Came here for a birthday party for 3/4 year olds. If you're not familiar with the area this area has a lot of restaurants and night life so it's a bit odd for a kids play yard. When you enter there's a spot to place your shoes which is like a shoe display area which is a bit different and kind of cool. You have to check in at the front desk before they unlock the gate to allow you in. There's a bathroom to your left then another bathroom located on the other side of the under 18 month play area. They have a lot are rideable cars for the kids. The set up is pretty cool too it's like a large tree house. There's also a water area, a make believe grocery store and the 18 month and younger play area. Something for all the kids up to age 6. The back right is the area where they serve food which is equiped with a soda machine. My friend told me all the food was cateredby twinkle. Pizza and pasta was good. Wings were ok. Fruit platter was good especially for the kids and the fries were soggy but my 1 year old didn't mind. The cake was chocolate and vanilla. I had the chocolate which was really moist and not too sweet. Party experience here was really great and it was from 5 to 8 so it was nice we had the entire area to ourselves. read more

I have been to Twinkle Playspace many times. I have gone as a guest to birthday parties, I've celebrated my daughter's birthday there, and I have also been to some of their holiday/special events. My kids were 0-6 and they loved it. The location is clean, well organized and the staff are very friendly. All guests must leave their shoes in the front and also their strollers. They have a couple of seats around for those who want to sit, but not many. There is a small upstairs area next to the entrance with more tables and chairs for anyone who wants to sit or eat a snack. Not sure if they provide free water for all guests or if it's just for birthdays, but they have water bottles and also sell snacks in the front desk & also they have a small section to buy toys. The area is spacious and kids can do many activities. I recommend this place for birthdays or play dates. read more

I hosted my daughter's 5th birthday party at Twinkle and had an awesome time! This was the best and most stress-free party I had thrown and the kids loved the space so much they asked to return the next day. Pros: - So easy to book a party and confirm all the details. The 2 packages are all explained on https://www.twinkleplayspace.com/birthdays and we went with the Basic Package. My questions were always answered promptly and they sent plenty of reminders. I love that Twinkle handles almost everything - decor, balloons, and goodie bags. We handled only the playlist and cake. We brought our birthday cake and got the $20 cake-cutting fee waived by bringing our own plates & forks. Twinkle staff cut and served it to all the adults. - The playspace is the best in the city IMO - the designer created this 110% for kids and didn't spare any detail. Slides, fire truck, grocery store, beauty parlor, bakery, pet store, treehouse, spaceship, water play area, cozy coupe cars, and much more. There is something for everyone. Our party was 2 hours long but wish we had 30 more minutes to fully enjoy everything. - Each child got a personal pizza in individual boxes, juice, water, a birthday cupcake, and a goodie bag. I rarely leave reviews, but my visit to "Twinkle Play Space"-type venue today was rough enough that I feel like I should warn other parents what to expect.The space looks cute online, but in person it felt really worn down. Several of the play structures looked like they hadn't been cleaned properly--sticky surfaces, scattered crumbs, and toys that seemed like they hadn't been wiped since who knows when. For a place meant for kids, that's pretty unacceptable.The staff also didn't seem very engaged. When I asked about where to store shoes and jackets, I got a half-hearted point toward the corner. No greeting, no explanation of the space, nothing. At one point, two staff members were chatting loudly behind the counter instead of monitoring the play area, even though a couple kids were clearly getting too rough.Crowd control was another issue. The space was overpacked to the point where kids were bumping into each other constantly. It didn't feel safe, and it definitely didn't feel relaxing for parents Overall, the whole visit felt chaotic and poorly maintained. For the price they charge, I expected way better. I left after less than an hour and probably won't be returning. What a dope spot. Much bigger than I thought. It's essentially a giant indoor playground with so many different things for your toddler to do. Whether they are wandering off climbing, going down slides, riding cars, or just petting stuffed animals or shopping at the grocery. It's a bit chaotic in there but it's expected. Staff are pretty hands off as they control the front of the check in/out room. They should keep their sanitation stations up to date. Many sanitizing stations were empty or broken. read more

We visited this space on MLK Monday and the experience can only described as HORRIBLE. AND FROM THE OWNER'S REVIEW you can tell she encourages her staff's behaviors. AVOID AVOID, it's only a matter of time until an accident happens there. 1) A female senior staff who appeared to be the manager, first stopped people from getting in at the gate because capacity issue (understandable), but then multiple people witnessed that she let her own kids and husband go in, whom she claimed had reserved the spots up front, and then offensively yelled at clients who tried to get in by insulting them saying "well how about you PAY for tickets first?" Then she called the cops on an African American lady and her young boy to threaten them to leave. Ironically, having investigated the situation (since the problem was really the capacity and ppl started leaving), the cops ordered this female staff to let the woman and her kid go in. The manager was so mad about it. 2) The staff were ordered by the same manager to chase ppl around making sure everyone can have 1 adult 1 kid only. BUT NONE OF THEM were paying any attention to the safety of the children. One kid managed to bring a balance bike to the second floor and threw it down the slide and hit another kid on the head all without any staff interference. And no staff showed up after the balance bike incident either (and I was right there). 3) The ticket allowed 3pm to 5pm but at 4:55pm, everyone was kicked out by the staff all at once and it was extremely chaotic. The staff had no concerns over the fact that they were handling toddlers and babies, and one staff was trying to reach over a child and grab sharp heavy objects behind him - the things he grabbed almost hit the kid's head. The mother screamed in fear and anger. No apologies or acknowledgement from the staff not even another glance at the child and mother in shock. In short, this place doesn't know how to handle large crowd (I heard that they rarely get a big crowd) and the staff had received zero training in customer service and child safety. $35 for two hours in Brooklyn isn't cheap, you can find better alternatives. Twinkle is an amazing place! My 4 year old daughter loves this place. She loves the pretend grocery store, dress up princess salon, pretend tea parlor and pet place. We love coming whenever we can even though we live in Manhattan. It is close to public transport and my nanny also takes my child there via the subway. Twinkle now has a new water table with a brand new mechanical kinetic ball wall. We went last week and my daughter spent the whole afternoon just at that exhibit. She never wants to leave. Here's the thing. If you are a parent, and have organized a kids birthday party, you know that it is no easy feat. There are approximately a 100 things you need to put together (if you have an obsessive need to throw the best party, like me). Your work is never ending. You just never have a chance to sit back and enjoy it yourself because there are a 100 things that need to be addressed during the party - did all the kids get a juice box? Did a kid just fall down and hurt himself? Did all the kids get a favor bag? I've been to plenty of diy kids birthday parties where parents do the bare minimum because it's just too overwhelming. I don't blame the parents, obviously. The kids don't really care, they just want to run around with their friends. Enter Twinkle Playspace. I found this place on a Yelp search. It was the first, highest rated, non-sponsored result that showed up. A quick dive into the reviews and website made me think this might just be the place. A quick visit to the space made me put down the security deposit because it was just too good to be true. The Playspace is basically the promised land as far as the kids and parents are concerned. There is a fire station that allows kids to dress up on firefighters outfits, spray real water at a fire mural, a supermarket, a bakery, a kennel with cute stuffed toy pets, a salon, a spaceship pod and many more things I can list but I think it's better you just check them out yourself. It's all super safe and padded up everywhere so no kid can get hurt. The birthday package takes care of EVERYTHING. The food for like 12 kids which includes a mini pizza, a cupcake, a juice box and unlimited water. For the parents, you can order additional food like pizza and wings which is what we got. There are many options on their menu. No outside food or drinks allowed. They also take care of the favor bags. The table arrangement with balloons is handled by the staff. I didn't have to worry about a single thing. I honestly just wanted to give the staff a big hug because it was such a stress free event and the party was a hit with the kids and the parents. I will warn you this - the party had a 2 hour hard limit and getting everyone out was a challenge because none of the kids wanted to leave. The parents had to literally drag them out kicking and screaming because they were having too much of a good time. It was hilarious and sad to watch, because if that isn't a sign of a good party, I don't know what is. I mean, the party could have gone on all day and they still wouldn't have wanted to leave. Listen, this is more money than most parents would like to or can afford to spend on a kids birthday. Trust me, I second guessed this decision many times. But when the birthday is in October, when the weather could go either way, and you don't want to be bogged down by the stress of hosting, this is the next best thing. Its a cute kinda pricey indoor space within williamsburg/greenpoint area. Adults can play with the kids however it is very tight in most spots. So if your claustrophobic (like me) this isn't suitable for you. My daughter had a great time but there was a little kid who kept picking on my child and the nanny dismissed it even after approaching her several time. I think age groups should have their time when to play if they are goinng to be rude and push younger kids out the way. I dont think next time i'll be so polite. Twinkle is such a cute place and provides and even supercute environment for children ages 6 and under to play in, create in and explore, etc. We came here today for a friend's daughter's 1st Birthday Party and was so surprised to see this awesome space! You name it, Twinkle has it and the children (and also the parents-lol) seemed to enjoy themselves during the party session. Staff were there to greet us at the front desk when we first walked into Twinkle. There is a section to hang your coats. Twinkle enforces a "sock only zone" policy in the playspace, so there is a separate area to put your shoes once you remove them from your feet. Since this was a private party, every guest placed their gift they purchased in the "gift bin" and then proceeded to go into the play area where you have the pleasure of meeting Twinkle's pet bunny named Cassie...she is adorable! Twinkle....let me just repeat that this space is supercute! All of the children got to play in various sections which included "The General Store (Grocery Store) Area, the "Fire Truck" Area, "Fort Tree" Area, "Hardhat Zone" "The Princess Salon", etc. They even have a section called "Young McDonald's Farm" which is for children ages 18 months and younger to play in...there are multiple slides, things to climb on and so many cool interactive activites!! There is small 2nd Floor section called "The Lounge" for the parents which is where we had food to eat while the children ate pizza in children's space. Twinkle has various party packages to choose from and the birthday girls' parents selected the "Princess and Knight's" theme. The girls wore tiaras, they each got a tutu to wear and all had magic wands while the boys wore knight headpieces, etc. The children enjoyed birthday cupcakes...Yes, I got to taste one and it was really good! At the end of the party, each child got to take home a birthday party bag! All in all, it is a nice place to throw a children's party and also to take a child or children where they can play and have a great time! Staff informed me that it is $25 to bring one child to enjoy the playspace during normal business hours....this is key since it is wintertime and parents need places to take their kids where they can play indoors! read more

Took my daughter to celebrate her Kindergarten classmate's birthday and both the boys and the girls had a ball. This sock only venue had so many things to explore which truly bedazzled the children during their 2-hour party. If necessary, parents are allowed to follow their kids anywhere in the playspace so good luck crawling through those tiny places. Overall, the place looks appealing and well kept, the staff was friendly and we were amused by the additional presence of a face painter and Disney Princess guest during the pizza/cake segment of the party. I'm just unsure if these were part of the venue's actual offerings. If they are, 2 thumbs up for them. Most of us trekked from Manhattan for this particular occasion while some drove. Fortunately the neighborhood is mostly residential, alternate parking rules dominated the block and we came during a Sunday late afternoon so street parking was available. We really enjoyed our time at Twinkle Playspace. Sandpit? Check. Super slides? Check. Water games? Got it. Costume play, Grocery store, Hair salon, and trampoline? No problem! Oh, and did I mention the disco ball and music on the second floor? On our visit with our 21 mos old son and 6 year old nephew they were equally entertained. Given that the place is padded from wall to wall it was easy to let them wreak havoc. For parents - this well organized chaos is made better by plenty of hooks so you can bring in your diaper bag. Shoes and coats are left at the front and there is stroller storage. The deal closer? You can bring in your coffee. There is also an area with tables so you can eat or as one zen like parent managed to do, read. If you didn't pack food you can order from a local eatery and they will deliver. Awesome! They also have two bathrooms, one has a toddler size potty and changing table, the other has a regular toilet. Parents were also generally well behaved but bear in mind that they often reach capacity by 11:30am. Adorable place! We had my godsons birthday at Twinkle Playspace this past weekend and it was great! A mix of 2-7 year olds were in attendance and it was large enough that all 10 guests could run around with parents and enjoy the space. There was a lot to do in such a small space' the establishment was clean, creative, colorful, safe, offered a wide variety for a wide array of ages and everyone had an amaZing time, kids and adults! Came here for a Princess and Knights birthday party on Saturday and loved the imagination that went into creating the facility. Different corners of the room had different themes: water theme, city scape with fire engine, kiddie grocery store, beauty salon, farm, etc. There were intricate tunnels and rope bridges that the kids went nuts for. Even a little waterbed like portion of the floor that was covered in astroturf. I liked that there were costumes and props for the kids to play with. The best was the hidden door in the magical forest that opened up into the party room. The table was elaborately set for everyone's individual mini pizzas and beverages. There is an upstairs cafeteria type area for adults to buy drinks and snacks from a vending machine. That being said, I thought this was a great place to throw a party. It was different (at least to me). I cannot comment on pricing as I was guest but I would imagine it was a pretty hefty tab. All the little girls got tiaras, wands and tutus. The boys got styrofoam swords and shields. I see from the other reviews, that the passes and admission rates are pretty highi. I would be interested in knowing how much supervision is done during 'normal' days as I could see some overly exuberant kids getting hurt. We just had our son's 2nd birthday here and we couldn't have been happier with it! I have worked at a kid's party place myself years ago and have now taken my son to countless open play sessions at various other play spaces. Twinkle is truly one of a kind! All of our guests were blown away by how unique and thought out the space was. The kids were entertained the entire time. There are so many different activities and toys- slides, things to climb, a glow in the dark dinosaur room, water activities, pretend play set ups (grocery store, pet shop, bakery, fire station), a trampoline, and so much more. The staff was super helpful in setting up everything for the party. You can select from some of their themes and they provide the decorations, but we went with our own Blues Clues theme and provided the items for the staff to set up. They quickly set everything up during the first hour while the kids played. Everything was ready in time for the second hour, when the doors open up to the private party room to eat. Each child gets a personal pizza pie, conveniently packaged in their own pizza box. As the kids eat, the staff walked around and wrote each child's name on their boxes, so they can take left overs home with them. The kids also get a juice box, water, and cupcakes. Everyone raved about how delicious the cupcakes are! For adult food we ordered pizzas, sandwiches, and chicken tenders. There were many more options to choose from. Unlimited soda and water was also included in our package. There is a soda machine in the party room so guests can help themselves. We brought our own cake (there is no freezer but we brought an ice cream cake in a cooler bag with ice packs and kept it all in their fridge- it survived!) and desserts. The staff set up our dessert table for an extra fee. They also decorated with our balloons, birthday banner, and back drop (backdrop stand available for rent). I particularly liked the fact that the play space is private during the time of the party. No outside guests are allowed in during their booked party hours. Having the entire space to ourselves was great. Twinkle truly helped make our son's birthday super special and we will remember our time spent here for years to come! Hands down, one of the best play spaces I have seen. We came here for a birthday party and after two hours here, we were still finding surprises in different nooks and crannies. There is something for everyone. There is an imitation fire truck, with costumes and water coming out of hoses. There is a little animal farm section with a real rabbit. There are ropes and ladders to climb up and around and come down through the slide. There is a trampoline in the ground. My son did not want to leave! Big indoor play space for kids. Entrance fee is a bit on the steeper end, but you get to stay for the whole day. There's a cafeteria on the 2nd floor for parents to chill and purchase snacks from their vending machines. There aren't a lot of onsite staff to over see the babies so it's up to the parents to follow their children close behind. Love the play ice cream parlor with the supermarket theme conveyer belt built inside the play space. There's a changing area for girls to play dress up and jump on the mini trampoline. The slide is huge and can be pretty scary for toddlers. Really like the fire engine truck as it has a real water hose for the kid to push water out and aim at the wall. The sandbox can be a bit messy since some kids have socks on and no change of clothes. Bathrooms are clean and spacious, with all the amenities readily available. AWESOME! Today was my first time at Twinkle and I hesitantly (I am not a huge fan of these types of places) brought my son for a play date. What a great space and options for kids to run around and have fun. 1.) The place is very clean (I cannot comment on the restroom, as we did not use it) and not "run down" or "dingy". 2.) Twinkle is not in some huge warehouse type space, rather a "medium" size "store front" type. It is a very inviting space. BUT expectedly it was very crowded today (bc of holiday and schools were closed) and the entryway was a bit overwhelming when we were trying to leave. 3.) The staff was very pleasant and courteous! 4.) Arrive when they open if you want to get right in, or else expect to wait to get in. I got there at 10:00 am sharp and there was already a crowd. 5.) Overall, my son loved it and I did not get crazed with all of the kids and parents running around. YES, I recommend Twinkle! 6.) And...everyone was having a great time -- kids, parents, nannies, and grandparents alike. My son made friend's with some kid's mom and dad, playing with them for a good hour. Lol. 7.) Another pro - only kids 6 and younger are permitted. So parents with little ones do not have to worry about their kids at these play places being trampled by older kids. So, of course you have to watch your children, but this place is really safe and you can kind of sit back and "relax" while your children run around and play and not have to worry! This playspace in williamsburg is as awesome a play area as the childrens museum of manhattan in uws--that's pretty remarkable given this playspace is owned & operated by a family in a former warehouse space. All the play structures are designed with a lot of thought & attention to detail. For example the elevated catwalk area leads to a spaceship & the water table has a ball drop into a cyclone tank! My kid loved it without hesitation! There are costumes for kids to play dress up. There's a princess parlor, a mini grocery store, a mini graffiti disco, multiple slides, a kitchen area you can feed the kids bag lunch (nothing for sale except a vending machine). Beware this space only allows kids 6yr & under (some exceptions may be made for birthday parties which are held weekend afternoons). Even though the tiniest infants are allowed--this space isn't really that appropriate for babies who cant yet walk or at least cruise a bit. read more

My kids LOVE TWINKLE!!!! We come often for open play as an after school treat. When we lived just up the street we would come a few weekends a month. They have open play from 9am-noon because they are usually booked for parties in the later part of the afternoon. Now that we live further we've switched to after school since they are open until 6pm. My son is two (perfect place for him) and my daughter is six (she's getting a bit old to play around so many little ones) In this huge space there are different themed sections for the kids to explore. There's a huge fire truck equipped with working lights and siren. The kids can also dress up to look like a firefighter. There's a fully equipped market with an ice cream shoppe. A section of green tarp where the kids can just run around. Note: there a little trick water bed feature on the tarp that's pretty fun to watch the kiddies try to run across it and ultimately fall. I've fallen as well. There's a in closed farm themes section for little babies to play. If you bring lunch or a snack there's is a separate eating area for that too. With a microwave!! Most of the kiddies are smaller so of course that means strollers but they have a stroller parking lot that's tucked away and the entrance is very tiddy with cool shelving for your shoes and coats. A visit here costs me $45 for two kids (a bit pricey) but my kids have a blast, make a new friend every time and are completely tuckered out when we get home. Win Win all around. Celebrated my daughters 1st birthday here this pass weekend and I must say it was nothing less then amazing. From the time I inquired about the place to the last goodbye everyone was professional and sweet. They literally catered to your every need and would check up on you to make sure everything was going well. The last time I felt like this was for my wedding . They showed us the room before showing our guest, for our approval and it was gorgeous. My guest love it and kept asking how did I find this place. We didn't have to lift a finger. I tried to dish out cupcakes and they took the task out my hands and proceeded to their jobs. I would recommend this place for sure and they really do cater to children 6 and under which is extremely HARD to find! Overall twinkle is a great place to play, but there are some issues. The ones that the twinkle can control are the cleanliness of the bathrooms. We went on a not so busy day by 1030 am the bathroom smelled like pee, this could not of happened in the 30 mins the place had been opened, so it was from the day prior. The was pee all over the floor as well and no toilet paper. Yes people are gross but first thing after the place opens it should not be like that. The water for the water play smells awful. There was even a kids sock in the water. The water definitely needs to be changed and kept clean. More then one child got there foot stuck near the gap by the trampoline. The flooring around it also is a trip hazard for young kids, lots of kids were tripping, adults as well. Our socks were also pretty dirty by the time we left, unlike other play places that are much cleaner. The eating area is super small. People claim tables even when they are not eating the space really is not used well. The vending machine most times does not work, and does not give you change. Now the things out of twinkles control. Care givers both nannies and parents don't really watch there children here. So there is a lot little kid pushing shoving etc. It's so bad that you can't even tell who is taking care of the child that is causing the problem. The caregivers are no where in eye shot. For $35 I expect more. Yes it's $25 to try it out the first time but it honestly is not worth $35. Tips: go early if you want to get in bc it will reach capacity early. And nannies don't want to loose there spot so they do not leave even when their child is taking a nap. Definitely bring socks with grips for the kids bc some of the surfaces are really slippery. read more

Went to a birthday party recently. It was a dream of a place. Daughter had a blast in there. It's a huge place. Slides, shooters, toys, mini trampoline. Fantastic. Would recommend for those snowy days and birthdays. I can't afford it but it sure impressed me as a birthday bash place. It was clean and especially the bathroom (you can tell a lot about an establishment by their bathroom or maybe it's just my thing), the people working were friendly. Even if parents are chit chatting they will make sure your kids are in safe hands. Look away for a sec and you know what kids can do in seconds. Pricey, but fun. Just wish they'd revamp the attractions more frequently. They never update so kids get bored fast. Also the website is beyond annoying and a pain to use and if you don't use it to sign up in advance, they charge you additional for a walk in fee. read more

The kids are on spring brake mid of April and snow ice was last night. It's was cold for playground so we were looking on a indoor playground . We founded the twinkle place. The prices look high but we said that we will try it!!! After we came we understood why they charge like that. The place is super nice and clean. The Reston super clean also . They have activities that you never see in other places. Super original. The crew staff are great and very friendly . The owned is very nice too. Very very very recommended !!!!!!!!!!! read more

I honestly don't not post any review on Yelp unless it's super amazing or super bad. I been wanting to take my kids to Twinkle Playspace for awhile, since we literally been to EVERY playspace in the 5 boroughs plus some in LI, also ALL the children museums you can name from Brooklyn, Manhattan, hall of science to LI.... Twinkle Playspace is by far my favorite also my 2 and 4 year old's favorite... I can't stop thinking about since our visit this morning on how detail each area was layout, how there was no wasted area. The kids had amazing time but without being overly stimulated with flashing toys or lights. The place literally took the best of the children's museums and lay it out perfectly. We live in forest hills which is 15 min drive from the space, but we'll be back. Thank you! read more
