However, since I was a Southern California AAA member, they had to transfer me to Northern California AAA, which them ending up calling the Yosemite Village Garage. Jason from the Garage came with a towing truck and first checked the condition of my tire to see if he can patch it but the pine cone sliced it so bad that we needed to either go to the tire center, which was over 90 miles from my location or call a mobile tire replacement service, which was a little over 20 miles away. Both Jason and I thought it was going to be expensive but he called the mobile tire replacement service any way and it end up being reasonable so we went with it. Jason transferred my car to the Garage where it is safer and closer to the service. That way, the service won't charge too much for the gas, which was very thoughtful. On the way to the garage, he became our tour guide and shared helpful tips while visiting the park, which helped us ease our worries. While we were waiting for the service for two hours, another staff at the Garage, Josh came and checked on us frequently and offered a waiting room with an air conditioner and cold water as it was getting hot in the afternoon. He was very friendly, kind and generous just like Jason. I am forever grateful that the Garage exists. If it weren't them, I would have been so lost. I can never thank you all for your services enough. You are all amazing!

It is only first come first serve. Two stars for work done correctly. Just to be clear this experience was a while back. My vehicle would not start and I called to make sure it would be ok to have AAA tow it to his shop for service, which he approved. I waited all day and when I didn't hear back I called to check if they found out what the issue was. They let me know the work had been done hours ago and it was ready to pick up. I asked what it was and they said that one of the spark plugs and coil packs had failed and they went ahead and replaced all of them since it was only a matter of time before the others failed. I asked what the damage was and it was more than I expected. When I came to pick it up I asked if this was the normal price for the work as generally speaking replacing spark plugs and coil packs is not that difficult. He explained that this vehicle was notorious for stripped threads and they didn't even like to do them. It came across as if I was lucky they even did the work. I asked him what the typical range was and he said it varied and gave me a low and high range and explained what it took to fix it if the threads got damaged. The final price was on the higher end of that scale. I asked who did the work so I could thank them and when I talked to the tech I asked how the job went and asked if he ran into any problems. He said that it went smoothly and about as good as he could hope for. I know I could have contacted BAR and made a complaint but I just filed it under live and learn and crossed this shop off my list. My concerns and why I will not go back for service. 1. Never given a quote - not legal in state of California 2. Not contacted when work was finished 3. Was told price was variable depending on difficulty of work performed. Found out that job went smoothly but I was still charged as if they ran into additional problems. 4. Can't make appointments
