It was a dark stormy night in the city of Nampa.....we were desperate to find somewhere we could not only drown our school starting sorrows in a glass of gin but also enjoy the ambiance of a cushioned bar stool or booth.....we googled "Drinks near me".....nothing but dingy bars and fast food restaurants. Our hearts sank. How will we survive living in Nampa with nowhere to go but Boise for a good hangout spot??? Suddenly we heard laughter and the soft melody of piano music........we followed it with hope in our eyes and desire on our guts....And then there she was in all her hidden away glory....Craft Lounge.....she was brilliant. Dimly lit enough to hide your stress tears of the upcoming semester but lively enough to make you forget the reason you were sad in the first place....drinks??? Sublime. Food??? Exceptional. Live pianist and company??? Unmatched. We left satisfied and content as if the sky had opened up, the rain had stopped, and God himself had shone a brilliant light upon a truly hidden gem. Love this cool bar in the heart of Nampa! I wish they would expand their menu but it was pretty tasty. This venue would be perfect for a pianist to entertain the guest. They have a stage and area seating for a single musician. Love the classy dress attire of the bar keeps and waitress! Horrible service. Got a couple drinks, decided to get more and the waiter seemed very confused by this order and then we paid and they tried to say we didn't pay on our way out the bar and waitress is yelling at us. That was the most insane thing. Take a look at your table first. Their drinks are not strong at all. I had two Pineapple Express and they tasted like sugary drinks with nothing. I won't be going back and they try to make it a speak easy but it's so frustrating and annoying. They don't know how to do a speak easy in Idaho. read more

Used to recommend the place quite a lot but it seems over the past year and a half it has become a victim of its own success and lost the speak easy vibe and personal touch in favor of expanding. When first I started come here it was the type of dark-room speak easy where bartenders put heart and story into making drinks, it was my pick for best mixed drinks in Idaho. Now I can't get a drink in front of me within 25 minutes of sitting down. Last time here I was there over 2 hours only getting 2 rounds, and me and my girlfriend got our drinks 15 mins apart from each other after ordering at the same time. One of our favorite drinks, milk punch, had completely changed from previous years which was a major disappointment. I wish this was just a bad experience amongst a lot of great memories but this has turned into the norm lately, we stopped coming here for a before dinner mixer as the long wait for our drinks has resulting us having to slam 20$+ rounds in seconds flat followed by cornering a staff member to pay so we can leave to make our reservation upstairs after showing up 45 minutes early. I can't say it's cause the staff are inattentive, it seems like everyone is constantly moving, but just seems it got too big to maintain its original excellence without scaling up the backend. The drinks are still good, but it's way to bright and open to call a "speakeasy" style bar anymore. read more

This speak easy is very unique because of its ease of access! These places are notoriously difficult to get into and usually require a reservation or some kind of "appointment" date and must be planned in advance...but not the Craft Lounge!! You can easily get in on a whim and the ambiance is awesome! Tried a number of drink options too and there wasn't anything we didn't enjoy! Very cool, hip lounge/bar under Brick 29 restaurant. High end craft cocktails. I ordered a Manhattan, and it was delicious. When I was ready for a second, the bar tender asked if I would like it smoked. I said sure. He then put some cherry wood shavings into a machine, and pumped the smoke into a glass chamber. He placed my drink in the chamber and let it set for a few minutes. Awesome. Great mild smoke flavor. Very cool place. You can order food from a limited, but good menu from Brick 29. I have a bacon cheeseburger, and it was great. This is my new hangout! read more

So much fun!! We have been talking about getting in to check this place out for months. Finally I had a bunch of family come in to town and it gave me the excuse I needed! Everything with this place is stellar. The service at the bar to the table service is incredible. The drinks take a few minutes to be made but these aren't your typical Applebee's bar drinks. These are hand crafted pieces of art that require a bit of work and patience. While you're sitting at the table awaiting your masterpiece there is plenty of fun stuff around on the walls to keep the conversations moving. They bring the table some popcorn just in case you're starving.... in our case they brought out some "vegan bacon seasoned popcorn"..... it's pretty gross.. It tasted like a mouthful of liquid smoke. But it's the thought that counts right? Haha. So the drinks... yeah they rule. They make everything from scratch and it's wonderful. From the bitters to the ginger beer... Yumm! Prices are fair... (actually they're really low for the quality of drinks) but we won't say anything to them about that. The family from out of town was totally surprised and crazy impressed. Score 1 for Nampa!! We like to make a "dinner" out of the varied appetizers, entrees, sandwiches, salads and soups, while enjoying the best cocktails ever known. The wait staff is awesome and pleasing to talk with; experiment with their recommendations for cocktails. We like them all but try the Boarding Pass and the Huckleberry Lemon Drop and you won't be disappointed. The decor have awesome nuances to enjoy. This has become one of my favorite places to go for a drink. They're creative and it's just a comfortable place to knock back a few. My suggestion is this-----stay away from your regular whiskey and Coke or Gin and Tonic and just tell them what you like and ask them to suggest something. They're happy to do it and you might be surprised to really enjoy a drink you've never heard of before. Waitstaff and bartenders are great and the interior itself is plush and welcoming. They also make many of their own mixes and other goodies like the ginger beer used in their Mule and the bitters for their drinks. I also suggest the giant fresh made pretzel, it is really amazing and great with the drinks. And if you're a whiskey/Scotch fan, definitely try the Smoke and Bitters. read more

I absolutely love that it's a speakeasy with a dark vibe and some of the best bartenders I have ever had the pleasure of ordering drinks from. Great place to have a drink with a friend when sharing a good app. My husband and I spent $45 for 2 drinks and a app. Our Friends spend $70 with 4 drinks and a app. So please know you might spend a little when ur going.
