Visiting from Texas, wanted a nice place to eat close by. Walked in we didn't have a reservation so we had to either eat at bar or outside patio. Although I don't like to eat outside we went ahead and did, so glad we did. The ambiance was very nice, wait staff were super polite! I didn't get pictures we were super hungry lol. In a word: spectacular. Our mid-size Central Illinois community isn't exactly brimming with fine food options and my husband and I have spent years looking for a great steak place. Up until tonight our carnivore taste buds and co-appreciation for flavorful entrees has been left wanting. And we are both very, very, happy. We started with crab cakes: they were served at just the right temp, flakey, with just the right amount of sauce. Next up: Spring mix garden salads chilled to perfection and tossed with creamy Ranch and Blue cheese; toppings of fresh mushroom, croutons, onions, and tomatoes. And, then, the entrees: Herb-crusted Pork Chop (double cut) with garlic mashed potatoes; Prime Filet, Canadian Lobster Tail, and Parmesan Risotto. Sigh. We miss their exquisite flavor already. Both meats were seared to perfection, juicy, and good to the last bite. If we'd been home we would have licked our plates. My filet was spot-on medium-rare and came with a dollop of Béarnaise sauce--which I love, so that was a special treat. We all but licked those plates, and while both were sufficiently full, we ordered dessert. How could we not based on all that had come before! Chocolate Ganache Sundae and Fruit Crisp ala mode. Yep. We ate all of that too. Every bit of our Craft experience rates 5+ stars. Ambiance. Decor. Waitstaff. Background music that did not compete with the increasing number of guests sitting down to enjoy their own dining experience. We will be back! Came in for one cocktail while waiting for my pizza to bake next door. When you enter, you'll be greeted and asked if you have a reservation. I did not. Thankfully, I was dressed up a little but wish I would have been dressed much nicer. Classy place with exquisite décor and impeccable staff. Ok, so first I have been there twice, but only to the bar. The menu looks amazing and I will try it sometime and then review it, Now, for the bar. This is a bar that I would go to in Chicago, New York, LA...etc, but without those prices! It is higher priced than other bars in Galesburg but in my opinion very worth it. The bartender is experienced and will talk Whiskey, or in my case Gin with you. He not only made a great martini but was doing a good job teaching other staff to make drinks. We stopped in after a reccomendation and long travel. We were sat in the back corner of the restaurant I'm not sure if it's because we were in travel clothes had children with us or if all the other tables were booked already. We ordered appetizers and when they came I was surprised how small they were. The mussels were delicious however had only 6-7 in the dish. The waiter probably should have recommended more options. Needless to say they were delicious. Calamari not so much. We ordered bread and asked for more then one order as we were hungry. My ribeye steak was not prepared to my liking and lacked flavor so I ordered the bone marrow butter to assist me, mushroom rissoto was just ok My husband enjoyed his carbonara. I was not a fan and chocked it up to he was just hungry.I wanted grilled chicken for my son which he said was ok. I'm all for paying alacart however i expect the food to be exceptional. When we got the bill I was surprised of how they decided to charge for my sons kids meal. On top of charging us for each order of bread. Before leaving I over heard another server explaining the specials to her table. I would have liked to hear them. Again maybe it was our travel clothes or they weren't prepared for a walk in. While the steak melted in my mouth and the crab dip was delicious, it couldn't make up for the fact that it took over 45 minutes for our food to start arriving from the kitchen. With a group of 14 diners, we were served our plates 2-3 at a time over the course of an additional 50 minutes. Some received an entree which they were able to finish before receiving their side dish. Another in our group received a side dish and waited over 30 minutes for her entree to arrive, which was as several of us were leaving, having already finished our meals. My own side dish (smoked gouda grits) arrived along with my entree, but the side dish was only room temperature. Since there was an obvious problem in getting food out, I didn't mention it. Service is spectacularly poor. I definitely expect more for the prices associated with the items on the menu, all priced ala carte. read more

Everything about my recent dining experience here was impressive. The interior design and decor is so elegant and well thought out. You enter into the bar/lounge area set up conversation groupings of chairs and couches near a cozy gas fireplace. The backroom is the main dining room with dim but not too dark lighting from beautiful chandeliers. There is an expensive wine menu with a lot of very impressive offerings although we stuck to the craft cocktails they are named for. The drinks we tried were well mixed and creative and nicely strong! Our server was attentive and polished and food came out relatively quickly. I had the scallops while my dining partner had the sea bass. Both were cooked perfectly and the sea bass had a crab creole sauce had just a hint of heat that was delish. My shiitake risotto had fresh slices of mushrooms in it and was so decadent. After dinner, we took advantage of the lounge and had an additional drink in two of the cutest little chairs in front of the fireplace. It was a stellar evening and I truly wish I lived closer so I could work my way through the menu! read more

What a wonderful and elegant restaurant in downtown Galesburg that can hold its own just fine, thank you, with any fine dining venue in Chicago or other large cities. My party included a person with a disability and every single staffer was incredibly kind to her, holding doors, seating us immediately although we had no reservation, and thanking us for coming. And the food was delicious--my crab bisque had just the right overtone of tarragon and came with a yummy toasted half sliced baguette, and our waiter was nice enough to bring me extra white anchovies for the Caesar salad. AND staff get even more points for making sure to keep our water glasses filled. The tables are not too close together and the ambience quiet and elegant. Had a wonderful dinner and after dinner cocktails on Friday, 11/26/21 for some Friendsgiving celebration. We made a reservation and our table was ready when we arrived. Chris our server was wonderful and let us leisurely enjoy their fabulous craft cocktails, made by the talented Chris the bartender, before ordering our meal. It was nice not to feel rushed. All our our food - from appetizers, soup, salad, chicken, and steaks were delicious. We also enjoyed pumpkin cheese cake and a some black chocolate cake for dessert. The service at this restaurant is absolutely horrible. Took 2 hrs to get our food. People were literally getting up and walking out. If your short handed then be smart about it and only seat the amount of people you can serve properly. That's how you run a good restaurant. Having people wait for their dinner so long they start to walk out will doom you. If the owners don't fix this, and the issues they have in the kitchen, this place will just be a topic of " remember that place " conversation. read more
