After a fair share of birthday parties over the years, I can honestly say the two ladies that covered today (Peggy Planet and Letti Lightyear) were incredible. These women did not stop working for a minute since we arrived and managed to keep roughly 16 6 years and a handful of younger siblings enthralled and engaged for 90 minutes straight before lunch. They did more than a handful of experiments including dry ice (creating smoke which was fun), making slime, and they used acetone to melt objects and many other experiments that proved to be both educational and entertaining. The team also took charge of getting the kids food and drink and kept reiterating that they were there to help (and clean up) not us. My daughter loved it and I am sold on doing other events and classes at Mad Science just to experience this level of professionalism again. Huge shout out to them!

When you enter there's a spot to place your shoes which is like a shoe display area which is a bit different and kind of cool. You have to check in at the front desk before they unlock the gate to allow you in. There's a bathroom to your left then another bathroom located on the other side of the under 18 month play area. They have a lot are rideable cars for the kids. The set up is pretty cool too it's like a large tree house. There's also a water area, a make believe grocery store and the 18 month and younger play area. Something for all the kids up to age 6. The back right is the area where they serve food which is equiped with a soda machine. My friend told me all the food was cateredby twinkle. Pizza and pasta was good. Wings were ok. Fruit platter was good especially for the kids and the fries were soggy but my 1 year old didn't mind. The cake was chocolate and vanilla. I had the chocolate which was really moist and not too sweet. Party experience here was really great and it was from 5 to 8 so it was nice we had the entire area to ourselves.

My kids were 0-6 and they loved it. The location is clean, well organized and the staff are very friendly. All guests must leave their shoes in the front and also their strollers. They have a couple of seats around for those who want to sit, but not many. There is a small upstairs area next to the entrance with more tables and chairs for anyone who wants to sit or eat a snack. Not sure if they provide free water for all guests or if it's just for birthdays, but they have water bottles and also sell snacks in the front desk & also they have a small section to buy toys. The area is spacious and kids can do many activities. I recommend this place for birthdays or play dates.

Back then, they had dolphins, beluga whales and it was so cool (but also pretty sad, now as an adult thinking back). Today, the aquarium is pretty underwhelming. It's definitely a lot smaller than what I remembered, and there seemed to be a lot of empty exhibits (as of May 2026). The coolest new addition was probably the shark exhibit, which is a tunnel tank, so you'll see sharks swimming above you. We got there right after it had opened at 10, so not too many people were there yet. By the time we finished the sea lion show (started at 11), it was starting to get crowded. Luckily after that, we only had one more exhibit to visit + the gift shop, so we quickly finished up and got out of there. Parking is $18 for up to 3 hours but I heard there may be street parking nearby, if you're lucky. I did get free tickets, but I would have been mad if I had to pay $32.95 per person for this. I would say to go if you can get discounted tickets somehow but if not, I don't think it's worth it, and you're better off just spending the day at the boardwalk.
