu is the standout feature for me, though. They do breakfast better than any other diner around at an affordable price. This place can get pretty busy during breakfast on the weekends but other than that, I typically don't have to wait long at all for a table. I'm honestly shocked by some of the other reviews here that are less positive - the staff has always been wonderful when I've gone as is the food! read more

I went to the restaurant about 8 times over a one and a half year period. I tried to get something different each time but I did repeat the fried chicken which was very good. However, I did get a Cajun something which I knew I should not have being that my family is from southern Louisiana, and it was horrible. It was inedible. It was not Cajun. As a recall, the management staff handled our complaint poorly and we were never able to eat the food and we just left it behind after paying our bill. As for the rest of the experiences there, I found them to be inconsistent. They just did not overwhelm or wow me. read more

Blue Ridge Grill was OUTSTANDING for my soon to 90 year old Father and I to celebrate Veteran's Day a little early! Erica, our waitress, was amazing bringing us a side of ice cream for my mother who we are visiting next at a skilled nursing facility. My father and I enjoyed the incredibly tasty "Dessert Waffles" which has a huge waffle topped with bananas, strawberries, ice cream and whipped cream! This is a breakfast thru dessert delicacy! We also had a nice visit from Stacy, our waitress last visit. And she was waiting on a table of 25 people! I love love love this place and only wish there was one in Syracuse! Cute little diner type place tucked back in a plaza--really good lunch! Excellent, friendly and helpful server!! One daughter had French onion soup, (she's a former restaurant worker) and said, "this is how it should be served"! I had the hot covered sandwich with turkey. I had hoped for fresh roasted, but it was smoked...still good, served on thick cut bread with gravy. I got sautéed spinach for my side--it came a little cool, but was still really good. The guys got the Blue Ridge smash plate, their version of the Rochester garbage plate--2 cheeseburgers served over fries, mac salad and topped with mustard, onions, and a hot meat sauce--they really enjoyed! My other daughter got the Greek chicken wrap--she says everything they have is good! Mind you--4 stars for the type of place that it is. It's a diner, not fine dining. But a good diner! Other than that, I've always had a good experience at Blue Ridge Grill. The breakfast and lunch/dinner menus are extensive, offering everything from traditional diner food like omelettes and burgers, to more upscale items like crispy tempura green beans and chicken French. There is a well stocked dessert case including pies from Special Touch Bakery, and my diner favorite, rice pudding. I usually end up here for breakfast, and the pancakes today were nice and fluffy. C was a fantastic server for our party of 7 (including 3 small kids). The service is always good here, and they must all be saints because it's a pretty loud restaurant. A little larger than a standard burger with carmelized onions, mushrooms and a garlic aioli. Lettuce and tomato are on it also. This is a flavor bomb that you'll want to have again and again. It was my first time at this restaurant, and unfortunately, it wasn't a good experience. The fork I was given was dirty, with dried food stuck on the back. We just tried them again for Mother's Day breakfast and were SO disappointed by the service I will literally never come back. We arrived right before 8 and were seated right away in the back corner booth. The servers were ALL rude, not attentive, and loudly discussing at the service station about how horrible the staffing was, how they just weren't going to answer the phone today, etc. And they were not kidding - the phone rang for over twenty minutes consecutively and NO ONE would answer it. And it was a LOUD ring. My family could literally have NO conversation the first 25 minutes of our breakfast. It took about 10 minutes before anyone even came over to our table to order drinks. And MAGICALLY, when the managers or owners arrived at 8:30, the phone was answered, the ringing stopped, the servers stopped being rude, and we actually got our order. The waitress dropped off our check before we were even half done and never came back. We wanted to order milkshakes to go and needed boxes, and had to go find the hostess at the stand to order the rest of the things we wanted.
