    Menu for the week

Not too far from High Park, this bakery may have the best cookies in town! The shop is a walk-up window so all purchases are to go. The cookies here were all large, fresh, and chewy. I ordered the Chocolate Kanafeh, Lemon Poppyseed, Chocolate Chunk, Macadamia Nut, Oreo Birthday Cake, and Almond Croissant. While delicious, I found the Lemon Poppyseed a little too sweet and needed some tea to finish it. The Chocolate Kanafeh, on the other hand, was heavenly and perfect! Their flavour offerings changes weekly, and can be found on their website and IG page. You can buy a single cookie, or in boxes of 3, 6, 12 or 24 here, and orders for the week can be placed every Tuesday beginning at 9 am.

I think it depends on what you're looking for in a cookie that determines the value proposition of Andrea's. The cookies were big- cool. They were overly sweet- not great for me personally but maybe fine for other ppl. I do have Asian taste buds when it comes to sugar- the less the better lol. They're priced at $5.09 PER COOKIE if you buy them individually, so it basically makes it impossible for you to NOT buy 3 for $13.50 or whatever it was. I got the strawberry milkshake, chocolate chip, and cookies and cream. The strawberry milkshake one didn't need the sugar glaze on top but I suppose it's partially for the aesthetic also.

I've been intrigued by Andrea's Cookies for a while, especially given its window right off Bloor, so I was excited to finally try their wares on a recent Saturday afternoon. I opted for the Chocolate Chunk and Almond Croissant cookies, and they were both clearly quite fresh. They're good cookies. They're packed with delicious flavors and a good balance of the salty and the sweet. I will say, though, that the cookies are slightly underbaked and awfully doughy, which I'll admit isn't my favorite type of cookie. But they're certainly miles better than the similar Crumbl cookies. Still, it's a minor complaint for a cookie that's otherwise very enjoyable to eat.

Hands down, Andrea makes the BEST cookies I've ever had in Toronto! Giant, super chewy, moist, & thick but with just enough crust on the outside. Pair them with a glass of milk/iced coffee and you're transported to somewhere ethereal. They taste amazing even after a few days in an air-tight container. Honestly, it's probably a good thing that this place is so far & inconvenient for me to go to, otherwise I'd be here every other week. Parking in this area can be pretty frustrating though, but if you're in the area visiting High Park, I strongly recommend you stop by here! Make sure to pre-order so you can ensure your favourite flavours don't sell out.

I've heard so much about Andrea's Cookies and how they are the best in Toronto! Even in the pouring rain, I made sure to get there just after opening as they sell out of their most popular flavors quick. I ordered a three pack for $12 and they were piping hot out of the oven! It smelled amazing and the staff at the store were also super sweet. What I got: - Kinder - Lemon Poppyseed - Cookie Butter My favs: - The Lemon poppyseed was so fresh and packed with citrus flavor! If you like lemon, you're going to love this - The Cookie Butter is so pretty and if you heat it up for a few seconds in the microwave (or get it fresh!) the cinnamon flavor really stands out Final Thoughts: These cookies are definitely a level up from your usual grocery store pack as they are super soft, moist, and chewy. The flavours were fresh and fragrant. The ultimate stamp of approval from my parents is "not too sweet" and unfortunately Andrea's Cookies didn't get the ultimate compliment but my parents still gave it a 7.5/10 and I would agree. The cookies were just a tad too sweet but the flavors and texture was still amazing. At this price tag I wouldn't be a regular, but I'd definitely come back when I want to treat myself!

So the bear itself in the affogato was a solid icy chunk of milk (coz we chose the milk flavour) that just frozen. We added the affogato on top of it and while it looked aesthetic, the dessert didn't make sense at all. We were unable to break the frozen chunk or be able to mix it with the coffee and the coffee mixed with that frozen chunk submerged tasted really bad. Paying $16 for that wasn't worth it at all. The bingsu was good though. We got the mango bingsu bowl and it came loaded with mangoes and a marshmallow and an oreo cookie to make it look pretty! I don't think I'd come back to try anything else here. Was a little disappointed.

Delicious desserts, waffles ice cream, smoothies, and more. We ordered: Medium Mango Smoothie - $7.95 Simple Pleasures Waffle - $15.50 The waffle was light and fluffy and the toppings of fruit and chocolate were a great combination. I requested to be lighter on the chocolate but there was still a LOT of chocolate on our waffle. The mango smoothie was refreshing and sweet. I started going to Holy Choco when they first opened and their service was really good from some of the owner. Super attentive and caring staff. Unfortunately, it's since gone downhill since they've hired new staff and we had a number of small problems when visiting this time (dirty tables, dirty cutlery, requested if our food could be put in to go containers because they didn't want to do dishes, unfriendly, etc.) I hope they improve upon these staffing issues soon. Their seating area is good for friends and groups to loiter. Also, if you plan on bringing a laptop, they have MANY OUTLETS!!

For items: we chose strawberry, banana, halal marshmallow, waffle bites, brownie bites, and Oreo with a round of cappuccino's ($5.50 each). The interior is nicely decorated with a cute angel photo op in the back, and window bar seats and couches to choose from. Great spot for 2-4 people. The only criticism I could have was it took a while to get our order. So, it's not one of those places you can be dipping into expecting to be done in 20mins! We stayed for nearly 3 hours and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.

I stopped by Kream after seeing all the hype on Instagram about the famous Korean "Dubai…read morechocolate." When I saw the price was $9.90 per chocolate, I was honestly a little surprised, bc it's sold under 7 per chocolate in Korea. But they were running a promotion until the 15th -- 5 for $30 -- which made it much more reasonable. I've never had the original version sold in Korea, so I can't compare it directly, but from what I've seen and heard, it seems pretty similar to what's trending there. Korean reviews are overwhelmingly positive, and people say it tastes just like the viral version. The texture is definitely chewy, just like the name suggests, and it's very sweet. Personally, it was a bit too sweet for my taste, but that's just my preference. That being said, I gave some as gifts and they absolutely loved it. So if you enjoy rich, sweet desserts -- or you're looking for something trendy and fun to share -- this would be a great choice. The shop itself is small and cozy, but very welcoming. The staff were friendly and made the experience pleasant. Overall, even though it's not exactly my personal favorite flavor-wise, I can understand the hype. It's a fun treat to try at least once, especially if you've been curious about the viral Korean Dubai chocolate trend. I'd recommend stopping by and taking advantage of the promo while it lasts!

The cube cakes are rich without being overly sweet, and you can tell care went into both texture and balance. They're also filled generously with so much cream!
