The course layout is really fun and the conditions were excellent. Greens rolled nicely, and the fairways and tee boxes were in very good shape. The pace of play was perfect. I hardly had to wait on any holes which made the round really enjoyable. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, especially the bag drop/starter and the bartender. The pro shop is beautiful and well stocked with plenty of merchandise. Before the early round I grabbed a coffee, and at the turn I tried their "3-minute breakfast sandwich" (rye, egg, cheese, and sausage) with another coffee. It really did come out fast and was delicious. Also saw turkeys and rabbits on the course which added to the experience. Overall a great public course and I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area.

After being…read moreinvited to play in a tournament I was really looking forward to getting out and enjoying the day with my friends and making new ones. The weather was absolutely beautiful as were the greens - the fairways were a little dry even after torrential rains the day before but we still manage to shoot a solid round. The course is pretty wide open and although there are a few challenging holes I think it's a course you can shoot a reality low score if you manage this course rather than let it tempt you to ignore the risk on some of the more challenging holes. The staff here is very friendly and provided outstanding customer service on the course in the club house, restaurant and bar. I loved that on most of the holes requiring a driver you could swing away and the course rewarded you with a great opportunity to get to the greens in regulation providing lots of of eagle and birdie opportunities. The greens were pretty true and fairly easy to read but were extremely fast so if you "hit a house" you won't like the results when you blow by the hole. This is a course I definitely want to take on one on one verses the scramble I played today, although the "par is your friend" format was fun and rewarding as it should be. The prices here are very reasonable at the club house, restaurant and bar. This course if definitely a hidden and non-pretentious gem in NSB - I will definitely return...

The clay tennis courts and pickle ball courts are very nice as well. The sunset grill and main dining room offer a variety of food choices. But, the most important attribute of Sugar Mill are its members. The members are welcoming and most importantly friendly. Sugar Mill offers an affordable private club experience. All of this and the beautiful New Smyrna Beach are a true gem. If you are considering relocating to Florida you must give Sugar Mill Country Club and its surrounding neighborhood a look!

It…read moreseems the staff here has hosted so many events it appears effortless and since it's members only to tee-off (meaning you can play with an invite) I'm here for an event and an evening of delicious food and alcohol, after all it's a celebration. We raised a glass to cheers my dear friend and a big thank you for the invite and I may have planted a kiss on her cheek. The private venue offered some socializing we've been missing with our good friends and of course the incorporation of some social distancing, but still the accommodations offered an intimate setting and the staff completely understands the importance of giving everyone space but still managed to provide exceptional service. I know there's an invite pending for a wonderful dinner in the near future and after touring the restaurant and sports bar it's looking like I'm going to have to drop a few more hints so I can experience it all. This is a beautiful Country Club with lots of amenities with a small membership, there's nothing not to like about this place...

The course is well themed and one of our favorites out of the other nearby courses. There is a scavenger hunt that is included on your score card as well for an extra activity to do while golfing. You can also do gem mining, there's an arcade and you can feed gators. So a lot to do in one place for families looking for that type of thing. We had a great time and it was one of the highlights of our trip!

We don't own the property but have friends that do and graciously let us us their condo. Right across from the beach, access to clubhouse with parking on the beach, golf course, fitness center, several outdoor pools with grill, indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna, friendly staff. LOVE this place! There are a few places to dine in Ponce Inlet, but this is mainly a residential area. We make a short drive north to hit Daytona or south for New Smyrna Beach for more restaurants.

We were easily able to discuss our plans over the phone, and make all arrangements, including adding turkey-carving and omelet-making to our brunch. They were also extremely accommodating with regards to adding extra tables so we could set up a table for cards & picture signing, a table for the cake, and a table for our own photo booth. Jackie was our contact person, and she was there the day of the event, making sure that everything was better than we had even asked for. She went above and beyond by bringing guava juice to add to our mimosa bar, so everyone could try something fun. The manager in charge of the food also did an excellent job, making sure that everything remained well-maintained and stocked. I loved how Jackie and her team stepped up when it came time to cut and distribute my Mom's cake to the 60+ guests in attendance. We had a surprise party here for my Mother when she turned 60, and this was for her 80th, so hopefully this place will still be going strong so we can hold her 100th here as well!
