Been eating at this joint for years; however, recent purchases have been truly disappointing. In particular, currently, the early stage of the 2024 crawfish season, they're selling crawfish at $15.99 per pound, claiming to be all live and fresh. However, we received a mix of some fresh and mostly obviously frozen crawfish. Some were large, solid hard-shell ones (not the size that should be available at this time of year) with rotted intestines and a strong preservative aftertaste, likely from last year's growing season. The head-on shrimp was also mushy and of poor quality. Additionally, the weight felt short when ordering to go. They opted for cheaper quality instead of investing in higher-quality ingredients, still selling at a premium price comparable with other joint offering fresh ingredients. I hope this joint considers its loyal customers and improves its food quality soon. Otherwise, it's definitely not an option I'll be returning to. read more

Since moving into Sugar Land, we get lazy to drive out of our little bubble. As much as I love trying out the next hot spot, I just don't have time. So we have began exploring our own neighborhood and embracing it. This our default crawfish joint in the area. We usually get 4 lbs of garlic butter medium spicy. For ever 2 lbs of crawfish they give a piece of corn for free. They are busy, but never too packed, we usually are out and about, call in an order an by the time we get there is it ready to bring home. Shrimmmmmmmmmp... This place is great, but is easy to miss because it is nestled in the shopping center near the Kroger on Highway 6 in Missouri City. The restaurant was nice and clean. The staff was nice, friendly, and attentive. On the day we went, there was not a lot of people in the restaurant! Ohhhhh and, you can write on the Walllllllls!!!! I love it! Just ask them for a marker, you dont have to bring your own. I got the Garlic Flavor Medium Spicy. It was delish. Not too salty and not too hot pepper. I also order a piece of corn which tasted like it was frozen! I just dipped it in some of the garlic sauce and it tasted better. The shrimp was cooked just right, not too gummy or underdone. I ordered headless shrimp, but just know that they come with tails and are not deveined. So, just ask for the tool if you don't like eating the vein so you can clean it yourself. This place used to be called Crawfish Heaven last year. They closed down for quite a while and broke my heart. They have now re-opened it now under a new name and a new owner. They have a very similar menu and the food and service is just as amazing as it was when it was Crawfish Heaven. As soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted with big smiles from all the employees. I was offered a menu and told I would have to wait about 15 minutes for my crawfish. My crawfish arrived in only five minutes piping hot, juicy and absolutely delicious. The sauce was just incredible. I ordered 2 pounds of da' mix medium spicy. The da'mix is a similar sauce to the old heaven sauce. They even tossed in a piece of corn at no extra cost. I could've gone with the hot, but I have a high tolerance. The medium was delicious, but it could've been a little spicier for my own personal taste. I think most people who enjoy spicy food would really appreciate either flavor level. This restaurant cannot go wrong. It's small and quaint but extremely friendly and the food is just incredible. As other disclaimers have said, this place used to be called crawfish haven. It is crawfish season when I went, and I feel like the quality is still the same if not better. We got 10lbs of crawfish, garlic butter, and it was very large and fresh. I felt like the seasoning could have been a bit more garlicky and saltier, but otherwise, it was a pleasant experience. Most importantly, they did not overcharge their crawfish (7.99 per pound); very good value. As for the sides, we got cajun fries, cajun wings, and garlic noodles. The cajun fries were crisp, fresh, well seasoned/not too salty. The cajun wings were the same. The noodles i feel like were slightly overcooked, and they were again, not garlicky enough. I've had tastier garlic noodles elsewhere, but these were not bad, just not the best. So overall would definitely visit again! If you liked crawfish haven before, i'd still give this place a try! read more

UPDATE: I decided to stop by and give crawfish n more one more try since I wasn't pleased on my last visit. As usual I ordered two gumbos to go for $15 (Not a bad price). Get home to enjoy my gumbo on this rainy day to be completely disappointed. There were 5 small shrimp in total with a ton of undercooked okra and decent amount of sausage. I miss their original recipe with larger meatier shrimp and okra cooked to perfection. Sadly, I'll have to find a new go to spot for gumbo. read more

For the crawfish not in Chinatown this place is so delish!!! Love that it's 5 minutes from our house. We normally order for Togo since we have a crazy toddler that I cannot wrangle for dinner time and crawfish is already messy enough as is. Garlic butter flavor crawfish is our fave! We had the Cajun chicken wings were amazing and the fried lobster tail was flavorful with airy crust with a nice dipping sauce. HOWEVER, The garlic butter medium spicy crawfish was a NO GO! Okay. It's crawfish season and I'm back on my self imposed crawfish tour. Came here with a friend tonight to catch up and talk shop. We arrived about 7:45 and we probably say down at or around 8:10. We sat in a booth against the window.. the TV is strategically placed there! Great job! Not even being sarcastic, fantastic job worked out perfectly for us. They have sodas, teas and some bottled beers available. I stuck with water. Now to the good stuff,we had two pounds of crawfish (1 lb in garlic butter medium and 1lb in "da mixz" medium), a cluster of crab legs and six potatoes. So, 1 corn on the cob comes with every 2 lbs you order. But potatoes come and are sold separate. That's why I docked a stock. 3 potatoes for 2.00 is steep to me. But alas here we are anyway. They were nice and soft potatoes. Crawfish varied in size from tiny to large but they were not over cooked. In fact, they were perfectly cooked still firm. The seasoning is fantastic. Our waiter described the medium spice as a little more heat than hot Cheetos. He was correct. By the end of our meals, sinuses had definitely cleared up.
