I…read morecalled the shop and was told by Betsy that was normal and that i could use a fabric shaver to remove the pilling and that I might have to do so three or four times and then it would stop. She sent me a fabric shaver which was nice. Well here we are a year and many shaves later and it continues to pill. it looks pretty terrible, like an old worn out couch - much worse than the (ripped) twenty year old couch we were replacing. I'm embarrassed to have friends over. when I do, we have to spend 30 minutes shaving the couch first, which is ridiculous. I hate to throw good money after bad but I suppose I will - we're planning to have the cushions recovered. It's not ideal since obviously they can't match the rest of the couch and that's not really the look I'm going for. But it's better than tossing it and starting over. I reached out to Four Corners recently to politely recommend they not sell this fabric (I feel bad for anyone else who might select it) and got no reply. So, I guess thats the kind of establishment this is. Disappointing - I prefer to shop independent but in this case it sure wasn't a good choice.
