They even have a section dedicated to Numero Group releases, which I thought was super rad. If you want to try your hand at the bargain bin, there's a room with 50-cent records, too. There is a section near the front (you'll need to kneel) of clearance records underneath some New Arrivals. Every visit to San Antonio I make it a point to come out to Crazy Rhythms records store to see their unique selection of records. I always end up walking out with more than 2 records each visit as their pricing and selection is worth visiting each time. The layout of the shop is great. I recommend starting left side of the shop and work your way around to the right side. You will find all genres sorted out and organized in a very simple and easy to navigate way. Most of the newest arrivals (from folks who are selling or trading their records in) to the back left side. I like starting here just in case I end up finding something cool that just came in. It's a nice way to be able to see what came through to the shop in the last day or two and these records are always diverse in genre. I really enjoy the vintage collection the shop has as decor here. I have seen 8-track players, lunch boxes, older posters from classic albums, cassette players, and even some cool nostalgic childhood toys. I kept smiling at each vintage or throwback items I saw that often tells you "not for sale" or "NFS" stickers on it. As a record collector I take the condition of records seriously before purchasing. I am the annoying record collector who will slide the record out of the sleeve and bend it up to the light to check for scratches, dirt, dust, etc. The last few visits at Crazy Rhythms I have been purchasing and not checking the condition or quality because I trust what I am getting is going to be playable and no bumps/hiccups when I do play them. You will get very good to high-quality records here no doubt. Just heads up - every record collector should know that the cheaper the price (aka clearance or discounted items) usually the quality will suffer but THAT IS NOT THE CASE HERE. You will get better than great quality records and anything that is priced low is probably overstock, common record/selection, and is always priced fairly. You can trust in this record store. Trust. Parking is super easy - just pull right up to the front of the store or park in the private lot. Even when the tourist attractions are busy around the store you will most definitely be able to stop in without having to worry about parking. Dont trust the advertised price... Record had a sticker for $19.99 but rang up at $32.99. Manager/owner literally said "it must have been a mix up but I cant lose money because wholesale was $27 - we aren't Amazon or walmart" Glad he could afford to lose a customer forever, after we bought 3 other records, because we wont be back!! read more

This place has crazy excellent selection and the twin proprietors are well informed music aficionados. I almost didn't want to leave this review because I have become admittedly a little thirsty for my partner to scoop up a grip of fantastic finds on almost every Friday. Z & Z always post the newest selections on Instagram and their Facebook so it's pretty darn tempting to want to get after some new vinyls on the quick. You would be hard pressed to find a better record store here in San Antonio and I'm freakin stoked that it's just around the corner from us. They have some pretty cool buttons and such as well. Such a great local gem. I love all the new stock they are carrying, these two have great taste and a good eye for music. They also really know their inventory and truly know music. Spent wayyyyy too much here which is easy to do. They are limiting how many customers can come in at once and consistently had people waiting at the door while I was there today. Love this place! They care about their customers! Even though there is no mask mandate in this state, they have capacity limits and require masks which is important when you're in the middle of a WORLDWIDE PANDEMIC!! The music selection has been amazing! I collect Blue Note & Prestige Records and man they've had some really good ones at very reasonable prices! If you're a serious collector this shop is a must! If you're like most that are concerned about your well-being during the pandemic, this is definitely the place to go! You may have to wait to get in because of their capacity limits but if you have any instincts of self preservation you won't mind the wait! Customer service is on point and the fellas that own the joint are so knowledgeable that you'll feel like an amateur; in the best way possible. EVERY single time I visit, I leave with a bit of knowledge that, honestly, makes me feel way more empowered as a collector. Go here immediately. Newer record store in San Antonio, thank God! Zak and Zeke have it going on. It's as if I opened my own record store. Prices are awesome and the welcoming atmosphere beats all others. I live close to Austin and have been twice in the last two weeks. I walked out with a pile of records each time. Beatles, Kiss, Sweet, Soundtracks, Pat Benatar, Bruce, Zappa, and more. If you're from Austin it's a cross between Friends of Sound and End of an Ear. Do yourself a favor and hit this store, or not, more for me. My tastes are everywhere rock, punk, jazz, prog, and so on. I had to actually stop myself a few days ago. I don't know if they have kids, but if they do, I'm buying their braces, and the good ones too, not those invisa-crap. read more

Very rude staff. Me and my daughter had no mask on. We were greeted at the door and let in with no problem. The guy talked to us explaining about the store for like five minutes. Then as we were looking through the records and another employee started yelling at us about not having a mask on. They never ask us nicely to put on a mask. It was just yelling to get out and was on our back all the way out the door. We support small business all the time, but I will not support a business that acts that unprofessional towards customers. You especially don't act like that to children. They are complete Assholes!!I do not recommend giving them business. People like that is what is hurting this great country. read more
