The proximity of this location to my parents' home is dangerous. Craig's Cookies' third location in the city, the quality and taste of their cookies are consistent. I've walked by several Craig's Cookies in the city but never had a chance to try them until I came across a post on social media for national cookies day where they had a promotion for 40% off half a dozen of their famous chocolate chip cookies. The promotion was a great opportunity for me to finally try their cookies. What I enjoyed most was the fact that I can preorder for pick up later in the week. I scheduled to pick up my cookies in the middle of the week when it's less busy. I easily found street parking in the neighbourhood and walked over to the shop. Inside the shop at just after 2pm, I was greeted by a friendly staff who had my order ready on standby. They had a little display case of all the cookies they offered which was such eye candy for any cookie monster like myself. The cookie was extremely fresh, it was a little soft in the middle and absolutely delicious. They were also huge pieces of chocolate in there! New location in Leaside. Big storefront right on Bayview with all glass windows so you can decide on cookie selections while waiting outside! Only one customer inside at a time due to current covid situation. It does get busy and line up is long but moves quickly. Offerings include selection of the daily cookies and coffee all for takeout only. Two cookies for $5.50, half dozen for $16 etc. The cookies are thick and gooey with lots of filling and super rich but satisfying. Better warmed up. Perfect for carb lovers and with coffee or tea in cold wintry conditions. Service is fast and efficient. Odd that they will ask for tip for a 5 second transaction. I decided to buy into the hype that is Craig's cookies, as the store just opened on Bayview, close to home. I went in at 7 pm, when there was no line up. I purchased six cookies. Two remain in the box, untouched. This was six days ago. What is wrong with this picture? How can two cookies go uneaten, after six whole days, with a professional cookie monster like myself around? The reason for this is because Craig makes the worst cookies I have ever tasted (and this includes my very first attempt at baking cookies as a teen....) Doughy, under-baked, SALTY as heck ...so gross. Like, the gingerbread cookie is seriously disgusting. A friend suggested we try these cookies. We picked up 6 cookies for a Mother's Day treat. Very disappointing. I had the classic chocolate chip cookie and macadamia white chocolate cookie. I'm not sure what all the negative hype is about with Craig's Cookies, but I quite enjoyed them. I've found with bakeries like this, one cookie is more than enough to enjoy. By far my favourite cookie is the Ferrerro Rocher. I mean, it's my favourite chocolate and they put it in a cookie! Their cookies are filling and satisfying. We chose to buy half a dozen with a variety of flavours including the Ferrero Rocher as mentioned above; Toffee, M&M, Bounty, Snickers, & Rice Krispie. These cookies are crispy and chewy, just the way I like them and the best part is we enjoyed them for a few days afterwards. We weren't sure if 6 cookies would be enough, but it lasted awhile and were so tasty. Each cookie was packed full of flavour and I will admit that we've been back a few times already. If you're looking for a cookie that satisfies, I suggest trying these guys. If you want to wolf down a dozen cookies in one sitting, it's probably best to hit the Shopper's next door or the Metro a little further down Bayview for the usual commercial brands. But apart from the cookies, the staff are super friendly and helpful in their flavour suggestions. What on earth is the hype? As a 'dessert aficionado', I was excited to have another neighbourhood option for sweets. Craig's Cookies recently opened on Bayview and I debated whether I was willing to join the huge lineup, but ultimately did. When it was my turn, I naturally went all in and ordered 12 cookies. They have a multitude of flavours, but really I am a chocolate chip purist. Still, I threw in a few 'Oreo' cookies too. The verdict? Very mediocre and way too salty. And, hugely overpriced (especially considering that they slap a 10 cent Oreo on it, which then constitutes half the Craig cookie). Honestly, we could barely finish those cookies. My advice - walk across the street and buy a beautiful and rich chocolate chip (or chocolate chip walnut) cookie from Rahier. Or, head to Charmaine Sweets in Leaside and try their gourmet butter cookies. Or downtown, Le Gourmand (on Spadina) which makes a spectacular chocolate chip cookie. read more

Not sure about the low reviews for this place but I had a great experience there. The place is tiny right on Bayview, so that two people are allowed in at a time during COVID but I've seen many people opt for waiting outside while one single shopper is inside. They have a whole variety of different cookies with cool concepts like Twinkies (which has cake inside!) and Mars. The cookies taste fresh and are soft yet crisped perfectly on the outside. I know there's been some recent controversy over their policy regarding the staff asking whether you'd like to tip when you pay, but I said 'Not today, thanks' when asked and the guy couldn't have been nicer about it ('That's okay, no problem'). Next time I probably will add a tip, if only to help support new businesses as this location just recently opened and because hey, times are tough right now for pretty much everybody working in that kind of business. Both people working behind the counter seemed like cool, kind people, and they were helpful in recommending cookies to me. One cookie is $3 and two are $5.50 so they're not cheap but they are rich and delectable. They also come in a box with a rainbow heart sticker for sealing the box, and I really liked that both because I'm a sucker for cute packaging and also because I like messaging that celebrates inclusiveness and diversity. I'm eyeing this place for potential Christmas cookie gifting, in particular as they also have holiday cookies! read more

We're really excited finally to have a chance to try these cookies. And tbh Im so disappointed of the staff's attitude. She is really rude and mean to us. Our first time here and we dont know how to order and ask the staff and she didnt answer and just point her face on the menu right beside the door. And when I finished my order and she just said' that's it' and when she ask how I want to paid and she punching the machine without notice that I can paid on another machine until my friend said it's ready to paid. People are more likely to leave a bad review, so pay them no attention! I really like that they're salty - there's so many sweet things added to them it creates a really nice balance. I'm always excited to go in and try something new because the flavours change frequently. For me it's not just about getting a cookie, it's about the experience of going out with a friend and creating memories together. If it doesn't make you happy to support a small business by meeting lovely staff and getting some treats, then take your bad mood elsewhere and leave Craig's alone.
