Our group played a round of golf here earlier this week and it was a great time! It wasn't super crowded when we played, so we got a little more time at each hole to enjoy the course theming. The course is well themed and one of our favorites out of the other nearby courses. There is a scavenger hunt that is included on your score card as well for an extra activity to do while golfing. You can also do gem mining, there's an arcade and you can feed gators. So a lot to do in one place for families looking for that type of thing. The course is an easy difficulty level, kid and family friendly. The set up is very elaborate and cool just not well spaced out between the holes. There no waiting space and as you get caught behind a big group, the people behind you get into your personal space which was a bit annoying. Water looks cool from a far but kind of dirty while actually playing. read more

Giving this gem a five out of five, why? Because it's an AWESOME mini putt course. You may be wondering "Carla, why did you drive all the way down to Daytona to play mini putt?" My rebuttal would be, "Why not?" My husband suggested spontaneously that he found a fun looking putt putt course and it could be fun to go down for the day and then grab lunch on the way back. I was game and truth be told, I've never been to Daytona. The drive took us about an hour/hour and half. When we arrived, I was floored by the shear size of this mini putt course. Now this is what Jacksonville is missing: a massive mini putt course with large waterfall, plane, etc. When we arrived we paid for two adults and a child. We were greeted by a pool of gators. Real live gators. My kiddo was super excited to see these "little ones" in their own little pool. The great thing about this course was it wasn't crowded, so we were able to take our time at each hole, without feeling rushed. The grounds are meticulously maintained. The landscaping was beautiful and they even labeled all the flowers, which was a really nice touch. The course itself was in perfect condition. Great greens, neat, and no wear and tear. We saw everything from being on a boat on one hole, to seeing "quick sand" in another, to a cave, seeing a plane up close, etc. It was a really fun course and my kiddo loved it! After we were done, a guy working gave us scratch off tickets, you could get money off your next mini putt game, money off mining or feeding the gators. Our little wanted to feed the gators, which we did. I'm not exactly sure what we were feeding them, but we were given polls, some "gator treats", and were given instructions about how to feed them. It was interesting to see and my kiddo got a kick out of it. When he saw someone getting their pic taken with a gator, he begged until we obliged. For $10 you/your kiddo can get their pic taken with a gator and hold a gator. The smile on his face was priceless. It's not something we'd do every day, but it was a nice way to spend the day as a family and do something different. Such a fun place! For 18 holes of golf, feeding, and holding the gators it was $95 for 2 people so not too bad. The holes of golf were SO fun! They definitely have some with some challenges. Would definitely come again. read more

Very fun place with some very interesting holes. A pleasant way to spend a day. First nice surprise was a nice military discount. A lovely day, slightly overcast. A bit more challenging than some we have visited, including one nearby that was not nearly as fun and more expensive. Only 2 drawbacks were: (1) Some sneaky open rims to water, I found 3 water hazards. I swear my ball had a water magnet! (2) A couple holes with a bunch of steps up a slope. A bit harder for us septuagenarians, but we made it. Will sleep well tonight. I was off on the front nine, mainly due to the %*%#€*% water hazards, but did much better on the back nine and ended up a draw. Interesting also was the gator exhibit. Smaller 4' gators you could pay a fee to hold one or pay a fee to feed them. read more

Congo River Golf is a great night out for the family. The prices were good and the experience is fun. They have your traditional 18 hole mini golf with some decent challenges. Some holes have a spin wheel that give you different ways to play each hole, like roll with your hand or give two strokes to someone else if you make par. They also have live alligators to feed or to hold for a small fee or a arcade and gem mining. I definitely recommend coming here in the evening with the family. read more

We came here on a Wednesday afternoon I had some free tickets that I had been holding on for a very long time and they accepted them! Regular price ones about $15 per game. If you want to do a second game it's $10. They have a scorecard and on the back of the scorecard is a scavenger hunt if you do the scavenger hunt and get them all right you get a scratch off and we won a buy one get one free for next time so definitely worth doing the scavenger hunt! This place is super clean and beautiful I love all the plants and flowers we came in mid April 2022. With two people the course took us about an hour and then we spent another half an hour looking at the game room and watching people feed the Gators. They have all types of fun things to do here. Package plans and party plans. They have a game room and event room and you can feed the Gators and pet the baby Gators for a fee. Plenty of parking in the back side of the building and we need to drive across the street. I really had fun and will come back again! read more

Would give it zero stars if I could, solely due to the attitude/ rude demeanor and response from the male (and female- learn how to smile!!) at the front desk at 6:30 on 4/24. My mother questioned the pricing and the male working at the desk gave her an uneducated and lame answer of "I don't make the prices" and shook his head at her. Whoever the owner/manager is should be embarrassed and should address it with the individuals scheduled for that shift. We left because both people working were disgustingly rude to my mother and my family. Hire better people worth giving a paycheck to, tell them to smile and teach them how to answer questions politely and with some self pride. There are tons of options for mini golf on this road... go anywhere else but this place. read more

We always make sure to hit the local putt putt courses when on vacation. Congo River was great. The course is very well maintained. There are a good mix of easy and moderate holes. There are spinners set up at various holes which add challenges to those holes. You might spin "add one stroke to your opponents score" or "move your opponents ball" or "make your shot using one hand". These challenges really added to our enjoyment. Congo River also has other attractions, hold or feed baby alligators. A mining attraction. We did not participate in those, but a number of others did. We enjoyed our time at Congo River. The staff was friendly and the place was fun. I would recommend a visit if you are looking for some putt putt fun. read more

This place is cute and could be a lot of fun but their customer service is horrible. I bought tickets online since they have it advertised that you save 18% by doing so. When I arrived the lady at the front desk pulled out a laminated piece of paper and proceeded to tell me that I could not use my tickets until 24 hours after purchase. There was nothing on the website that clearly stated this and she was very rude when I asked if she was able to refund my online ticket so I could purchase a new one from her. It doesn't make any logical sense to not allow me to use the tickets I had purchased earlier in the day when I clearly had receipts on my email. I will not be going here again simply because my friends and I were treated poorly. They are clearly trying to scam people out of their money. What a fun time! Came here with my husband to play a round of mini golf and it was so much more fun than we anticipated. There was a scavenger hunt along the way, a wheel to spin to spice up the game and add extra layers of difficulty, and was all around a pretty fun course. At the end we got all the items on the scavenger hunt correct and won a free entry so we can ended up coming back the next day. We had such a good time at Congo River. My wife and 2 kids decided to go because it definitely wasn't a beach day. The staff was overly nice. We did a round of golf and a gator petting. This was probably one of the best golf courses I've ever been to. Another caviat that was a major place was the scavenger hunt that went along with the course. It was so much fun to play and look around for the scavenger items. If you get all of the items you get a scratch off person for each person that played. The gator petting was awesome and disappointing at the same time. It was $10 and only lasted about 3 minutes. But the experience was super cool and even though it's a short time for the cost I'm glad that we did it. read more

FIRST, animal abuse! The small alligators kept by this institution are not being cared for or supervised adequately. I witnessed customers using the rods they were given to feed the alligators to forcefully move them, to the point that the alligators were agitated. Their enclosure was minimally spacious, with about 1 square foot per animal. There was no overhead shelter on the enclosure. SECOND, the staff were extremely rude and unaccommodating. They did not notify us about an exceptionally long wait time before we purchased $75 worth of tickets, and they refused to refund us. THIRD, restrooms were unsanitary and smelled horribly bad. The singular toilet paper roll was loose and left on top of the toilet. FOURTH, parking was extremely limited and we had to wait for a long period of time before a spot became available. Never going to this place again. Go to Pirate's Cove instead. read more

This place is always a favorite when we visit Daytona Beach. We only pay for the kids and the adults just watch because it can be crowded and you have to wait awhile for everyone in your group to go. There are lots of cool things to check out while you wait. It gets hot while you wait so bring some water, there is one vending machine halfway through but it's $3 for one drink. I held one star back because the teenagers working the register can be a little snippy and are not the friendliest people. The $10 to hold the alligators is literally for about two minutes and a quick picture. There is plenty of parking in the back. read more
