The clean aesthetics and openness give you a sense of calm and a desire to be there, whether for studying or taking classes. They have book clubs and instructional classes ranging from hands-on cooking to needlework. They offer to take U.S. passport photos. They have so much to offer besides wonderful books. This lending library sources tools (yes, you read this correctly), museum passes, videos, eBooks, eAudio, and other resources beyond just books. You can even exchange clippings for plants. English literature they have stopped accepting books donation, and foreign language literatures, they would have to check, but most likely they won't accept. Be sure the foreign language books are educational and in mint condition. Inside the library was smaller than I thought, but it was cozy in each floor. Although the library is overall very quiet, I couldn't find an empty study room, during Summer vacation, and in the morning! Glad to see our younger generations still read and study!! Not only no study room available, but all seatings are occupied. Mix feeling ... I wonder how's it like during weekends. I decided to walk around before I left the library. As a teacher and someone who tutors students at the South Brunswick Public Library multiple days…read moreeach week, I truly appreciate having a public space dedicated to learning. Unfortunately, my experience over the past several weeks has become increasingly frustrating. The biggest issue is that children are running, yelling, and playing throughout the entire library--not just in the children's section. The noise level has become so disruptive that it is often difficult for my students to focus during tutoring sessions. Instead of the quiet environment a library is meant to provide, it frequently feels chaotic. I am also concerned about safety. I have personally witnessed children running through the aisles, playing tag, climbing on bookshelves, screaming at the top of their lungs, and even walking around without shoes. These behaviors create safety risks not only for the children but for other patrons as well. I understand that libraries are community spaces and that children are welcome. However, there still needs to be reasonable supervision and enforcement of library rules so everyone can enjoy the space. Students, tutors, remote workers, and many others rely on the library as a quiet place to study and work. I hope the library can take steps to address these concerns and restore the calm, safe environment that so many members of the community depend on.

I also noticed they have a drive through drop box should anybody not be feeling well or their child isn't well and just wish to drop books off. Outside their lobby they feature a high school at work from students. Very talented artists. While I'm not a Monroe resident, I can utilize their computers, relax and read their books or magazines, unfortunately I don't have borrowing privileges.

Accidentally returned it to a library drop box in another county and it was never located. Bought a like-new replacement book with the same ISBN number and they would not accept it. They made me pay for a new book even though their book was in very poor condition.

This small but mighty library has so many wonderful things within. They're not just books and…read morevideos, but rather a welcoming place where the community comes together. They have some of the latest novels and there are wonderful programs for people of all ages. The librarians and staff are all friendly, and if you ever need help finding a particular book or require resources, they are always ready to assist.

A very nicely sized Library with much to offer. They have a great variety of books for adults,…read moreteens, and children. They offered many wonderful programs as well. They're free to any Mercer County resident, but if you are not a resident, you would be charged an annual fee of $75 for a library card for borrowing their physical and virtual collections. You also have access to their databases and virtual services, such as Libby and periodicals. They no longer offer Hoopla, sadly. Their borrowing period is three weeks, and have automatic renewal if there are no other holds on the sourced materials. They do offer into Interlibrary loan materials for up to four weeks, I am told. However, it should be noted that their "Lucky Day books, summer reading, and school assignment are only two weeks. Blu-rays and DVDs are one week. Their public computers are first come first serve served, but I didn't have any problems acquiring one. A great place for the community and a great resource for the entire family.
