So extremely crazily catastrophically astronomically incredibly RUDE. Some lady with glasses yelled at my son for sitting on a couch telling me to contain my kids. Mind you he is special needs and we will never be back to this store ever again. Not to mention, we were in there to buy a couch, looking to spend some serious money but now they will miss out on forever more. Came in to just browse. The store has 2 levels. Second level has the kitchen stuff so that's where we spent most of our time. They had some really nice measurements spoons and peelers. The kitchen gadgets didn't have any price tags on them so for pricing we had to refer to the store website. They need to improve the display to have the prices available on the bins that these items are located. We were never greeted during our visit. But the staff was nice and smiled of we passed them or shared the elevator. Lovely stuff, just pricey. read more

This keeps getting crazier! Set up delivery again. The chair is to be delivered today. No call yesterday to give me a timeframe. Called the 800 number this morning after 9 AM and the recording told me to call back during business hours. I guess Tuesday at 9 AM isn't considered business hours. Guess what? Finally got ahold of CB and they don't show my chair being delivered today. If I could give a rating of -10 I would. Wonder if I will ever get the chair.??? read more

We bought a house and decided to furnished the whole house with Crate and Barrel & CB2 items. Our first order was about 46k. We requested the lights to be delivered first so that we can install it before the rest of the furniture comes in. It has nothing but a head ache in regards to getting them. First they didnt want to give us a complimentary shipment on the order. We had to asked so they finally did. We scheduled the delivery only to find out the day before that its no longer coming because we didnt pay the shipping fee which should have been waved. Mind you, we took time off work and scheduled the electrician to come install this light. So they not only cost us money, they wasted our time. Now they didnt try to fix rve issue, they best they can do was to deliver everything now 1 week later which is what we didnt want. I must say, this will be the last time I am buying from this company. Customer service and lact of communication is very poor. You just lost my business. read more

I'm living the same unfortunate experience as others who recently purchased furniture from the Crate & Barrel store at UTC. Promised items before Thanksgiving. One of two items that came in had to be sent back. Another item is totally missing in action. Support team promised delivery before Christmas ... then early January ... now late January. They told me it was late because it was a special order. They finally acknowledged that wasn't true. Standard order for which they've had my money for 3 months. Their team seems knowledgeable and caring, but even that can't make up for a company that isn't up to the tasks of supply chain / inventory management and customer support. My wife and I have been shopping with them for many many years, but sadly we're done. I could go on, but what's the point. Go on and take a look at their stores, but spend a little time on line finding a more reliable supplier (and better price). Sad and pathetic. Perhaps I'm jaded by the fact not a single personal has taken the opportunity to apologize for the inconvenience. read more

I don't think I own a singe C&B item but always loved their products and design. Browsed for glassware since I didn't find anything I liked at Pottery. Love the fact that it's almost a one stop shop. Has two floors of indoor and outdoor furniture displays and all sorts of kitchen needs. They also carry SMEG and was drooling over the mat white toaster. I just can't justify paying 200+ unless toasts come out buttered. Maybe then I'll reconsider. Brought home 8 highball glasses and a marble tray. Thank heavens we don't need any furnitures... C&B can def cause serious damage to your bank account. read more

I've shopped at C&B for years and always had a great experience both in store and online. I've purchased furniture, flatware, glasses, knives and small appliances. I just recently had one of the most atrocious experiences ever at this C&B at UTC in Sarasota. Long story short - I recently purchased a Shun knife and wanted to add the 8" chefs knife. I saw it in the case and it was marked on sale at $89 and wanted to purchase it. When I found a sales person she told me it was no longer on sale, took it out of the case and told me they didn't have any in stock. I asked if I could buy one and wait until it came it but she refused to talk to a manager about it. She wouldn't let me see the sale ticket because I wanted to take a pic of it so I could inquire about it but it "disappeared". Next I had an issue buying something else because both me and my partner share an account (my name is on the account) because of the changes in credit card providers for C&B and was made to feel STUPID. I finally just left the store. I don't know her name but I know her face and trust me I'll never let her help me again! I hope that C&B management read this and know how off putting she was and how disappointed as a customer I am now. read more

Continually interrupts, even after repeatedly asking her to allow you to finish a question before she tries to answer. My husband ordered a desk and paid for it in full. The day of delivery he got a call that the desk was damaged and they had to order a new one. Today the new desk was scheduled to be delivered. He cleared his schedule to be at home. Two hours before delivery, Crate and Barrel called, another damaged desk! How long are they going to do this! Unacceptable! Am glad I helped a friend purchase a AXIS 11 couch from Crate and Barrel Sarasota vs buying online from a non physical store. Friend reports Sectional came with a messed up seam. The Sarasota team checked it out immediately and arranged a replacement. Made it as easy as could be. Excellent customer service. Very professional and responsive. Nice furniture, poor order fulfillment We ordered a complete bedroom set (king bed, dresser, armoire, night stands) in early June. We were told we would have everything in approximately two weeks since all was in stock at the New Jersey warehouse. Then the stories started changing. Warehouse was closed for a while in June. Okay, we'll wait a little while longer. Then we were told we'd be getting everything except the 7 drawer dresser. Then we were told the bed was back ordered. We got the night stands and the armoire. There were some minor repairs needed. Two weeks later the 7 drawer dresser shows up. Again some minor repairs needed. Then we're told there are issues because of a new computer system. Bed will be here on July 16th. Nope, not happening. Now the bed is supposed to be here the end of next week or maybe the following. A piece is back ordered. HUH???!!! What piece? We've been sleeping on a mattress on the floor for over a month now. We love the furniture, we loved our salesperson, even the delivery guys are terrific. However, we are very disappointed with Crate and Barrel in general due to the shifting stories and vague timelines. Communication has been good, but experience has been sub par. Make sure you get confirmation of available stock before committing. read more
