It's disappointing; this RV park could be so great, but for a lack of caring! Centrally located, mature shade trees, sizable enough spaces, a club house with a zillion DVDs, a pool, and beautiful red butte backdrop. However...! SO poorly kept!! Some spaces have picnic tables, ours didn't so we asked and were told we could move one; the nearest one was way too heavy for me! Old cinders in grill, rock lot edges all askew, sad grass if any, and a dog "run" that is DISGUSTING!! The artificial turf filled with the stench of urine. I wouldn't want my dogs back in the motor home after using the NASTY area! Some RVs look as if permanent, and were trashy. read more

Pros: clean pool, dog friendly, large shade trees, convenient location, clean laundry room w/affordable machines. Cons: the sites are VERY close, I wasn't sure that our new neighbors would get their slides out fully. they had a water pipe leak the second day we were here- so no water on & off for 24 hours. Electricity was also off for a short time also. Strangely, the office was closed for nearly 2 days due to this leak. Nearly completed our two week stay without ever encountering the manager. However, the evening before we were leaving, she rudely came to the pool and asked us to leave. Ten mins prior, another staff told us we needed to leave in 20 mins as they were going to do maintenance for an inspection. Our family stayed here for 2 weeks. We booked over 6 months in advance. When we arrived there was a lot of issues with the site we were placed on. We would not have fit, we were placed in the second spot near the main road even though we have several small children (which we told them months ago when booking). We were moved multiple times by the manager and then once we got all set up the main manager Dana mentioned moving us again because we had been placed in a driveway that was meant for two small rigs. We told her we did not want to move again after what we had already gone through and it was just a whole thing. Kindness goes a long way when running a business and we felt that there were multiple times the manager could have been kinder to both us and her employees. The sites are relatively small, about half the camp appears to live there full time. Park is clean and pool is nice. Kanab is a cute town and we enjoyed Brown Box for quality ice cream and Assava for organic smoothies. 1.5 hours to Bryce and 1.5 hours to Mt. Zion. Highly recommend the pink coral sand dunes as well! read more

called and booked 10 day stay. we have 7 pet chickens that we travel with which they were informed when booking and said they were welcome. "One Night Stand" (stayed in Oct) This place is ok if you are just needing a place to stay for one night. LOOK AT PICTURES They tell you a lot about the super tight spots. Our pull through was so tight the guy next to us saw I was having problems getting in, came out moved his car. My RV is only 28' but I still had to park sideways to get out of road. There were some spots that were nice (see pic), only reason I didn't give them a "poor". **best part of park was showers & dog park** Staff were not practicing ANY Covid safety procedures, no concerns whatsoever for your health & well being. We had to go out first to ensure no loose dogs before taking ours over to dog park on leash. Seemed there was no concern of dogs off leash. We didn't have reservations so glad we got a spot, but as I was walking out. He tells me you can only stay one day, make sure you are out by stated time. I think all RVs know that. Strange? While checking in guy walked in stating lady in laundry room had a a washer didn't spin properly & clothes are dripping wet. Guy behind counter says what do you want me to do about. He finally just tells guy she just needs to put them in the dryer. Just example of customer service I saw. You have to find your own spot with small placards. Clean and tidy with beautiful red cliff backdrops, this RV park has a pool, and we did three loads of laundry in their laundromat while we were here for two nights. For us it was a good stopover en route to Bryce Canyon, to visit the north rim of the Grand Canyon, about two hours each way (driving a 28' RV on some windy roads, YMMV). Worth the time and trouble, btw. On our second night we picked up terrific Mexican take-out from Escobar's a block away. Our gravel site was clean and level, with a fire pit (which we did not use), and a picnic table. Conveniently located just off the highway, there was some road noise starting around 5am, not too bad but there it is. There are a number of nearby RV parks that looked very nice that would be quieter but you wouldn't be able to walk to dinner. We were happy with our choice. read more

Edit - OIC, apparently, new owners took over - that's why some of the older reviews are not great. My son and I just took our first big camping trip and a few days into it, we ended up at Crazy Horse RV Resort. Now, we're not well-versed with RV/camping sites yet but... I really don't understand the low reviews for Crazy Horse. It was awesome! To start with, the staff, Brittney and Holly, were so nice. We emailed to change our reservation dates several times and they never lost patience with us (traveling with a kid and a dog can go slower than you think). Then they found a way to help us extend 2-days when we realized how much we liked it there... and realized the internet WIFI was excellent for my remote working and my son's distance learning school. I recommend advance reservations, though. We got lucky with the extension and they were completely full for most of the time we were there. The whole place looks freshly remodeled and so clean - the crew keeps the office/store/lounge spotless. Crazy Horse also has a clean pool, a little playground, a tennis court, and a dog area (on-leash). The laundry room was great and offered washes for $2 and dry for $1.50 (four machines each though one washer was down when we got there and another went down during our stay - shake your dirt out of your clothes, people). The grounds were well organized and clean, as well, especially the updated shower, bathroom, and dog wash facilities in the middle of the community. The tent sites were a little barren, though, so we paid for an upgrade with some shade (our doggie appreciated that). Crazy Horse has a nice pool table, comfy couches, a little library, and a big movie borrow shelf. The prices at the store were great... better than dollar tree across the street in the prices I compared. They also offer ice, propane, and... you know, almost everything. So yeah... we may not have a lot of experience but really loved Crazy Horse. They helped us become addicted to camping and we'll definitely be back. See ya there! read more

We arrived and payed the $45 US one night feeand this is the site we were assigned that seems a little unkept for a so-called resort and the price. Just a 10 minute cleanup of the site would have brung a 4 star review. There are also some questionable full time RV's that give a shady feel to the park. GREAT RV resort!! Very well kept, clean and perfect for kids. The sites aren't right on top of each other either. Each site has plenty of room, shade and their own fire pits. Pool area has new lounges. Playground is newer and clean. Fenced in dog area with a bath. Check in was easy. Will definitely come back here! read more

Staff here was so nice! The bathrooms are all remodeled and some of the nicest we've used on our van trip. They have a swimming pool and even a small gym and general store. The old reviews were from different management. I would absolutely stay here again and even would have stayed here longer if we knew! Great deal! I will say the campsites are few and small, right up next to eachother (no privacy) but if you are passing through it's a perfect, clean place to crash. read more

A previous review commented a smell with he water. Well! Looks like water, smells like water and tastes like water--must be water. When I showered my booty, water felt good. Also drank the water via my filter. Excellent shower pressure too, but the fiberglass enclosure is tight but OK. Careful hot water is hot hot hot! Spacious camp tent or RV sites on gravel with electrical (30 amp and limited 50 amp), gray and black water. Better mountain mesa views than 2 other RV parks in town. Terry (manager) is very much an accommodating host. Some general repairs, improvements and housekeeping here and there and some paint in the bath / shower / office and I would move up a star on my rating for sure. But all functional--stayed 4 days/nights. Happy camper! My neighbors (RIP) were quiet (we chose a site backing up to a cemetary). So peaceful! Majority of sites not by cemetary so do not be spooked away! The manager says the owner wants to make improvements. So keep your eye on this place; could be a great location for a vacation. The employees were very nice and wanted to help - nice pool - don't forget to sign in! Sadly your experience will vary depending on where they put you. Many spots are not even close to level by a foot off. Lots of dogs and cats roaming around and crap is everywhere. WiFi did not work anywhere except in the office the entire time we were there. Cell phone service is spotty. No escorts to your site. Can get loud if you are close to the road. Lots of thorns and stickers. Some gravel but mostly dirt. read more

When reading negative reviews about this campground (on here or other platforms), take into consideration new ownership took over in Dec 2018. The park now has completely remodeled bathrooms, laundry room, and pool. Plus, they have a small (but well stocked) convenience store that also sells propane. Some sites have lots of room and a grassy area. Other sites are a little more cramped. Some shade and nice views. All utilities work well - including the Wifi from our site. The park is at the end of town and only about a mile from several nice restaurants. Kanab has an ACE hardware and 2 grocery stores for replenishing supplies. There are a couple of nice boondocking locations within 45 minutes north and south of here, so this park is a great place to spend a couple of nights to dump/fill your tanks and get some laundry done. Such a lovely time here. We had plenty of space and shade for a hot summer week in UT. The neighbors are kind and friendly. There is a gas station right next door for a quick fill up and 2 grocery stores down the street. The facilities are very clean and they even have a nice grassy areas for your dogs. Looked at other RV camp sites in the area and this one definitely had the most shade/large trees. Will be coming back to this resort if I'm back in Kanab! read more

One of the best rv parks in Utah. Everything from the pool, to the bathrooms , showers and clubhouse are spotless. They even have a fenced in yard with a dog wash. The laundry facilities are super clean and well maintained. The staff is helpful and courteous and go out of their way to help. Perfect location to make your home base for Zion or any of the wonderful southern Utah attractions. Within walking distance to grocery stores, restaurants and adventure stores. Lots of trees, grass and even a chicken coop and yard for comic relief. Want to send a shoutout to Suzy at the front desk and Brad who is the maintenance Manager. For the cost of the spaces I would expect decent security, good wifi and good customer service but I've been here a month and it's absolutely horrible. The internet is garbage and I can't run my online business because of slow dial-up speeds and hardly a decent connection. Security is a huge failure because I've caught multiple people trying to break into my RV and other's trailers. Reported to management and they just shrug it off like they don't care. I've even filed a police report. Cellular service is absolutely horrid here as well but it works better than their wifi. Lots are far from leveled and there's hardly any parking. I would not recommend this resort...shouldn't even be considered a resort! read more

WORST TENT CAMPING EVER Sounded great and was reviewed well for tent campung. There were seven adjacent sites each separated by a wooden plank there was no vegetation there's one standard size picnic table that according to the manager was to be assured by everybody. Basically you had a 12 x 15 ft patch of gravel which was not even level there were no other structures no vegetation there is nothing between you and the next campsite and then you would you park your car immediately in front of the club" campsite. All for the price of $25. Absolutely the worst camping for tents I have ever seen. I was able to get one nights reservation back but the other I forfeited and it was so horrible that we decided not to Camp there. I just do not want other campers to make the same mistake. read more

On an 8 night tour of northern Arizona and southern Utah this was by far the best campground. The owner was very sweet and pleasant. Very nice people that run the park, I wouldn't call it an upscale place but it is very friendly and has plenty of very spacious rv spots open. We have been here a few days now and it has not been very full at all. Which is great for their wifi connection, they have 3 separate wifi connections and we have been streaming movies every night on our smart tv with very few problems. Right in the center of town, walking distance from everything, backed up right next to a beautiful mountain. They also have a few tent sites and full timer RV folks. Trees throughout. Backdrop of red canyons from some sites Facilities/Amenities = 3/5 Showers, bathrooms, pool, playground laundry on site. Bathrooms are dated but clean. Cell service is good. Wifi gets pretty bogged down in evenings and data is spotty. Location = 4/5 This is a great hub locations for several exciting day trips all within an hour and a half including: Zion, North Rim Grand Canyon, Lake Powell/Page etc. We rode our bikes to the BLM visitors center which has great info on the area and is where you can enter the lottery for Coyote Buttes (The Wave). We also rode our bikes into town which has a few nice options for dinner. Town also has two nice grocery stores/hardware stores etc. Price/Value 4/5 $30/night for full hookups. This is not a fancy place to stay but the access to activities makes it a great bang for your buck. Ease of booking/Availability 4/5 Book via phone (no online reservations). After spending an afternoon in Page, AZ we were without a place to rest our heads before venturing off to Zion national park. Crazy Horse Campground came up on maps on my iPhone after calling and speaking with a very kind sir, we booked our site and drove over! As soon as we arrived we were satisfied. The service in the office was spot on and the woman was very helpful. We got wifi and free books to enjoy for our evening. The campsite is a quaint piece of land right near the beautiful Utah mountain. Bathrooms were clean and warm. I definitely would recommend any fellow traveler to spend a night at Crazy Horse Campground. read more

Nice little campground. Was lucky to get a space, all campgrounds in Page were fully booked. Talking to office and he indicated that I was lucky, a large group of 30 RVs coming in for a family reunion. Park was nice and quiet. Saw 4 sites for tents. Sites are gravel with trees. Sites are fairly level, ours had a nice grassy area with a fire pit. Kanab is in the center of many National Parks. Will be back, next time with reservations. read more

First review? Cool. My family went to Kanab to volunteer at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary and wanted a place to park our small trailer. Crazy Horse was a fine place to stay. Positives: -it is located right in the heart of the town of Kanab, close to everything. -there is a pool. -there are bathrooms and showers -there is some shade -for some reason, I didn't mind the country music that was constantly playing in the bathroom. Negatives: -the women's bathroom wasn't cleaned for two days. This was evident by the garbage pile-up, dirty toilets, and the cigarette on the floor near the sink. -making a reservation is unusual. I was in email contact with a woman named Ginger for a few weeks, but I was never required to give any info or make a deposit. She just said, "yes, we have you for those dates". We weren't sure till we showed up if we actually had a spot. Other campers had the same experience. -the kids' play area was pretty scary, with an old slide, some old swings, and a scary-looking wooden playhouse. There were no kids playing there at all. I didn't have any plan but needed a rv campsite, saw the sign at last minute and probably came in a little fast. Went to office where the lady said you know the speed limit is 5 mph, I said I know it now. Very small sign, camp ground was a little wet and our view was a cemetery. Went down with a group of 3 other people and decided to "camp" here at one of their tent sites. We got in late, set up camp and went to bed. On the Crazy Horse website it states $18 per night for tent sites and they accommodate up to 4 people and each site candor multiple tents. We wake up in the morning and go to Best Friends animal sanctuary. The office at crazy horse did not open until 8:30am. We get back and begin to take doe are camp and head over to the office to pay. One of the managers drives over on his 4 wheeler and greets us. We tell him we are only staying one night and that we need to pay him for that night. He says great then proceeds to tell us it is $21 per tent on the site. We had two 6x4 two man tents side by side. I tell him the site says $18 for a tent for up to four people and that it states multiple tents. He says "Oh no, just one tent.". I told him had his website stated this we would have just brought our 4 man tent that is actually bigger than our two man tents combined. He didn't seem to care and drove off. About five minutes later he drives by again and tells us he talked to "management" who was likely himself, and says he can give us a deal. He said we would pay the $21 for the one tent and $10 for the second. I tried to tell him again that the website says multiple tents and he then got mad and told me " Want to go back to $21 a piece?". At this point I was about to lose it, but caught myself and said no. We packed up, went to the office and paid him his $31 for a crappy 14x10 plot of uneven dirt and left. We ended up paying more for the tent site than any RV pull up site in the park. Would not recommend to anyone looking for a tent site or RV for that matter. They will try to nickel and dime you anyway possible. read more
