I was also hoping to "rent" a pet from the Animal Sanctuary for the duration of our visit, but alas, checked in too late for that. I'd advise anyone who wants to "rent" a pet to call in advance to understand the process and time cut-off. I loved the room. It was super cute and well-appointed for guests with pets. There were two bowls waiting near the front door, and two adorable sleeping areas - one in a cut-out in the wall, and another a pull-out trundle-style bed. The mercantile/ store was stocked with cute apparel for pet-lovers as well as items for pets. Breakfast was also served in the store in the morning - with lots of interesting and yummy options - like vegan egg bites and chia seed pudding. 10/10 recommend this place!!

The BF Animal Sanctuary was on our schedule (at least 2 of the 4 days) and both reviews and their website looked great. Pros: - Location: Convenient, especially is you're visiting the Sanctuary. On the main road in the north part of Kanab. - Exterior: A newish looking hotel with nice views to the north and west. - Room: Excellent. Our king suite was spacious. One VERY large room included a big bedroom, a good sized kitchen and a spacious bathroom/shower/vanity. It also had plenty of space for storage and large closets. All done with contemporary Scandinavian furniture which minimizes clutter and convenient controls for lighting, ventilation and automatic shades. - Employees: Helpful. People at the reception desk and in the breakfast area/"Mercantile Shop" were all very friendly. - Breakfast: Vegan and very good. Included with the room. While it wasn't a buffet, you could order as much as you'd like. Much of it was homemade and I especially liked the "Overnight Oats". Unusual Pros: - Cats and dogs are encouraged to stay with accommodations in the room and across the property - "Barn Door" to create privacy between the bedroom and bathroom - Free laundry - Free iPad to use while in the room - Nicely equipped kitchen - Plentiful towels - Choice of full daily housekeeping, partial or none - Attractive high desert landscaping - If you'd like merchandise from Best Friends, the Mercantile Shop had everything Cons: - Bath towels for our first day were luxurious. The next 4 days were like a Holiday Inn. - Toilet paper was 1...maybe 2 ply and quite scratchy - Tissues were a bit rough - Parking was tight, especially on weekends and after 7 PM There are many places to stay in Kanab since it's a busy stop for Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks, but the Roadhouse would be our only choice.

We spent the evening relaxing in the in door pool, the water temp was nice and the pool area was lined with large windows within the parking lot. Unfortunately, the hot tub was closed because of issues. We checked in and out remotely with no issues with the digital key. Quiet stay. Would've like to spend some time in Kanab and visit some local trails.

So it caught me by surprise just how much I liked Quail Park Lodge. It's tucked against those incredible red rock views and endless Utah skies, right on the main road through Kanab. Granted, that's not saying much because Kanab basically has two main streets, but the location is perfect for getting anywhere in town while still feeling peaceful. The best way I can describe it is that it has Airbnb personality without the Airbnb hassle. The room felt modern, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated instead of looking like it was furnished by the Hotel Beige Committee. The bed was genuinely comfortable, the bathroom was spotless, and the rain shower head made me briefly consider whether I should just live there now. Everything about the place was easy. Keyless entry, simple check-in, easy parking, a nice little pool out front, and lots of those small touches that make you feel like someone actually cared about the guest experience instead of just checking boxes. I booked online, although you'll also notice a QR code posted at the property if you're already in town. Either way it's as painless as booking gets. It's rare that I say a hotel actually made my trip better, but this one absolutely did. I'd stay here again without a second thought. Five stars. I'd give it a 10 out of 10, but Yelp insists on limiting my enthusiasm.

The property itself is perfectly decent. It appears renovated, our room was nicely maintained, and overall the physical condition of the hotel was good. My concern is primarily with staff training, customer service, and the distinction between a pet and a service animal. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act, a trained service dog is not considered a pet. Hotels generally must permit a service animal to accompany a person with a disability in areas where guests are normally allowed, regardless of a hotel's regular pet policy. When it is not obvious what service the animal provides, staff are generally limited to asking two questions: whether the dog is required because of a disability and what work or task the dog has been trained to perform. A hotel cannot simply treat a service animal as an ordinary pet or restrict it to designated "pet-friendly" rooms. Unfortunately, that distinction seemed to create considerable confusion during our stay. We had reserved a king room in advance, but upon arrival we encountered substantial difficulty regarding my service dog and ultimately ended up in a room with two queen beds rather than the king accommodation we had expected. What should have been a straightforward check-in became unnecessarily stressful because we repeatedly had to explain that a service animal and a pet are not the same thing. I do want to recognize General Manager Tim. Once he became involved and understood what had occurred, he was gracious, professional, and took responsibility for the experience. He ultimately compensated our two-night stay, which I appreciated. That demonstrated accountability from senior management. Unfortunately, another troubling interaction occurred around checkout. A member of the housekeeping staff saw our dog and reacted very strongly, saying words to the effect of, "Oh my God, you have a dog here," and suggesting the area would have to be shut down. The interaction was uncomfortable and unnecessary. She subsequently shared personal information about herself, which I did not understand to be relevant to the situation. My purpose in writing this review isn't to attack individual employees. It's to encourage management to provide comprehensive ADA and service-animal training. Employees working in the hospitality industry need to understand the difference between pets and trained service animals and know how to interact professionally with guests who use them. This protects both the guest and the hotel. The property itself deserves credit for being clean, renovated, and reasonably comfortable, and Tim deserves recognition for taking responsibility and attempting to make things right. However, travelers should also be able to expect knowledgeable and welcoming service, particularly regarding something as fundamental as ADA compliance. With proper staff training and stronger coaching in hospitality, this could easily have been a four-star experience. Unfortunately, based on what we personally encountered, three stars is the most I can give this stay.

The park was bought the very end of 2018. The park has been completely remodeled and is fantastic. They have 30/50 amp sites, pickleball and basketball court, corn hole, 24hr laundry, swimming pool, 24hr bathhouse, wi-fi, they can fill propane and they also have a small convenience store and game room. The staff is also very knowledgeable and nice. read more

Can't say enough about Ashley who checked in on our fur babies while we out exploring the area! She is professional but yet treated our 2 standard poodles like they were hers. We were out longer than expected, sent her a text saying we would be later than expected. Ashley went and checked on our girls providing true peace of mind!! I wish more campgrounds offered pet setting services. This is a wonderful place for photographers and astronomers of all levels. So much to see and do!

August 31 - Sept 3, 2026 - Zion National Park…read more We stayed here for 3 nights, and there's really nothing like staying inside Zion National Park. We had beautiful mountain views right from our campsite. Our site had electric hookups, but no water or sewer. There is an RV dump station on site, which also had water available for tank fills. The location is definitely the biggest advantage. Every morning, we could walk a short distance to the shuttle and head out for another great hike. We could also walk to the Visitor Center. And, both a blessing and a curse, it was an easy walk across the bridge into Springdale, where we had a couple of meals and a few drinks at Zion Brewery. Just remember to take your park pass and ID with you--you'll need them to get back into the park. When I made the reservation, I chose a shady site fairly close to the river. Then we arrived on a day when there were flash floods, and suddenly being close to the river didn't seem like such a great idea. Our site also had a tree with low-hanging branches that rubbed the top of our RV whenever the wind picked up. I definitely questioned my campsite choice a few times. This isn't a campground where you're going to feel completely "away from it all." We could see Cable Mountain Lodge across the river, and the lights from the lodge and businesses in Zion Canyon Village were noticeable at night. There was some noise, too. But honestly, the location more than made up for it. Being right in the park and having such easy access to the shuttle was worth it. And watching the sunset over the mountains from our campsite, then waking up to deer hanging out just a few feet from our RV, was pretty special. We'd definitely stay here again.

Pros I side the campground walking distance to the little town get the bus to Zion park or rent e-bikes to get around. No cars allowed to the Narrows. Get the bus to the town of Springdale eat shop rent stuff. Cons: expect delays this is in the national park always a line to get in walking riding a bike or driving your car. If going to the Narrows busses start around 7 or 8 am. Bike pickup are early whenever you want them so pick up your bike early to get back into the park before the line starts. Campsites are big not all crunched up you have plenty of space between you and your neighbor. When it's a little windy no fires and hat so ever. Flushable toilets squirrels are aggressive here taking a nap outside and a got scratched by one.

We stayed at site R15, and I personally think it is THE best site on the grounds. The only reason I took a star off is they give you one token per person per day, which is for a hot, 6-minute shower. I've never camped anywhere where they give you barely enough time to shower. At least make it a solid 10-minute shower. That was bananas. I was scared to be sudsy and my shower cut off or something. Other than that, LOVED this place! They have a small pool that we did not ever go in, but the Virgin River was fun! Bring a tube to blow up or go buy one at the hardware shop. If we ever go to Zion again, we will definitely stay here and try to get site R15.

The front desk staff was great but the other staff such as housekeepers and groundskeepers weren't very friendly here, seems like it really hurts to even say goodbye morning. We stayed in a cabin this time around and had an ant problem. Mind you we didn't have any food with us. They took care of the issue right away but we still had an ongoing issue My parents stayed at the campground and they enjoyed it. Personally, the price is very high. The river is nice to have nearby. The views and location overall is really nice. I do think more trees would be beneficial especially during the summer months. There is one pool which gets pretty crowded. Hopefully with the high prices they will consider adding a second pool or splash pad for kids. Lastly, and this isn't really the businesses issue although I think the unfriendliness of staff is a result of the climate in today's world. A family staying in the cabin next to us clearly did not like Hispanics. Male white in his 50s approximately 130 pounds wearing a MAGA hat A female Hispanic or Asian 40 years old approx 150 pounds A 14 year old Asian mix boy And possibly a younger boy The male said a racist comment to me as his son laugh and then stared at me as I walked to my car because I was Hispanic. Yet his wife looked hispanic and son Asian. I responded with that was incredibly rude and to have a nice day. The poor man is a confused coward. But I couldn't help but notice every single worker I saw was indeed white, so again the man is confused because I'm not white so I don't work at this facility. It's sad that that family will breed hate into this world and the man probably can't sleep at night because brown people exist haha. That's not what we need in today's world . But for me and my house we will continue to be brown and praise Jesus! I think my family and I will try to stay somewhere else next year.
