Beware of the ticket, a 20% tip was added to before I got it back & there was a line for an extra tip. I normally leave about a 30% tip but I did not approve of this so the 20% is all they got. I keep giving this place a try during crawfish season because I live close by, but if you're looking for great flavor, this is not it. The crawfish are a decent size and the add-ons you can throw into the bag are actually pretty good, but once you crack open the crawfish themselves, there's just no flavor at all. I wanted to like it because the convenience is there, but Houston has way too many amazing crawfish spots to settle for bland crawfish. I was sooo excited to come here after watching Maggie's TikTok videos. Like, I literally woke up at the early hours of 11am and spent my whole morning watching mukbangs from this place, getting hyped for a full seafood day. I pulled up in my Sunday's best--my brand new seafood boil t-shirt dress--ready for the experience. The atmosphere was actually really nice, and our waiter was super friendly, no complaints there at all. But honestly... for the price, the seafood was kind of mid. I had such high expectations, and it just didn't hit the way I thought it would. It genuinely felt like some of the food came straight out of a frozen bag from the store. On top of that, my friend ordered $100 king crab legs, and they brought out the wrong crab. Then they took it back, which I'm assuming means they just threw it away... so I don't understand why they wouldn't offer it to us anyway since it was their mistake. And the crab legs she did get looked more like "prince" crab legs, not king. Overall, I just feel like my expectations were way higher than what we got. I was really looking forward to this place, and it just didn't deliver the way I hoped. Maybe if I had gone with Maggie, the experience (and the food) would've been better. I went to this place today 6/28 to have some relaxing time with my girls because a girl has just been going through. We ordered two lemon drops and we both did not like the taste at all. So, we sent them back and reordered something else. Well, my new drink was horrible as well. I even had my girls try it because I wanted to make sure was tasting what I was tasting. They both were like no girl send that back. It was so confusing because I was like why are the drinks tasting like this. So, our waiter comes back and I tell him and he immediately gets upset. Maybe because he was the one making them. And goes to his boss. His boss comes over in my face and starts yelling at me and saying this is your second drink you sent back. I told him it wasn't drinkable. It wasn't my fault they both were bad. The manager continues to scream at me and mind you I have my four-year-old with us as well. He screams so loud and full of anger that I had to tell him to back off. I had to scream myself at him twice to back off of me with the yelling. What place of business does that? He finally backs off but is still screaming. I was shaking. Instead of him saying what can we do to fix this and actually cater to the customer he yelled at me and the entire place heard him. I tried to give these people a chance the night before I ordered a Tuesday special because you can order any of their specials on any day. I paid 38$ and told them please no spice I'm pregnant and have a health issue that prevents me from eating anything spicy. I asked please no spice and when I got home the food was extremely spicy. I called the establishment and was told to just bring the food so the next day I did. Why these people give me the same exact food in a different sauce? Everything is mushy the potatoes the corn and all the seafood is over cooked. Came here on a nice, quiet Friday night and got met with the weirdest, most uncomfortable experience. It started out normal like any other dining experience. We were greeted promptly and gave our server Jen our order right away. It was an order with a couple of special requests and substitutions so she read it back to us before sending it in. She read it back perfectly and everything was correct. The food came and the order wasn't right. I asked for an extra piece of corn instead of the two potatoes it came with, and she verified that when reading it back to me. Simple mistake made by the busy kitchen staff. I've worked in the industry for ten years so I get it. All I asked for when she came back to the table was the corn I originally ordered. She gave me a blank stare when I pointed out that it was incorrect and gave my plate the same look before saying she needed to go check the ticket. When she did come back to the table, she had the side of corn. She set it down, picked up a fork and proceeded to reach over my boyfriend and stab the potato that was on my plate. All she said was "I need the potatoes back." She did the same thing to the second potato. As a restaurant manager, I would never. I felt very awkward and made a joke asking if she was gonna serve it to someone else. She then said to me "oh so you want the potatoes now?" And then reached for and picked up the extra side of corn she had just dropped off, taking it back. I grabbed it back from her and explained it was fine, I just thought it was weird to take the potatoes back after they had already touched the table. An entire plate, I'd understand. But potatoes that probably cost thirty cents? Just eat the cost in the name of customer service. She never came back to the table after that, never apologized either. Someone else came and took over our table. Brenda was sweet. Otherwise, the entire experience was extremely uncomfortable and could've been completely avoided. I would've paid for the extra sides if it would've prevented her from reaching over the table to stab something to take it off my plate. I would've even handed her the potato myself. The crab is sweet all three types and meaty, the lobster is too. Nothing was too tough or chewy everything was perfect. I got this as a to go order and they packaged everything in a way that you can drive with the swamp in your back seat and drive unbothered are y'all hearing me? The trays I purchased served 10 people and we all were satisfied with a tray left over. The next day we reheated our left over tray and went back to get another ten pounds of crawfish to share with some friends. We celebrated Easter with a different menu this year ok. My husband, son and I have hit Happy Crab 2 weekends in a row! This is our third time here and we love it. They have specials everyday that include all types of crab, shrimp, fish and lobster. They also have happy hour during the week until 6. My husband and I get the 2 snowcrab clusters and the shrimp (each) and add a side of scallops...he gets garlic mild and I get it I think it's called the mix and hot hot. Soooo good! It comes with corn and potatoes too. My son loves the fish and fry kids meal. The seasoning on the boil is just right! This is a must go to spot to not empty your pockets while getting your belly full! The staff is always friendy and helpful. They have a great bar and cute nautical decor all over. You have to know what to order here and what's no so worth it. We ordered the P1 Party Platter, which was ~$75 with mild cajun sauce and butter on the side. Good size crab legs and sausage was very flavorful. I wish there were more potatoes but to their credit they tell you how many corn/potatoes are included. Good amount of shrimp and flavor in the plate, but it didnt taste ... cajun. It was good but not very true to the name. Not worth it to order extra veggies here, because the portions are small. Fried rice plate is also small but about $13 per portion. Good spot to have some food and socialize, but not somewhere I'd think of returning on my own. read more
