I FEEL BLESSED I…read morehad never been to this medical facility before and had a colonoscopy procedure there with Doctor Winter Wilson. I have zero negative to report from the experience. 10 on a scale of 10. The hospital was spotless clean. The bathrooms were spotless clean. The entire staff that I interacted with were pleasant and caring and carried themselves like they knew what they were doing and could do it blindfolded, which made me feel at ease. The A/C system was set at the perfect temperature for a July visit. I didn't feel too cold or too hot. The staff listened to my questions carefully and offered me thoughtful and knowledgeable responses at 6:30 in the morning. They went out of their way to address my spouse's / caregiver needs and not just me. Although I have never been in this place before, they made it feel just like home and I would call this MY hospital going forward. I can only imagine that if I was really sick and trying to get healed, this would be a great place to end up. I think I would get as good a care or better than I would receive at a monstrocity facility in a big city. Based upon my interactions yesterday, I really think these people care about their patients and are performing their duties to the best of their abilities and not corner-cutting. In closing, the anesthesiologist looked me in the eye before going under and told me, don't you worry about a thing. We are all here together and we are all going to make sure that you are okay and nothing happens to you. That meant so much to me and put me so at ease. I can't thank her enough for taking the time to do that. After I returned home, I received a followup call the next morning to check on me and I appreciated that a lot as well. I can't say "I can't wait to go back", but if I do, I feel at-ease that I've got an outstanding medical facility right in my own back yard that's going to give me quality medical care. Good Job Marshall North and Bless You All !!!!

My experience at Marshall Medical North on June 19th was extremely alarming and put my health at…read moreserious risk. I was evaluated during my first visit that late morning/early afternoon and was told to return immediately if my condition worsened. Later that same day, my symptoms became significantly worse, so I returned as instructed. During this second visit, the physician on duty did not come into the room, did not examine me, did not reassess my symptoms, and did not repeat labs despite clear deterioration. The medical record from that second visit states that an exam was performed and that I was "in no distress." This is not accurate. I was sitting on the side of the bed actively vomiting, in severe pain, and visibly unwell. My blood pressure at discharge was 90/43. After being discharged in that condition, I traveled to a hospital in Birmingham, where I was immediately admitted with acute kidney injury and infection. I remained hospitalized from June 19th to June 23rd and required urgent surgery on June 22nd to remove the obstructing stone once the infection and kidney injury were stabilized. I have filed formal grievances with both the hospital and my insurance provider regarding the care I received during the second visit. Based on what happened to me, I cannot recommend this ER and would not feel safe returning. However, I do want to acknowledge that the initial doctor I saw, Dr. John Alves, was outstanding. He acted quickly, ordered the appropriate tests, and made sure I received pain relief. I truly appreciate his care and professionalism. I only wish he had still been on duty when I returned in worsening condition.

Amazing doctor!! This was my first visit to Dr. Joshi and I will be making him my primary…read morephysician now. I just moved to the area and was shopping around for a new doctor. I had three bad experiences with other doctor before I came to see Dr. Joshi today. I knew this kind of doctor was out there and I finally found him. He listened attentively to all of my concerns, had a very kind and gentle bedside manner, and I found him to be incredibly knowledgable and aware of how some medical situations can be complicated. I really appreciate how nice the receptionist was and the office staff seemed super organized. The nurse was very nice, too. I was taken back right away for triage with the nurse and the doctor came to see me just moments after the nurse left. So what I am trying to say is that I am extremely pleased with the medical and customer service that I received at my appointment today.
