LOOK NO FURTHER!…read more We were cruising down every street and alley looking for shops that were open as it was both early in the week *and* it was during the off season. How exciting to find this SUPER cute, out of the way shop that is a little off the beaten path in Nashville, IN. I had the hubs drop me off and I went in not knowing what to expect. All I can say is that anyone who knits or crochets HAS to visit this place. They have THE MOST amazing hand spun yarns and materials I have ever seen. This is no Red Heart - Super Saver kinda place. The Clay Purl is the real deal! Being one of a handful of folks in town allowed us some one-on-one time with the really nice lady working at The Clay Purl. She was so sweet to listen to anecdotes about inheriting all kinds of old skool acrylic materials from my crafty grandmother and had some really good ideas of where to donate materials that I would not personally use. Admittedly, it had been too long since I had picked up my own hooks and needles, and she sweetly encouraged me to do so. I plan to return once I have dusted off my hook and picked a project. These yarns are delicious.

The store is located in Brown county Nashville, Indiana and it is a store for kid friendly and adult friendly. The customer service is amazing. They explain what the products are. The website associated with the business lists gifts, cards, art, vintage, and curiosities. That pretty well covers it. The building, like many in Nashville, is a former home turned business. As you enter, there is a staircase that leads up (I'm not sure that area is open to the public). A couple of staff were having a conversation as I strolled through the house. I noticed miniature houses/rooms recreated by the owner who spent time as a curator of furnishings for a New York museum. I also found puzzles and pencils and a diverse group of items that may work as a gift or as a conversation piece in your home.
