I have never been in this store. I needed to find some flatware and other decor items. I stopped in and was surprised at how large this place was. Lucky for me the flatware was located right at the door I entered. The employee who was nearby greeted me with a smile. And asked if she could help me. Of course she could since I never have been here. She showed me where to go and stayed around and answered a few questions I had as well. All in all I was happy to stop in. But this visit I didn't make a purchase. Maybe next visit. Because I'll for sure be back. read more

I used to shop here frequently when furniture was made in North Carolina and elsewhere in the United States. Now much of the furniture is made in Vietnam. Also, I ordered a dining room chair which I will pick up at the store. I was told that the chair would be in a box. I asked if I would be able to remove the chair from the box when I picked it up to be sure it isn't damaged. I was told absolutely not. I would have to take the chair in the box home and if defective, bring the chair back in the box. This is ludicrous. I won't be shopping at Crate and Barrel again. read more

I love Crate & Barrel. Their furniture fits my style and budget. I have bought several items from them over the years.

We were staying at the hotel in Legacy Village and walked around the plaza to check everything out. We love Crate & Barrel, so we stopped in to see if anything caught our eyes. This location has some great display windows on the outside that give you a good preview of everything and inside it's pretty spread out so you don't feel claustrophobic while you're browsing. They have two floors and everything is well organized. The kitchen section was pretty impressive with all the tools and accessories you could want. It's also nice to be able to sit on the couches in person and check out materials instead of buying them online. read more

I love this store. It's always such a nice place to visit and the staff is so kind and friendly. We went last week while my sister was in town and we got trapped in there for a while thanks to a crazy summer rain storm and I have to say the staff were so funny joking that we were now a captive shopping audience and we might as well get comfy and relax ... try out the sofas and chairs! Lol. It wasn't bad! We had fun looking at all the great new summer outdoor items as well as some really cool prices for the house. I may have even found my dream table! Now I just need the 2 grand to have it ha ha ha oh and a huge dining room! If you need beautiful items for any part of your home and want them unique try out this store. This store is spectacular! It carries all the things we need for our home and then some. They always have what I am looking for and the prices are very reasonable. Today, I bought four stemless wine glasses for $12. I saw a bunch of other stuff that I'd love to buy, such as knives and a new set of pans. They have everything I could possibly want for my entertainment and cooking needs. We like to have friends and relatives over for dinner and this is a place that helps us do that well. OBSESSED. This place is clean, fancy, and beautifully displays items. There is plenty of staff available to help you whenever you need them and are friendly once they find out you're serious about a purchase (at times they are uninterested if they think you are just shopping around) sometimes I even get the feel that they look at me and think "there's no way they can afford anything here". Lol they were surprised when my mom said we were there looking for me. Products are VERY high quality, however extremely expensive in my opinion. Went to buy a piece of furniture on my birthday after our family dinner. We had been researching the Lounge II sofa online and wanted to see it in person. The man mentioned above rudely asked my 2 year old daughter why she was yelling directly in her face. Twice! I told him that's what kids do. He said, "not mine!" He then turned off the lights beside the sofa we were looking at. We were the only people upstairs and every other light was on. I then caught him talking to his employees about us downstairs as we walked out because they all turned. I have worked in the retail industry for 13 years. Companies that sell product for families and their homes should hire people equipped for this environment. Awful Crate and Barrel experience! I thank the woman in my life for introducing me to Crate&Barrel and a whole new world of interior design, fashion and good manners. Before all this, a decade ago, I had a beat up couch and was a scruffy bachelor dressed in rags. Having good stuff, high quality silverware, and a theme to your home decor does wonders to self improvement. I also found out that I tend to get more respect at drive thru windows and restaurants, but I digress. I have an interior "style" now: it's modern contemporary. Crate&Barrel does modern contemporary well. Listen to the woman in your life, take her to Crate&Barrel, it will change your life. P.S. Their furniture holds up well. The fabric lasts. I've had nothing but great experiences at this store. I've ordered furniture from them twice. Yes, their furniture is more expensive but the service you get makes it totally worth it. I ordered a dining room set (that was on clearance) and despite measuring it before I made my purchase, it arrived at my house and was comically large. Normally you couldn't return a clearance item like that, but I was able to explain my blunder and get a smaller table. And the salesperson didn't even make me feel like an idiot, which I appreciated. Fast forward a couple years later. After a breakup, I lost my dining room set in the split. But I loved that table and HAD to get it back once I got my own place again. I was able to go in and re-order the same table and when it was delivered at my house, it was assembled for free. From start to finish, everyone was pleasant to deal with and I was 100% satisfied with my purchase. I can't afford to buy too much furniture from Crate and Barrel, but I know that when I do, the buying process will be smooth and the quality of the pieces will be fantastic. read more

I like Crate and Barrel. I like the styles, the decor, the variety of product, the layout of the store, and the people that work there are not pushy. I did some price comparisons and CB was right on line with most small appliances but maybe a little higher on kitchenware because of the higher quality. I only buy plates, bowls, plasticware, etc., that are dishwasher / microwave safe / oven safe (plates / bowls), because that is really what separates Walmart, Target, and most Bed Bath items from CB. I've never had a quality problem with any of the product that I have ever bought from CB. I was delighted to find out that my TV Stand and Book Shelf was of high quality material and that there was such an ease of putting them together. I've also bought sale items online and they shipped in not time. Look for the deals, they are out there. read more

We were approached by no less than 5 different salespeople when all we wanted to do was shop on our own. Aside from great collections, they also have outstanding customer service here. I entered at 5:55 PM on New Year's Day to make a return and purchase a wedding gift, not realizing they closed at 6:00! The saleswoman assured me it was ok and not to rush. She said they weren't closing until all customers were taken care of. I didn't poke along or anything, but I didn't want to be that customer that employees couldn't wait to leave. No one in retail likes last-minute shoppers, especially on a holiday. What is the difference between Crate and Barrel and the Dollar Tree? The glasses I purchased from the DT, 4 years ago are still useable. I wish I could say the same of my much costlier CB purchases. My husband and I made the mistake of registering here for our wedding 2 years ago. Good thing memories last a lifetime, because nothing on our registry held up for more than a year: The china coffee mugs chipped after less than 4 uses; the metal fasteners popped off of two of our three ceramic storage containers; and what we thought was a bronze finish on a $200 lamp is actually some sort of thick sticker, which popped off and had to be superglued back on. read more

I hate this type of chain store...it's uncreative cookie cutter over priced reproduce vomit makes me dizzy. Some of the furniture pieces are interesting but I've seen better for less...to pay over $1,000.00 for something everyone has vs. a one of a kind hand crafted work of art from someone local ...and most of the metal/cement combos you could easily make yourself. I don't feel the quality of their products (although my sister insisted) is better than that of a knife set purchased at Bed, Bath & Beyond or even Marshall's. So as we made our way through the store not one sales associate asked if we needed help or even said hello.... what I also found humorous is that they had a printed comforter upstairs on display. The exact, and I mean exact same print & size , one on overstock.com during Christmas for under $150.00 but crate & barrel was charging over $200.00- ew! $200.00 just for a name- get real! Shame on you for your terrible customer service! After special ordering an entire living room, I was told there was a delay in the material and my furniture would not be available for another 3 months. That brings the delivery to 6 months from date of purchase. Then, I am told that they only "white glove" deliver once a month to my area - add another month. When I finally get it scheduled I am told that it will be delivered between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. I go to work at 4:00 p.m. I would be home all day for a delivery, and they are unwilling to budge on delivery. I was informed that they would need to "submit a request to corporate" and that they may not be able to deliver until October! A huge mistake buying from this store! Wish I could give negative stars! read more
