This place is great with a great vibe. They are pretty much a tapas place with a changing menu. Also they have themes based on holidays. They take real pride in all they do, from the themes, the service, and especially their food and cocktail. Their cocktails are top notch as well as their food. While in Augusta for four days at the Masters, we had dinner two nights and drinks at the bar on our first night with Elias, who is an excellent bartender (makes fabulous cosmos). Adrian, the manager, was wonderful, very welcoming, and so hospitable. Michael, our waiter, was great: very attentive, thoughtful and professional. We have been meaning to come here forever, and finally got a chance to. We had already eaten dinner, so came in for drinks and maybe a small snack. We waited about 5 minutes to get seated at the bar, it was pretty early still (I understand the wait can be pretty long). The bar is AWESOME. Our bartender, Alex, was just stellar. Friendly, great sense of humor, and made some mean drinks! My wife ordered the Azalea, which was delicious. I was in the mood for something a little different, and Alex made me a slightly spicy Mexcal cocktail that was mind blowing. They make their own spicy tequila here, which she put in, and I am hooked. We also had Pernod absinthe drips, which is VERY tough to find! Needless to say, the drips were done perfectly, and I'd recommend giving this a try if you've never had it (absinthe is not for everyone). We got some pork rinds to snack on while we hung out, and they were great. We saw some other folks getting food that looked amazing, so we'll be back to give it a try! I've been here twice and had a great experience both times. This last time was during Christmas and I really appreciated the work they put into decorating and creating a festive environment. It was so fun. Our waiter was great and accommodating (as he became our photographer towards the end). As for the food, The scallops are amazing, the goat cheese and jam app is amazing, the deviled eggs were really good too. I wish I had a better palette to describe the foods but I rate foods as either terrible, bad, good or amazing. Everything I've had here was amazing!! So how about the tapas!!!! So we orders the fig and prosciutto flatbed, shrimp, BLT and steak. The shrimp came first and was spicy with very well seasoned shrimp and hash...yummy! Next we shared the flatbread right out of the oven! Smoky goodness lasted on the tongue. Good suggestion Trevor! If I had to criticize anything it was the BLT....it was messy to eat and the steak needed another 60 seconds to be perfection. The best parts of these small plates are the textures are well thought out and well balanced. The mojito did NOT taste like a mojito but it was a great cocktail none the less. The food is definitely made more for sharing and the portion sizes are a little small. The pizza is not too much bigger than a personal pizza from your pie. However, the ingredients are much fresher, and the food is delicious. My friend and I ordered a goat cheese plate, sausage pizza, and duck poutine. When we placed the order, the waiter looked at the two of us and said it was too much food. He suggested we just start with the goat cheese and pizza and if we still needed it, he would put the order in for poutine. When both plates came out, we looked at the size and immediately asked for the poutine to be put in. My friend and I visited Craft & Wine for a meal before going to Riverwatch Luxury Cinemas. We chose Craft & Wine because of the proximity to the theater and its stellar reviews. My first impression of the restaurant was that it was extremely dark. The lights were dimmed and the furniture was made of dark wood. I personally did not prefer that ambiance. However, the food was delicious. I had the Meaty pizza and my friend had the deviled eggs and pretzel bites that came with a beer cheese. The pizza dough had an unique, slightly sweet taste to it which helped to balance out the saltiness of the meats. My friend enjoyed her pretzel bites but explained that the deviled eggs were a little too bland. The drink menu was riddled with drinks like Old Fashioned and other cocktails that included whiskey. I chose not to get a drink because I'm more interested in fruity drinks which I did not see on the menu at first - after we paid the bill our waiter told us he could have created a special drink for us if he had known. I may have to revisit to take him up on that offer. read more

One of my favorite places to hang out for drinks, apps, and to socialize. It's tough to get a table if your party is more than 4 people. They use a queue when the restaurant opens so this is definitely not a place you plan to go to last minute as the wait will be super long by 5:30pm since there are no reservations in advance. They do have a great selection of drinks and small plates. Drinks are fun and tasty but also pricey and warning: you don't get to keep the souvenir cups. Food is awesome and sold in small platter so I usually get 2 'entrees' if I'm eating dinner. I don't mind that actually because I get to try 2 different things or share with others and they have a revolving menu. I recommend you get the scallops if they have them! I usually get steak or shrimp entree too. They're pizzas are ah-mazing and usually have unique topping combinations; also grilled in a real wood burning oven. No, seriously...you can watch it from the bar...or see it on the way to the bathroom. I love when they have themed events as the place is decked out, everyone is dressed up, and they'll have specials to go with the themes! We just had a great experience here. We arrived at 5pm and were promptly seated. By the time we left the place was packed with a line out the door. We had a charcuterie appetizer. The cheese pizza was also not good - very dry, plain, like where was the ricotta? So disappointing. Two in the group got meals that I guess we're good but we were very disappointed in both the board and the pizza and my friend asked for a glass of Cabernet and the waiter said their were three prices and she said she would take the middle price. Now granted she should've asked what that was but still she was charged $38 for that glass of wine. Ridiculous. This restaurant is very beautiful and top notch and it was absolutely worth coming here. I was unsure about if they were opened or not due to the COVID but eventually I took the plunge and headed right in. The young woman who worked there really helped me when I had questions about the restaurant and where to go. I settled on trying a dessert and a drink during happy hour and I loved it! The Blue berry Lemon Pound Cake I ordered was absolutely delightful and the Honeysuckle cocktail was just as wonderful. The bartender whose name was Calvin really took care of me and made sure that everything was golden. Overall, a very wonderful experience coming here and I have no regrets. Next time I'll be sure to try the dessert cocktail Espressioni and The Dark Chocolate Tart. I highly recommend especially if you're looking for a romantic spot to try. :) read more

Ok! This place is really top notch! I can't express how blown away I am by the customer service! Although my initial overall dining experience on 3/12/20 was rated 4 stars, my take out left much to be desired, which is why it was not 5 stars. However, the restaurant quickly saw my review on Yelp and responded and on top of that, the same amazing, accommodating and super friendly manager-Amanda Foss- called me, apologized profusely and invited me back. Tonight on 3/14/20, I was greeted by the host who immediately knew who I was and she went to get the manager, Amanda. Amanda provided me with a complimentary beverage while I waited on two free pizzas instead of one! This is what I call a phenomenal customer experience! And... on top of that, the two pizzas were perfectly cooked and delicious and the Moscow Mule was one of the best I've ever had. I don't live in Augusta but if I did, Craft & Vine would be a restaurant that I would frequent constantly. Great place to eat for a date or with family and friends. Dress was casual and dressy. Food was fantastic. We had the deviled eggs, which each were topped with a jalapeño ring and chunk of bacon, fried oysters, mussels and a charcuterie board. (Wish I took pictures.) Went at 7 pm on a Friday night, and the place got more crowded and louder as our dinner went on, but you could still talk without having to raise your voice. They change their menu seasonally, so do not get attached to anything you see posted as it will likely not be there unless it was posted super recently. This was our mistake, I went in knowing exactly what I wanted to find none of it was on the menu. We tried the bread pudding and though the flavor was there it was not like a traditional pudding, it was like crispy bread pudding with a dip. Not horrible but certainly not what we were expecting. Craft & Vine is the place for cocktails in the CSRA! A unique experience is the Chambong which is a special champagne glass created for the purpose to chug champagne. They offer a brut and a rosé to Chambong - it's such a fun experience!Shareable appetizers and the BEST pizza ever make this a great spot for the weekend. Perfect date night and GNO spot. They go all out for themed nights by decorating, dressing in costume and creating special menus. Past themes include Mardi Gras, Caddyshack, Summer Camp, Romance in French Quarter, Christmas themes, Carnival, Havana Nights. I also love that they have a late night Happy Hour in addition to regular Happy Hour. I will say one aspect that prevents getting full 5 stars is that they recently got rid of their waitlist and now seating is first come first serve. This is pretty frustrating since waitlists were always long in the past - especially on themed nights. Once we were on the list for 4 hours and still didn't make it to the top (we ate at a different restaurant by hour 2). To start the atmosphere and the wait staff are great. The good: We had an hour wait, but they had small cocktail tables we were able to order drinks and apps from. The drinks were ok, nothing memorable. The bad: Our goat cheese dip wasn't very good. The hostess forgot about us on the list and we were sat after several other couples who put in for tables after us. We were sat at the bar, which stung after the issue with our seating. We ordered our entrees right away, but my wife's food came out ten minutes before mine. She ordered the scallops, and it was a very small plate for being $18. The scallops were good, but the prosciutto didn't work and the carrot purée had baby food vibes. I ordered the strip. Portion size was fine, but I didn't care for the strip. It was on the rarer side of medium rare and they drowned it in a bland gravy sauce that detracted from the beef. The potatoes were lackluster. $100 later and famished. I've stopped thru here over the years when I am in town and can't believe I never wrote a review. Sadly this visit was not pleasant at all. I am not certain if there is assigned seating at the bar. However one of the five hostesses "escorted" me to a seat at the bar all the way at the end. I guess okay but very rude. The two stars on the review is based on the happy hour Old Fashion was made with pure perfection. It was so yummy I ordered a second one. And this is where it goes totally left. So the bartender makes other drinks, chat a bit with other co-workers then gets totally lost in making some small paper thing. In the meantime I'm finishing up the tasty warm brussels sprout salad, I was going to order more food. But I started to get so irritated that her paper project was so much more important than the guest. So when she finally turned around her response was "I got so distracted" as if her job is not to customer service. At that point I just asked for my check to pay and leave. When the bar only has 4 patrons and 2 bartenders you don't expect this level of service. Now I refuse to pull a race card in this however I've noticed as downtown grows its as if the brown dollar is an invisible dollar. I would rather spend my money at places that "see" me. read more
