Love this place so much. My man and I eat here literally 4 times a week. The owner is so sweet; the service is fast, and the food is always amazing. The crawfish are super good! Some of them were overcooked & I think they need to do a better job on cleaning it as well. 3/5 * Lemon pepper wings- a bit salty but they were fresh & right out of the fryer. I loved the crispness on the outside. 4/5 * Tamarind wings- while it was hot & right out of the fryer. I didn't like the taste of it, the sauce was off putting & just tasted like some weird tasting ketchup but more sweet. 2/5 * Whole Peking duck- definitely not worth it, the duck was overcooked, dry & chewy. Mo City Crawfish is my husband's new favorite spot for crawfish. They have a good deal on the regular and jumbo crawfish. I believe it was 45 for 5 lbs of jumbo. The restaurant has a few fish tanks and tv's to entertain. The service was good and quick. As soon as we entered we were greeted and sat by the owner and received menus quickly. The ambiance isn't fancy just a good spot for food. We ordered the kids fish and fries which my son loved. I loved my crab but it was a little pricy...I think it was 17 a cluster. The seasoning was A+. The corn and potatoes were an extra charge..but we're good. I know I'll be back because my husband loves it BUT paying over 40 dollars for crab and corn and potatoes was a bit much...not a deal there. It's early season for live crawfish but after taking a few months off, I was excited to jump back in. I have been wanting to check out Mo City Crawfish since last year and last night the crawfish craving hit and I decided it was time. Location is in a strip center. Easy to find and plenty of parking. When we came in we were promptly seated to a booth. It looks family owned - there were three total employees that I saw but only one person really serving and taking orders (I'm guessing he is the owner or manager here). First thing I noticed on their menu is that they charge for everything here - even condiments. Yes, ketchup, limes, Mayo, etc will be charged if you want it. Not a super huge deal but it did stand out since at most places these are generally freebies and/or readily on the table for use. I also noticed drinks were a little pricey too with most being $6+ dollars (no refills) and I think the cheapest drink was iced tea for $3. The price for crawfish as of 1/4/23 is $7.99 lb however you must dine in and that only applies to garlic and Cajun flavor. If you want a different flavor with your crawfish, there is a $2 charge per order. I ordered 2lbs of the crawfish extra spicy with the mo city house sauce, add eggs (2) and sausage (1). My bf got 2lbs crawfish mild garlic butter and lemon pepper add sausage (1). I will say the size of the crawfish was honestly pretty decent compared to another place we visited last weekend. Size was a mix of medium to small, which I was impressed with. The extra spicy crawfish was truly extra spicy with plenty of garlic, which I loved. What I didn't love was that our server really never came back to check on us at all, but gave all of his attention to two other tables sitting right in front of us. I had to flag him down 3 times just for a refill on my water. As I mentioned at the beginning there were a total of 3 people in the front, but no one really came by to check on us until the end when we were wrapping up our meal and getting ready to pay. Usually this wouldn't bother me, but considering there were only 3 total tables dining and each table didn't have more than 2 people - I believe their service can use improvement. We also noticed that our server was offering some freebies to the other two tables on top of not checking on us. I'm honestly not sure why we were excluded, but it really didn't feel welcoming. I came out to support small business and enjoyed my food. However, I left disappointed in the service and felt like we were being treated differently on purpose for some reason. Even my bf called this out before I said anything to him about it. Crawfish was 4/5 stars for price and good size so early in the season. Service is 2/5 stars based on our experience. read more

Decided to go to Mo City crawfish to try it since a lot of people rave in the crawfish group on FB. Walked in and it was no one there. I went on a Thursday around 4pm, and it was one lady there. They had their prices on the board which read, 11.99 per pound for crawfish. I ordered two pounds which was the minimum. I ordered Cajun garlic, and for two flavors it's an additional $2. The eggs was 2 for $3.50. I thought that was a complete ripped off. They were tiny!! Like really tiny. I've been eating crawfish and have gotten bigger mudbugs at other places for cheaper. Also, getting down to the bottom of the bowl, the crawfish was cold. I can tell they were frozen and not fresh. So basically $13 per pound for small, frozen crawfish. Complete scam. Came back this week during lunch and their crawfish still slaps. I got 2 lbs take out ($8.99/lb) in the Cajun + Garlic Butter sauce. In comparison, the Mo City sauce is my favorite. This is a great second. It did feel a little salty- maybe it was the garlic butter but once I tossed in some potatoes and sausage I had at home... yes yes yes. It was good! Then my mom had some and she burst into my room and said "Oh this is good. We gotta go back." So it has my moms stamp of approval! I tend to come during weekday lunch so the service is always quick. I will make sure to call in my order next time. This will be my go to spot for crawfish in the Mo especially because it's so close to home. Nothing to say about the ambience. Alright, 5lbs/$25 sounds kinda crazy to me. My siblings and I met up here for lunch to see what all the hype was about.
