I would avoid this dental office. I went in for a basic cleaning. When I checked in, I was told they couldn't verify my insurance, so I had to pay out of pocket. After my appointment, which included an x-ray that a dentist who was out of network looked at, they suddenly "found" my insurance. This resulted in an unexpected $140 charge. The clinic itself is in my insurance network, but the dentist they used was not. It felt very misleading, especially since they should have known the dentist wasn't covered before assigning my case. Another unpleasant surprise was discovering they charge a 3% fee for all credit card payments, which was never disclosed before I paid. Between the unexpected charges, lack of transparency, and poor communication, I left feeling frustrated and would not recommend this office if I could give this dental office, zero stars I would. read more

Dr. Hee Soo Kim is a dentist to avoid. He rushed through my service and did an ATROCIOUS job. My cap fell off my tooth. He removed the cement, cleaned the cap, and had his assistant who usually works surgery (per her statements) apply the cement. She was raving about how fast he works, which should have been a my sign to leave before he got back. He rushed through the placement of my cap and then ground down the cap and the WRONG surrounding teeth. When I said he was grinding the wrong tooth, he and the assistant took offense. It's MY MOUTH! I can still feel the sharp ridge he left on two teeth in my mouth above the cap. Avoid him and this dentistry business at all costs. read more

Gave insurance information over the phone when making the appointment and their portal days prior to the appointment. Spent almost 30 minutes trying to check in before walking out. read more

They are worse than car sales people. They charge for unnecessary appointments. They give false hopes of receiving dental implants. Only leaving the patient with more debt and no improvement. My advice is to shop for estimates elsewhere before committing to their outrageous price. read more

We are not onto our third location (Sturtevant, Franklin, Kenosha) in an attempt to find a pediatric dentist that will stay more than 6 months. I am beyond frustrated that our insurance requires us to seek care through Dental Associates. The care seems okay, but it's hard to trust when you never see the same person twice. I'm concerned my children's dental care is not a priority to the company. There must be a reason these providers are leaving... I'd like to know why. read more

Well if I could leave zero stars I would. As a parent who has had students attend college all over the US this is the first time a business was unbelievably rude, unhelpful and down right bully's. My daughter was seen as an emergency for wisdom tooth pain and she was charged for services that they did but would be of no use for her. You see if you pay for pano X-rays and a surgical consultation, and schedule your surgery for the only break you get you should get to have your surgery. BUT not here! They could not keep her surgery appointment because the surgeon left the practice and they could not schedule her in time for another consultation for another surgeon. So she is out of luck. Just left with paying the bills for services "they did" but are NO use for her. When I called to see if they could at least cancel the surgery consultation fees they called my daughter and bullied her by saying "why does your mom have to deal with us now". Well her Mom holds the dental insurance for her student daughter and works for the insurance company. Sorry to say my daughter is still in pain and all they wanted was the bill paid in full which I did and to schedule for "free", another surgery consult for a surgery she cannot fit into her nursing school schedule. Please stay away from this clinic they are out just to make the buck. The office manager Brandi and the clinic manager Stacy both felt it was better to make the buck. Also when was the last time we as a paying customer missed an appointment and was charged a fee. Seems like as a patient at this clinic they don't care about keeping appointments, the patients time is worth nothing. I confirmed with both our home dentist office and another dentist office they would have at least written off the consultation fees. read more

After being on hold for 3 min. twice and getting the busy signal, I got a scheduler that told me because I hadn't been there since 6/25/21 that now I was a new patient--I had been going there since they opened--and now I could not get an exam and cleaning at the same time. They never have appointments in a timely manner. You have to schedule an appointment for an exam and X-ray before you can schedule two appointments to get your teeth cleaned. I had an excellent experience for years, when my care was only the checkup and cleaning every six months. For general care, DA receives five stars. Affordable, thorough care. However, things got dicey when one dentist suggested he could put small fillings at the base of two lower teeth, where years of teeth-clenching caused the gums to recede. The fillings were too shallow and popped out within a few months. I scheduled again with a different dentist to have the fillings redone, as I now had shallow holes exposed from where the first dentist drilled. The second dentist did an excellent job with the left tooth -- but didn't do the OTHER tooth, which he should have seen had a small hole in it when I opened my mouth! I lost my job and couldn't afford to return to a dentist to have the work done, so now I have a cavity where I didn't have one before. So a word of advice: these dentists are freaky-busy, so be assertive: remind them of what you need. And make your concerns very clear, and push to have them satisfied, if necessary, so you can walk out happy. I have had good service from DA for over a decade, and I wouldn't let two bad visits deter you from giving them a try. read more

My family and I have been patients for over 20 years and for the last five years we all have experienced poor service from the billing department. Wrong charges to accounts, services billed to incorrect family members, services billed for more then the qouted amounts, these are some of the few complaints we have. Each time we deal with a problem it is a struggle to get the issue resolved. It took 6 months for them to stop billing an adult family member for another adult, in a different household, for services they billed incorrectly. We all have had enough, it's time to find a new dentist with an adequate billing department. read more

The service was good and fast. I had gine in for an extraction due to a broken tooth. They called my insurance and recieved authorization and amount of payment. I paid the balance before leaving rhe office, then 60 days later get a bill. All in total out of pocket ended up being close to what I was quoted as cash price, and the insurance paid what they said they would.... I really don't understand how medical is the only industry that can do this. read more

The dentists there burnt my gums with bleach that trickled down my throat during a root canal. You and insurance company will be billed for services that you never received. Their filling on my front teeth fell out on the very next day because failed to use bonding and they still charged my insurance to to Max for their shotty work. Prepare to be ultimately disappointed with dental work that goes nowhere. They are always losing dentists and staff. So poorly run. Made an appointment for my husband who has a bad tooth as part of a bridge, and a painful abcess. We had been going here for years, but stopped after finding a good dentist close to home. My husband was convinced that our dentist was charging too much, so we went back here for a second opinion. He made it quite clear on the phone that he had a painful abcess, and that it was part of a bridge. After taking X-rays, the dentist assigned to him told him that he needed a root canal, and gum scaling ( which he had just had done a year ago at our regular dentists office) and that they could do nothing to alleviate his pain today, because that required a periodontist who only worked two days a week, today not being one of those days! After all that, the receptionist had the nerve to ask him for $145! For what?! He left Kenosha ( we live in Gurnee) still unable to eat, with half of his face swollen up, and not even an antibiotic to clear up the abcess! That place is a dental stockyard, move em in, move em out, keep em rolling! We will never, EVER return!!! read more

This place is just horrible as far as customer service goes. I took my 2 year old son there for his first dentist appointment about six months ago, and they were not patient at all with him. He was nervous about having strangers poking around in his mouth and they said nothing to comfort him. They didn't tell him what they were doing, and when he started wiggling around and crying, they told me to hold him down. Also, I had to have a filling there, and they gave me an estimate of $0 out of pocket and then charged me $90 a couple of days later when I had the filling. When I brought this up, they accused me of lying about it, even though I had a copy of the estimate with me, and told me to discuss it with my insurance company. I also left a message there to speak with someone, and when I called back, they again accused me of lying about leaving a message even though I gave them the name of the person I left the message with. The very rude person on the phone said that there is no way I left a message with that person because he is not the person I needed to speak with, so nobody would have transferred me to him. Just horrible service...I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more
