We LOVED this campsite. It was $148 a night, which is what we normally pay for a hotel room somewhere, but this place is well worth it! We stayed at site R15, and I personally think it is THE best site on the grounds. The only reason I took a star off is they give you one token per person per day, which is for a hot, 6-minute shower. I've never camped anywhere where they give you barely enough time to shower. At least make it a solid 10-minute shower. That was bananas. I was scared to be sudsy and my shower cut off or something. Other than that, LOVED this place! They have a small pool that we did not ever go in, but the Virgin River was fun! Bring a tube to blow up or go buy one at the hardware shop. If we ever go to Zion again, we will definitely stay here and try to get site R15. read more

Easy check-in even though we arrived after hours. Clean bathrooms and showers. Easy dump site next to the water faucet and power for our 22' RV rental. The showers do operate on a token system where the token runs the shower for 6 minutes. And the front desk will give you a token per person per day. They log them in their computer, so they certainly keep track of how many you're getting and when. Overall, we enjoyed it; no hassles. read more

My family and I have been staying here for the last four years. We got married in Utah two years ago. The front desk staff was great but the other staff such as housekeepers and groundskeepers weren't very friendly here, seems like it really hurts to even say goodbye morning. We stayed in a cabin this time around and had an ant problem. Mind you we didn't have any food with us. They took care of the issue right away but we still had an ongoing issue My parents stayed at the campground and they enjoyed it. Personally, the price is very high. The river is nice to have nearby. The views and location overall is really nice. I do think more trees would be beneficial especially during the summer months. There is one pool which gets pretty crowded. Hopefully with the high prices they will consider adding a second pool or splash pad for kids. Lastly, and this isn't really the businesses issue although I think the unfriendliness of staff is a result of the climate in today's world. A family staying in the cabin next to us clearly did not like Hispanics. Male white in his 50s approximately 130 pounds wearing a MAGA hat A female Hispanic or Asian 40 years old approx 150 pounds A 14 year old Asian mix boy And possibly a younger boy The male said a racist comment to me as his son laugh and then stared at me as I walked to my car because I was Hispanic. Yet his wife looked hispanic and son Asian. I responded with that was incredibly rude and to have a nice day. The poor man is a confused coward. But I couldn't help but notice every single worker I saw was indeed white, so again the man is confused because I'm not white so I don't work at this facility. It's sad that that family will breed hate into this world and the man probably can't sleep at night because brown people exist haha. That's not what we need in today's world . But for me and my house we will continue to be brown and praise Jesus! I think my family and I will try to stay somewhere else next year. read more

It doesn't get much better than this!! If you're outdoorsy but still appreciate amenities this place is great!! The heated pool is lovely, playground for kids, laundry facilities available, the mini mart is nice for treats and things you may have forgotten. Lots of pull thru sites and full hookups which was nice with my trailer and others that are right along the Virgin River!! The views are amazing, as well. You're right in Zion Valley and can see all the red rock views over your morning coffee. Also there is a store across the street and lots of restaurants and shops within a 10-15 minute walk. This review is for just Cathleen alone. We had a wonderful stay but everytime we encountered Cathleen she had a unwelcoming attitude. She seemed nice to other (non ethnic) people but to our family she was rude. We've been coming here for years and always had a wonderful time and great experiences but this time we left with a bad taste in our mouths. We ended up leaving the camp site a little later then check out and she was hassling us like we were trying to stay longer without paying. Hopefully she will see this and touch up in her customer service. Not a nice way to treat yearly customers. read more

Great place to RV camp. They have water, sewer and electric hookups. I think they have cable too, but we're camping...no tv for us! The place has been rebuilt since the floods and I think they have done a great job. Of course because it's being rebuilt, there are some areas that don't have much shade. but they have planted more trees and in a couple years all sites will have shade. It is right next to the river, so that is amazing. Sucha beautiful spot you can walk to and enjoy Nature in all its beauty! Hubby and I walked down there with a a bottle of wine and enjoyed the nice day just sitting in the river. We didn't have any trouble with people during quiet times. We actually commented about how quiet the campground was. All the campers we saw were very respectful. Kids ride their bikes around the park, people walk their dogs on leash. The groundskeepers drive around often on their golf cart just keeping an eye on things. I really like that. Their office stays open until 11pm, which is great if you need extra firewood or anything else from the office. All the staff are awesome! So friendly!! They have a small playground and a pool. Nice showers.. we didn't use them because we have the RV, but they were clean. They give you tokens to use the showers. They have a couple spots for doggy doodie. The trash bins are easy to find. Our spot had a fire pit , BBQ and a picnic table. It was a nice spot on one of the corners. Pretty easy to back the trailer in and pull out. They are still rebuilding the main building so the staff is currently working out of a couple C Trains, but it looks like the new building will be pretty big...right next to the pool. They rent tent spots and they also have cabin rentals. They looked really nice! Some reviews complained about the wifi. But when the park is completely full and you have hundreds of people (adults and their children) all online, watching movies, streaming or whatever they do, of course it's going to be slow. What else do you expect?! If you have a crap ton of people on your OWN HOME WIFI, it would slow down. Cut them some slack...there's only so much any network can do. But we have stayed there when it's completely full and we've stayed there when it's half full.... Huge difference in connection speed when the place is packed with families! The wifi was fine after the weekend was over and the park is half full. They are located on the main drive through Springdale. Very easy to find and easy to maneuver through park. If you need any outdoor gear rentals or want to go on some tours, go across the street to Zion Adventure Company. They are awesome too! read more

This is the second time we've stayed here, and we had a great time! It's all about location here and you can't get closer than this park with full hookups! Literally walking distance from the front entrance to Zion! The regular spaces in the park are pretty cramped, so I suggest the spots along the river. Our space D24 was very spacious and scenic! Although on the river, I wouldn't suggest going in, Giardia is common in the waters here. We travel with two labs and this place has no grass for them, so we bring astroturf squares for them to wee on! The bus system in town and in the park is great and gets you anywhere you need to go! New this year is their camper services building which has a great store with food and souvenirs. Also a huge laundromat! (Bring lots of quarters!) read more

Great location . We stayed in their cabin for three nights. Receptionist was super friendly and helpful at check in. They have a cool store with nice selection of shirts and hats. Our cabin was cute and had all we needed- but bring your cups / silverware/dish soap. River near by so definitely don't forget to check it out. This is our first time to Zion so we picked this campground by other Yelp reviews. We are so happy with this place. It is huge with a river running behind the campgrounds and the beautiful mountain formations all around. Check in was easy and the gentleman was nice and funny. In the office they have many supplies and coffee and drinks, like they have in gas stations which is nice for people to buy a coffee on the way to a hike or any time of day. The campground is very clean and is very quiet for the amount of campers. There are nice cabins, a pool, and a tiny playground. One of the best things is that the Springdale shuttle stops right out in front and if you wanted to just walk to the Zion shuttle I believe it is only about .4 miles away. There are restaurants right near by and stores. Great place to stay! read more

Expensive! RV Sites are stacked in tight! Workers and supervisor are very rude if you have a question about your bill! I approached them very nicely just wanting to understand. We stayed at this RV park for 6 nights on our work/play trip through all the southern Utah National Parks. It was our last stop, and we were excited to explore Zion NP. The location of this RV resort is incredibly close to the entrance and visitor center, making it a great jumping off point for the park. It's also walking distance to many shops and restaurants, so if you like to eat out or shop while RV'ing, this is a great spot. You are definitely "in town" and you have great views of the rock walls lining this narrow valley. In terms of our site, G5, is was fairly small and felt a bit like a parking lot. Granted, we booked this about 10 weeks in advance, and that is somewhat short notice to get a good spot in the new normal of everyone camping. When we walked around the park at night, there are larger and nicer sites, especially the ones around the creek, but most of those don't have sewer hookups. We were trying to work Monday through Friday, and our Verizon MIFI worked well, but our T-Mobile MIFI did not. Our AT&T cell phones worked okay as well. My biggest complaint about our site was the foxtails. We have a tiny Pomeranian and I spent the entire trip picking these little buggers out of her fur.... it's nature, I know, but other RV resorts (like KOA's) will pull these annoying weeds, since the rest of the park is dirt and gravel. Bathrooms looked clean, but we didn't use the showers at all, since we use our own shower in our rig, so I can't comment on that, other than they issue shower tokens, which seems a bit strange in this day and age. Staff was nice, were flexible when we needed to cut our trip short by one night and refunded us for that night. If you want a high end RV resort, this isn't it. If you want rustic camping, this isn't it either. It's a transient tourist location that people stay about two nights to see Zion, and then move on. Other than getting in Watchman campground in the park, this is probably the best option if you want to be close to the entrance of Zion. Last thing - this town (and Utah in general) does not like dogs. Even with beautiful weather and lovely outdoor patios for dining, places will not let you bring your dog with you. Also, the restaurants in this town are not very good, so stock up on food, and cook at your campsite with your dog. read more

I would give them 5 stars except they need better communication. Most importantly, the warning about motorhomes and the Zion park tunnel needs to be more prominent. In there confirmation email and on their website. You can't get to them from the east without going through a tunnel, and the national park restricts access to that tunnel for motorhomes after a certain time. And whatever that time is, in reality it is half hour earlier than that because the park rangers are jerks and don't wanna deal with motorhomes in their park in general and so make it much more difficult. And it's a 2 hour drive to go around to enter Springdale from the west instead of the east. Other than that, this is a lovely campground. Really, Springdale is a lovely city. Zion National Park is like the Disney world of nature. The bus system is fantastic. They really know how to organize and move crowds of people. This campground is centrally located. Right on a River. Scenic views. Has a pool. Some of the spots can be crowded, but you are allowed to select your site in advance on a map so just make your reservation in advance and you can have a fantastic spacious spot right on the river. read more

Great location. Great views. We have a spot on the river and the water running by makes a great background sound. I would rate this a 5 on views. Maybe a 4 or 5 based on accommodations... But I've got to knock that down to a three based on the fact that all the sites here are mostly dirt. It just rained and the place is a mid bath. Go out of your RV and you have to leave your shoes outside. Nasty red mud. There are trillions of tons of rock surrounding the place, one would think that some crushed rock would be pretty cheap here. Maybe I'm wrong on that. read more

We had a fantastic time at this site! So much fun for the family and plenty of stuff for the kids to get into. Our only complaint would be an employee named Mark who threatened calling the police on my 12 year old for his e-bike. The bike is slow and to be honest kind of a beater. He can't go any faster on it than another child on a peddle bike. The interaction was completely inappropriate freaked my kid out. When I finally found him to talk it though he was super rude. My family and I stayed here two nights in late March. The staff was so friendly and accommodating, with a treasure trove of local knowledge and recommendations. We stayed in one of their cabins, it was very clean and exactly what we needed after a long drive. The cabin we chose featured two rooms, the front room had a queen bed and the rear room, separated by a closing door had two bunkbeds. I'm 5'8 and um +200 lbs, I slept well in the bunk. The location is 2 walkable miles to the Zion National Park entrance and a shuttle to the park is conveniently at the driveway to the property. The property features a nice pool area, a playground for the kids, laundry facilities, and WIFI if you can't unplug. I would suggest unplugging and enjoying the beautiful surroundings of this property. Great value, I highly recommend it and look forward to coming back. read more

Lucky for us, my nephew and his family just purchased an RV and we were able to tagalong on their first trip to Zion! Since they're newbies at this, we all kind of helped them figure out the details while we were sipping on a few cold ones in the backyard in Las Vegas. Zion is only 2.45 hours away!! After a quick search on the web, we discovered Zion Canyon Campground and the rest is history! Here are the highlights: 1) Reserve your spot on www.camplife.com. Easy breezy! 2) Space R13, which is on the river front, was the perfect location for the water toys, especially on a hot summer day! 3) Free firewood if it's your birthday! 4) BBQ Grill and Firepit 5) 30 Amp hook-up; No sewer 6) Public restrooms/Showers are super clean and equipped with A/C!! 7) Waste disposal dump is on the way out. Bring trash bags! 8) Fur babies are allowed 9) Hoodoos Convenience Store is right across the street (they also have smoothies & ice cream); Sol Grocery is about a half a mile away. 10) The views of the rock formations were INCREDIBLE! We had plans to take the shuttle and hike, but thoroughly enjoyed chillaxin at the campground and floating down the South Fork Virgin River instead. 11) Both of our neighbors were super nice throughout the day and even offered spices since we kinda came unprepared. :-) 12) The mature trees provided a nice umbrella of shade. 13) If you're over staying out in the elements, the campground also has a hotel. 14) There's a pool and laundry room! Great location, just outside the Zion gates. Nice showers which were private. Not multi-stall showers. Good ammenities are near by. Good view from our site. Full hook-ups. Zion seems to have a secret society of "how to do it" tips. The park shuttle is hard to get tickets for and it does NOT go out the gates. So if you need to walk from the shuttle, in the sun, to your place, this is about as far I would want to go. It's hot after a day hiking. Zion is worth the research on how to do it. This campground had a pool, and all the things you need. If you don't want a campground, stay in a hotel. read more

We stayed here on a recent trip through the West. We paid $100 a night for a tent spot. ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS. For a square plot of dirt and a picnic table. Despite the fact that their misleading website implies that there is power available (pics), that is a lie. There is no power available at the tent plots. So if you plan on sleeping on an air mattress, I hope you're ok with lugging it across the whole campground looking for an empty RV site or cramming it into the bathroom to air it up and then dragging it back. Good luck with that. The "water" available at the sites is just a naked spigot to be shared between about 3 sites. It was grimy and dusty and I definitely didn't have confidence in drinking it. I ended up filling my bottles in the National park. A side note about the plot of dirt: there was a wind advisory in place for the area. Obviously this isn't an issue the campground can control, but what they CAN do is maybe have some gravel on the plots. It was literally just dirt. So when the wind would blow it would get kicked up. We had dirt in our tents, in our eyes, in our cars, literally everywhere. So for a few hundred dollars they could loose gravel the sites and prevent so much dust being kicked up by the wind. You get 6 tokens for showers, no matter how many people are with you. So not only do you pay $100 for dirt, you also get to pay an extra $6 per person per day of your stay to shower. So if you have 2 extra people, that's $12 a day extra. Oh, and the showers only last 6 minutes. So better be quick! At least the water was hot and has good pressure. I did have an issue where my shower took my token and didn't start. I banged on it a few times and it finally started up but I lost about 30 seconds on my 6 minute shower. The bathrooms are just "ok". They're clean and that's about it. They are centrally located to the sites which is convenient. There is also an outside sink for washing dishes. A complaint I had about the bathrooms was there was no counters available to freshen up. And especially since there's no power at tent sites if you need to dry your hair or anything like that, it's basically impossible. You'd think maybe they could provide somewhere for people to get ready since there's no other place with power?? There's only one outlet in the bathroom, again super inconvenient. Another note about the bathrooms, there is poor ventilation so when you're in there getting dressed in the morning you get to sit there and smell everyone's morning poo while you brush your teeth. We also had basically no where to charge anything, such as phones or lights. We used the laundry facilities, $2 per load to wash and $2 to dry. We needed two washers but only needed one dryer. The laundry facility was nice and had a large table for folding. There was one outlet in the laundry room so we ended up charging some things while our laundry ran and dried. Dogs are only allowed if you have an RV. No dogs allowed in tents. I think this is a little absurd, because lots of people bring their dogs to go hiking and stuff. We didn't have dogs but if we did, we couldn't have stayed here. Overall this was just meh. We stayed at a site in Bryce that was exponentially nicer for about half the price. And they had plenty of counter space to get ready. This place seems to cater to people with RVs for sure, so if you have a RV you're set. Tent people beware! read more

Pros: Fairly quiet during the off season, when folks go back to work/school from summer. reasonable rates, clean showers/restrooms, lovely views and swimming pool. Laundry is no longer an option. Cabins are being built after the flash floods ruined so much of the hotel. Cons: no privacy between camps (yes you'll hear the snoring camper next door). My pet peeve: People continuously slamming their car doors Sadly, I think this will be my last time here (8/2022). There are less and less tent camp sites. The wifi was great between 2014-2017. Now you're lucky to even have intermittent wifi. I try to avoid the weekends here. People don't respect the quiet times. I don't give a fuxk about your weed, but I certainly don't want to smell it. This place used to be my top pick. Not entirely their fault, but there is plenty of room fire improvement. Or rather, just back to the old days. read more

It's very nice and since they were literally wiped off the map a couple of years ago after a flood that devastated the whole town, I'm impressed. I camp a lot and this is actually better than most parks I've been too. The sites aren't huge but heck there's a whole national park a 1/4 mile away. In the four nights/5 days we were camped we really just came back to sleep. The town of Springdale is quaint and new with plentiful good restaurants and shops and stores all within walking distance. If it's too far to walk the free shuttle will take you up to the park or further down into town (Sol Foods Market and the hardware store next door had everything we needed - https://www.solfoods.com/ ). There is a pool but we didn't get to go in since we left the day it opened (April 1, 2022) but my wife stuck her toe in and said it was a comfortable temperature. The staff are friendly and the park is clean. Restrooms looked to be redone and the showers were hot (you get tokens when you check-in worth 6 minutes). All things considered, I like it and will definitely return. read more

Very clean and easy access to everything you need to enjoy Zion. I loved seeing the new cabins and the shower & bathrooms were always kept clean. The ladies at the registration desk were so nice & patient and helped with anything you needed. We stayed in the cabins with bathrooms/showers and would definitely stay here again. PROS: Cabin was brand new, and perfect size for 2 adults, 2 young kids. Location was great, with a shuttle stop right in front or walk 10-12 min to Zion visitor center. Pool was refreshing for the kids, many food options super close and the convenience store was handy to purchase firewood, and long forks to make s'mores, amongst many other things. Views of Zion Mountains/Watchman were breathtaking. Grounds and facilities were very clean. Was great to have heat/air in our cabin too! CONS: Sheets/Bedding/Towels were waiting for us in a bag upon arrival, so we had to make our own beds which felt like a big ask when paying normal hotel rates and after a long day of travel/hiking. Also would be nice to have minor kitchen essentials like sponge/dish soap, but these items weren't expected based on description. read more

Great for families with young children. Probably the highlight for the kids was playing in the river and the campfire. It was a great jump point for the restaurants and Zion National Park. Mornings and evenings were beautiful with the sun backlighting the mountains. Part of our group stayed in the hotel, the others the campground. The hotel was decent, clean and modern. A bit pricey for what you get, but go figure its a touristy spot. The campsite is basically a parking lot with sites for tents, RV's, etc. Everyone is really tightly packed, and its all very dusty and noisy at times. During October it was very busy. read more

If you like the smell of sewer and dust from a construction pit, then this is your place! Under construction, dirt and dust everywhere. Nothing is paved, zero grass. Avoid the "new area" as it stinks like raw sewage. If I were ever to return, I would only stay along the river. Although those sites do not have full hookups, at least you could have a small chance at fresh air. Avoid if possible. read more

One star for the beautiful location and walking distance to Zion's entry - that's it. - TERRIBLE management who do not care about problems like the multiple power outages in the entire RV campground. They simply do not care and will not accommodate you or refund a penny (seriously, I would have taken at least a penny). - DISGUSTING showers (men's at least); garbage, soap bars with pubes left on the floor and balanced on top of the stalls...horrifying. - MESSY front drive that gets clogged and prevents vehicles from coming in or out if 2 people check-in at the same time which happens alot. - AWFUL design of RV campsites with some of the fire pits being literally within 5 feet of each other, therefore you and your neighbor can't have a fire going at the same time and you will pretty much be sharing a site with them. Tent camped. The sites are tight and you have to be a bit territorial because other campers kind of spread out. The sites are right on the river. I didn't mind the sound of the water, but on the second night I did use ear plugs. The ground here is super hard for tent stakes. Bring a hammer. The sites have a grill and a picnic table and room for one car. There is a store, bathrooms, showers. You need tokens for the 6 minute shower. The staff was super nice. It's a about a mile from the visitor center but there are free shuttles that will take you there if you feel like waiting. The quietest camp I've ever stayed in. read more

Connected to a hotel which means there is a lobby and people you can get help from for longer hours than most campgrounds. 2. Free WiFi- We didn't need it much except to look up trails to hike. 3. Employees that kindly put our ice pack in their freezer overnight so we can keep our cooler cool. 6. Each site has a picnic table, fire pit, and a charcoal grill. 7. Showers were clean and hot. 8. The tent sites are against the river. You'll be able to hear the water flowing through the night. Downfalls: 1. Tent sites are right next to each other. There is absolutely no privacy. 2. If your neighbors wake up early, there is a good chance you'll be woken up. 3. If you want to go to bed early, your neighbors may be playing music loudly because quiet hours don't start until 10pm. 4. WiFi is not reliable at all. You can't beat the location and price! We wanted FULL hookups so a site inside the actual National Park wasn't an option. We walked the 10 minutes/half mile to the park entrance every day and it was easy (there is also a shuttle if you'd prefer). We had a pull-through spot close to the river. The spots along the river are tent and/or camper vehicles, lots of people had those converted astrovans. Those sites had electric and water. They have WiFi but it was spotty at best, most times of the day it didn't work. We didn't use the showers but the bathrooms could have used some extra attention (or more considerate guests!) Campground is walking distance to a reputable outdoor shop that offers rentals and guided trips, also a little ice cream shop and market across the street. The only issue we had was a family who showed up and took up three spots along the river with their two little yappy dogs. They were tent camping and the campground only allows pets in RVs (it was 105 degrees each day we were there). Their dogs barked all day and all night. I complained to the front office and their only response was "Sorry they lied to us, but they'll be leaving in a day." So they don't enforce their own policies. We loved this campground! The only negative is, sites are very close together. Our campfire smoke was blowing into our neighbor's face while they were at their picnic table. Otherwise, great campground. Bathrooms and showers were modern and very clean. Only 0.5 mile from the Zion front gate. You can walk to get in or take a shuttle. Springdale has a lot to offer with quaint coffee shops and restaurants. I would stay here every time! read more
