I later discovered the real problem was a severely rotten sill plate under the wall. Once the wall was properly jacked up and the damaged sill plate was replaced, the issue was immediately fixed. I'm disappointed that such an expensive foundation repair was recommended without identifying the actual cause of the problem. I feel the diagnosis was inaccurate and cost me a substantial amount of money unnecessarily. I would encourage others to get multiple opinions before committing to major foundation work.
