However, things got dicey when one dentist suggested he could put small fillings at the base of two lower teeth, where years of teeth-clenching caused the gums to recede. The fillings were too shallow and popped out within a few months. I scheduled again with a different dentist to have the fillings redone, as I now had shallow holes exposed from where the first dentist drilled. The second dentist did an excellent job with the left tooth -- but didn't do the OTHER tooth, which he should have seen had a small hole in it when I opened my mouth! I lost my job and couldn't afford to return to a dentist to have the work done, so now I have a cavity where I didn't have one before. So a word of advice: these dentists are freaky-busy, so be assertive: remind them of what you need. And make your concerns very clear, and push to have them satisfied, if necessary, so you can walk out happy. I have had good service from DA for over a decade, and I wouldn't let two bad visits deter you from giving them a try.

The clinic itself is in my insurance network, but the dentist they used was not. It felt very misleading, especially since they should have known the dentist wasn't covered before assigning my case. Another unpleasant surprise was discovering they charge a 3% fee for all credit card payments, which was never disclosed before I paid. Between the unexpected charges, lack of transparency, and poor communication, I left feeling frustrated and would not recommend this office if I could give this dental office, zero stars I would.

It was then, after the X-rays, that I was informed that you don't take my insurance. Now I get a bill for $362.80 for x-rays that never should have been taken. I don't think I should be charged for these X-rays because of an employee's failure to do her job and check information submitted.
