Took a trip to Daytona for a friends Birthday weekend. Played an early tee time here and the course was in fantastic shape. Lots of hills and mounds here. Greens were rolling great. Would recommend to anyone visiting Daytona.

Hills course was challenging with water hazards and well placed traps on almost every hole. Narrow drive opportunities too. It was tough but very pretty and fun.

Incredible practice facility and the range line seems to be moved often enough that you'll always have fresh grass. The Hills course was challenging, narrow in a lot of places and over 7000k yards from the back tees. Greens were a little slow and I personally prefer faster putting but it didn't ruin the day. Great facilities, well manicured tees, fairways and greens. The greens were true just took a little getting used to on the speed. I'm working in the area for a few weeks and I'll be back to play the Jones course. When I arrived early I wasn't sure where any of the facilities or first tee were located. I had both staff and other players (members perhaps) who helped me find my way around. If I lived closer I'd have a membership for sure.

On this particular day we played the Hills course a signature Arthur Hill design that is exceptional. This place is special and plays to all skill levels. The greens set up are as close as you would ever get an opportunity to play on in regards to the greens the pros play. Don't under estimate the reads they are true and today they were very very fast and a little humbling to start. Fortunately I enjoy fast greens so this part of my game was the most enjoyable. This course is in the center of a huge complex of housing developments and is tucked away nicely so when driving in from either entrance north or south you would never expect the courses to be so isolated. The course is extremely well maintained and the staff was friendly and provided excellent tips for managing the course. The pace was great we never felt rushed, afterward we enjoyed a few cocktails in the clubhouse and the staff there was also first rate nothing fell short of our expectations from the time we arrived until we departed I would highly recommend treating yourself to this great venue here in Daytona Beach.

Two of the best golf courses in Florida. Tees and greens well manicured. Staff is amazing ! The courses will test every skill level! I'm also a member here !

Good service. Course in good condition. A deer crossed one fairway and a hawk greeted us at the 8th green.

Very arrogant service. Waited 25 minutes for a hot dog at the turn and finally cancelled out order. Course was in OK condition.

Attended a meeting and the food was so dry couldn't eat it. And then the wait staff didn't even clear the dishes off the table. Not good!

The Jones course used to be called the Champions - it's mostly flat with no trees at all.

Hidden off the A1A between some condo high rises and back by the Publix, Walgreens and Shores Community Center. Don't let the name fool you. While it is called a golf club, and I guess there are memberships, it is very much a public course that aside from the brief times when they have leagues, you just show up and play. A few notables: - Right now the course is "under construction" which to me looks like they are just trying to grow some fresh grass on their tee boxes. This means right now it's all temp. tees which only make short holes even shorter. - You can check the layout and distances on their site before you play but right now I don't think anything except maybe #8 is over 100 yards and the shortest are in the mid-20's. You could load the ball in your ass and fart it on the green easier then using a club for something that short. - Obviously with a course this small there are no motorized carts. Everything is walking but they do rent pull carts and clubs and they sell balls and if you're so inclined tees. Do you really need a tee to play here? No, you can get by with a wedge and a putter although if you do rent clubs, they give you a bag with a putter, a wedge or two and an 8 and 9. - Was it busy? Not at all. It was a hot as hell Sunday and aside from two older guys who stopped around five to let us play through, we had the place to ourselves. The guy in the clubhouse said in summer they are usually dead and that most of their rounds are from snowbirds who play far more in winter when it's still warm, but not right now when it feels like you're playing on Mercury. - Hours are 7:30 to 6 during DST and until 5 during standard time. Overall the course is a bit beat up with some brown fairways and greens but the pricing is decent and it's always more fun when you mostly have the course to yourself. Next time in town, next year, guaranteed we'll be back. www.oceansgolfclub.com/

What a fun place to play golf. We enjoyed the old school airplanes going over us in the morning…read more What a show! The course itself is easy to navigate. Was challenging. In decent shape. The club had the usual stuff for sale as well as CBD cocktails prepackaged- interesting! No service on the course when we played, but we could grab what we wanted before we started and at the turn. Restrooms were inside the country club and there were more on the course. Carts were basic. Ours stopped working when we stopped to use the restroom because you gotta remove the key. We tried to call the club for help. It took us awhile to get through. The guys behind us got ahead of us because we were stuck. Apparently there is some trick where you gotta reset the cart. The guy on the phone talked us through it. I would say that was a problem and they should mention it at the club as we lost a solid 20 min trying to help ourselves while calling 5-6 times without answer. We did not eat at the club. Parking was plentiful. Putting green available for practice. We did not have time to hit any balls to warm up. I would say my overall opinion here is that the club staff were the nicest in town. I remember that vividly. Such nice people. The course was decent and challenging. Some rough spots. Some dirt in the fairways. But for the overall experience (aside from the cart malfunction) I would say 4/5 stars and I'd come back to play again.

It's oblivious that this community focuses much of their revenue on the aircraft facilities and not so much on the golf course but I still love playing here and at certain times of the day it's like playing golf at an air show with all the activities, on a few of the tee boxes there are signs warning you of low flying aircraft, even though I still hit the ball amazingly well some days I don't think the pilots have any reason to be concerned. It's apparent they didn't underfund the clubhouse and golf shop, which has a nice selection of golf apparel and gear as well as a nice restaurant and bar with an outdoor patio. The driving range and practice greens are only a few steps from the pro-shop and is very well maintained. Today the weather was 75 degrees and partly sunny with a brisk breeze and gusts exceeding 20 mph which helped on some holes keeping me away from some of the hazards but right in our faces on other holes that required me to club up at times but I'm proud to say I only lost one ball the entire round although I didn't challenge the course record by any means. I agree with the old adage "that the worst day on the golf course is better than the best day at work" so it was a fun day - the staff here was wonderful checking in at the pro-shop was easy and we were able to tee-off a little early which is always nice and we were never pushed. The beer cart made frequent shops to check on us and refresh our coolers and also stocked a nice selection of top-shelf liquor in airline bottles. At the end of the day it was a great outing even though the fairways and cart paths could use a little attention and the greens were like putting on a gymnasium floor (super fast, but true) I hope to return here as much as I can...
