The website said they would be open today Sunday April 28 until 6:00 p.m. but I got there at 5:20 and they were gone.

The manager personally came over to ask about my allergy and to assure me they had gone as far as making a new breading mixture for my entree to avoid cross-contamination. Talk about going the extra mile!! Very impressed with the quality of service and our server Kevin did a fantastic job of taking care of us! Now - the food. We had the chips, salsa and queso to start. The queso is thick, creamy and has just the right touch of spiciness. So good! The salsa is finely chopped and very flavorful. 10/10 on all of the above! Everything fried was delicious!! The seasoning in the breading was good and the sides were a good quantity and also very good. But - the desserts...YUM!! We got the chocolate cake which was so fluffy and coated in chocolate that melted in our mouths. The key lime pie was equally high on the yum factor! Don't skip dessert here!! Can't wait to go back and try more menu items. I'm quite sure everything they make will be worth the trip! Thank you for an amazing experience!!

I ordered grilled salmon and my wife ordered fried catfish. Service was prompt and food was plentiful. My salmon had a cilantro cream sauce that was lightly seasoned and complemented my generous portion of salmon. It was accompanied by some nicely cooked rice and green beans and two hush puppies. My wife enjoyed her generous portion of fried catfish and coleslaw and ate a little of her fries and pinto beans. She said the fries and beans were fine but she was full from all of the catfish. Overall, it was a tasty meal but y'all better be hungry because you're gonna get plenty of eat here. Come check em out!

We went here for lunch after looking around Lake Palestine for some land…read more The ambience is very attractive and feels like a Texas restaurant. We were seated upstairs and it was cold because the AC blows directly onto the tables. The complimentary chips and salsa were very good. Salsa has some kick and the chips were fresh and not greasy. The wife had chicken and waffles and really liked it. I had the chicken fried breast and it came out hot. The crust was crispy. The chicken was tender and moist. The gravy needs some salt and pepper because it was pretty bland. The mashed potatoes and collards were excellent. The kid had quesadilla and liked it. Our server Eli, who worked very hard going up and down the stairs for all the tables upstairs, was professional and efficient. I bet she is tired at the end of a shift after going up and down stairs for hours at end. Overall, we liked this place very much and I think we will return the next time we are in the area.

I ordered the skirt steak with rice and queso . It comes with tortillas on the side so you can make tacos if you like. All of the food is super tasty and fresh ! The steak was cooked to perfection. Great flavor in the rice and great queso. I also had an old fashioned and it was very good! Nice gem I had no idea about.

My friend and my girlfriend both ordered their espresso martini that my friend claimed was the best espresso martini in town, while I got the bartender's recommendation of the Animal Style, a pineapple and jalapeño infused tequila with strawberries, cardamom bitters, and a lemon peel garnish. Normally, I hate any drink that is spicy. I cannot stand a Bloody Mary because I don't believe drinks should be allowed to be spicy, but this one, for having jalapeño, is not spicy at all. If anything, it's slightly savory with its tropical flavor. The bartender was great. They have appetizers and tapas as well and as my girlfriend sat down, she really wanted just one of their fresh oysters. I ordered her just one to try and it was $4.25. They gave us the smallest one they could find. The tiniest oyster of all time. I guess size really didn't matter because according to her it was very good. I would go back and have a few more cocktails, but it is a nice place to hang out on the square on a Friday night. A good time to be had by all. RIYL: The finest, most $15ish cocktail you can find.
